“Are you ready?” Olympia asks Brianna. Brianna inhales and exhales. ” Ready as I’ll ever be.” Brianna tells her. ” Oh Don’t worry, you’d probably win this once they hear your voice once.” Olympia says. Brianna chuckles. ” Well this is not the Olympics Olympia. It doesn’t work like that.” Brianna replies. Olympia glares at her. ” What did I say about mentioning Olympics when saying my name?” She asks Brianna who laughs heartedly.
” I didn’t mean it that……” Brianna trails off when she gets a delicious scent of chocolate mint. She inhales it. ” Do you smell that?” She asks. Olympia. ” Smell what?” Olympia asks sniffing. Brianna inhales the delicious scent again. Her lips curve. ” Babes I only smell stinking armpits.” Olympia points out. Brianna gags and laughs. The smell gets stronger. Than something clicked in her brain. ” It’s my mate’s scent.” She whispers but Olympia doesn’t here as she’s focused on something else.
” Don’t you think Carter is just too hot to be real?” Olympia says absentmindly. Brianna doesn’t hear her as she starts to follow the scent. ” And Now our next performer Brianna Ried!” The mc shouts and Brianna stops. She thinks where to go first. Mate which I’d probably reject as I’m still inlove with Ash or my dream? She asks herself. She choose the latter as she rushed to the stage. Everyone claps when she reaches the stage.
Olympia quickly enters with her guitar. Brianna looks shocked but takes the guitar quickly. Olympia leaves. Brianna breaths in and breathes out. It’s blind auditions. The four judges have their back towards her. They’ll only turn when she think she’s good or not.

Brianna ends the song and immediately there’s a standing ovation. When Brianna goes back to the set. The smell was no longer there.

Jewel sits nervously at the piano, probably scared of being infront of so many people. She starts playing but fails. Her eyes start to well up. Lindsey quickly enters the stage. She gives Jewel a microphone and moves her from the piano. She sits and start playing.

They end with a soft note. There’s a standing ovation. Once they’re out, Jewel runs to Roxanne and Amaryllis. She hugs them. ” That was so good Jewel! You didn’t tell me you had a beautiful voice.” Roxanne fakes gasp. Jewel giggles. ” Yeah But Lindsey helped a lot. I was so nervous.” Jewel holds her chest. ” Yeah Not so the fire queen anymore.” Roxanne mocks. ” Yeah But I sing better than you!” Jewel mocks backs. Roxanne glares at her. Jewel sticks out her tongue. Amaryllis laughs.
” Hey girls!” Lindsey calls from behind Jewel. Roxanne and Amaryllis look at her. ” Thanks for picking her up for the last few days.” She thabks them sincerely. Lindsey and Jewel live with their drunkard father. So technically Lindsey is Jewel’s mum and dad. Which means she has to study and work to feed Jewel. Roxanne and Amaryllis were fond of Jewel so they volunteered in taking care of her after school.
” Forget that! d@mn girl you have an amazing voice. Why don’t you do performing arts or music?” Amaryllis asks. ” I need a real career to be able to take care of dad and Jewel.” Lindsey shrugs. ” Give it up for Leigh Anne, Acantha and Linbae!” The mc announces and all the school students quickly looked at the stage. Including Amaryllis, Roxanne and Lindsey. ” What is so important about those three?” Jewel asks curiously.
” Those three definitely can’t sing. If they perform well, I’ll give you 20 dollars cash!” Roxanne tells Jewel. ” Deal!” Jewel beams and quickly wait upon the three’s performance. Roxanne scoffs. ” I won’t hold my breath if I were you!” She smirks at Jewel.
