The city lights blurred past the window as Jeremy drove in silence, his knuckles tight on the steering wheel.
Sylvia sat curled against the seat, staring out into the night, her mind replaying Mr. Kelly’s words.
“You don’t have to stay alone tonight,” Jeremy said quietly, breaking the silence.
Sylvia turned to him. “I wasn’t planning to. Lily invited me for a girls’ night… I think I need it.”
Jeremy nodded, a faint smile tugging at his lips. “Good you deserve a vacation after all this chaos.”
When they pulled up in front of Lily’s house, the porch light was already glowing warmly. Lily opened the door the moment Sylvia stepped out, pulling her into a hug before she could even wave goodbye.
Jeremy leaned out the window. “Don’t stay up gossiping about me too much.”
Sylvia rolled her eyes but smiled. “No promises.”
Lily laughed, tugging her best friend inside. Jeremy lingered for a moment, watching the two girls disappear into the house, a rare softness in his eyes.
Then he exhaled, pulled the car into gear, and headed for Kingsley’s place.
[KINGSLEY’S HOUSE – NIGHT]
The boys lounged in Kingsley’s living room, the glow from the chandelier softening the edges of the tension still hanging between them.
Kenzie sprawled on the couch armrest, Damien sat cross-legged on the rug, and Jeremy kept his eyes low, his fingers drumming lightly against his knee.
Davis stood for a while before finally lowering himself into the seat across from him.
“You should’ve told us,” Davis said quietly, breaking the silence. His eyes held Jeremy’s. “We’re not just random guys—you know tha we’re brothers.”
Jeremy swallowed, his voice steady but tinged with regret. “I know and I wanted to inform you guys but I promised Sylvia I’d keep it between us. She didn’t want to be dragged into… everything that comes with being close to us and I couldn’t break her trust.”
The room stilled.
Davis sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. “You’re stubborn as hell, you know that? But…” He leaned forward, his tone softening. “I get it to,If she asked, you had to honor it.”
Jeremy finally looked up, relief flickering in his eyes. “I’m sorry, man. Really.”
A moment passed—then Davis cracked the corner of a smile. “Just don’t pull that disappearing-secret act on us again.”
Kenzie smirked. “Amen to that I was two seconds away from staging an intervention.”
Damien chuckled. “Intervention? Please. You’d just run your mouth until Jeremy confessed.”
Jeremy shook his head, managing a small laugh, then his face grew more serious. He leaned in, lowering his voice. “But there’s more uou guys deserve to know and Sylvia isn’t just my sister—she’s caught in things deeper than you realize.
She’s strong, but she can’t handle all of it alone and I can’t watch her back by myself anymore.”
The weight in his words drew the others in.
Davis crossed his arms. “So what are you saying?”
“I’m saying…” Jeremy met each of their eyes in turn. “If you’ve got my back, you’ve got hers too. From now on, whatever comes, we protect her together.”
Silence fell for a beat before Kenzie nodded firmly. “You don’t even have to ask.”
Damien grinned. “Count me in. She’s family now, whether she likes it or not.”
Davis gave one last look at Jeremy, then exhaled and nodded. “Fine. No more walls. We’re all in.”
From his place against the wall, Kingsley has been dialing Sylvia number but she wasn’t picking then he finally spoke, his voice calm and grounding. “Good then it’s settled no one touches Sylvia—not while this circle stands.”
The boys exchanged glances, the tension that had divided them finally gone, replaced with something heavier but stronger.
For the first time, it wasn’t just about them anymore.
It was about all of them—together.
“Lily apartment”
Few minutes later after Sylvia got to lily place Lisa joined them and they started their girls night.
Guys we have a lot to talk about tonight so let’s start,Lisa muttered.
Sylvia I’m happy for you but why didn’t you let’s us know Jeremy is your twin brother,lily muttered.
I’m sorry girls for hiding it, Sylvia muttered
Then the three girls sprawled on the floor, surrounded by chip bags and half-eaten cookies.
Lily is buzzing with excitement, Sylvia is calmly sipping a drink, and Lisa is playing with a loose thread on the rug.
Okay let’s me spill something guys I saw Jeremy today after Sylvia told him I like him, and he was actually smiling at me like, a real smile, not the polite nod he usually gives. My heart did a triple somersault and I ran to the restroom, Lily explained
Then Sylvia smiled and her phone rang but she ignored it and put it’s on silent and she checked the message from Kingsley but she didn’t reply.
Jeremy had actually noticed Lily since middle school but you didn’t know do you remember the sport day when you were cheerleading he drooled over you and I think he might ask you out anytime soon, Lisa added.
You think so? I’m just waiting for him to make the next move. He’s so good at those deep, thoughtful looks, I just… I don’t want to mess it up by being too eager,lily muttered.
You’re doing great and remember to keep being yourself, even when you’re nervous, Sylvia advised.
Guess guess what happen in school today,Lisa asked.
What happen,lily asked.
Davis ate on the same table with me and we even discussed and he seems to care about me gosh I’m crushing on him already, Lisa muttered and a small blush appeared on her face
Sylvia how was your first kiss, Lily asked and Sylvia blushed harder.
Guess it’s was passionate and I don’t think I will ever get tired of his lips like I felt different, Sylvia replied.
Wow girl you are so wild, Lily muttered.
So when are you and Kingsley going to do the do,Lisa asked.
I don’t get, Sylvia replied.
She means you both getting intimate, Lily explained.
What the fuck!!!, Sylvia gasped.
You both are unbelievable and that’s I can’t answer, Sylvia replied.
I’m actually gonna do the do after highschool with Jeremy if we end up together, Lily muttered.
Geez girl you are so naughty, Sylvia muttered.
Then they continue gisting till night fall.
Brocks highschool
Today is the last day of the second d term which is also the second to the last term for the final year student.
Every final year student were all present in the hall dressed neatly with their uniform on.
Then the school director climbed the podium.
Good morning to you all,the director greeted and the student responded.
Today is the last lecture day for these term and your three weeks break commence tomorrow but within does three weeks you all have to be preparing for the last term which is your final term I this citadel of learning.
Result for these term would be pasted on the school page.
Then the director ended his speech and the student rose up and clapped.
Different announcement were made and the gathering came to an end.
Hallway
Many students were gathered at the hallway discussing about their plan for the break.
Then the kings squad arrived together catchy everyone attention but the senior and juniors.
While the kings squad were walking down the hallway whispers grew.
“Geez they are wearing the same hoodie and same haircut”
“Damien look cute no Kenzie is more cute”
“Kingsley make me yours”
“Jeremy I love your sneakers”
“Davis I’m wet for you”
The whispers continue and from the other side of the hallway Sylvia,lily and Lisa walked in and they were wearing matching wears also and they styled their hair the same way.
Then the boys In the hallway started drooling over them and whispering
“Geez Sylvia is so hot and gorgeous”
“Lily will you be mine”
“Lisa my heart beat faster for you”
Then the whispered began to die down as the kings squad walked towards Sylvia and her friend.
Then Kingsley went to meet Sylvia and they interlock his hands with her and Jeremy did the same with Lily but Lily was feeling shy but she got rid of the shyness and they all went to the elites lounge.
Elites lounge
Everyone was already seated then Kingsley stood up.
So guys I’m officially introducing Sylvia to you all as my girlfriend, Kingsley announced.
Welcome to our amidst and feel free around us,Davis muttered while facing Sylvia.
Then the guys are welcome Sylvia then Kingsley took Sylvia to his personal space in the lounge.
Likewise Jeremy took lily, Davis took Lisa to teach her the piano.
Guess we are the only ones left here,Kenzie muttered to Damien.
I actually see the way you stare at Tiffany everytime so how are you coping after finding out her real characters, Damien asked.
I actually felt attracted to her but I have to realize I liked someone else not her, Kenzie replied.
Who did you like, Damien asked.
Nora she stays in Italy I met her the last time we all went there, Kenzie answered.
I guess everyone has sound who they liked, Damien whispered.
Then Kenzie phone vibrated and he accepts the video call with Nora and we’ll to his personal space leaving Damien alone.
Then Damien brought out his phone and started chatting with a friend he met online.
Kingsley space
Kingsley sat on the couch while Sylvia sat beside him.
Babe how about we go on our first date this weekend, Kingsley asked.
Sylvia shifted uneasily. “Kingsley…”
His brows arched. “What?”
“I don’t want to go on any date with you yet.”
The words hit like a slap. Kingsley leaned forward, his jaw tightening, eyes narrowing dangerously.
“Not yet?” His voice dropped, low and brutal. “You kissed me in front of the whole damn school, Sylvia. You let the world know I was yours. And now you’re telling me you don’t want to be seen with me? You can’t claim me halfway.”
She opened her mouth to respond, but he cut her off, his voice rising, laced with fury.
“You think I’ll keep waiting while you play scared? You think I’ll sit here, watching you second-guess us, while every guy in this school looks at you like they want what’s mine?”
Sylvia flinched, but Kingsley wasn’t done. He slammed his hand against the back of the couch, the sound echoing.
“I’m not patient, Sylvia. I don’t share and I don’t beg so either you’re with me fully—or you let me go before I lose my damn mind.”
The silence that followed was razor-sharp.
Then, slowly, Sylvia rose from her chair. Her movements were deliberate, her eyes never leaving his.
Kingsley’s breath was harsh, his chest rising and falling as if he had just finished a fight.
Without a word, she lowered herself onto his lap, straddling him.
Kingsley froze, his fury colliding with shock.
Her hands cupped his face, steady, gentle, but firm enough to anchor him. “Don’t you dare talk like that again,” she whispered, her voice trembling with both fear and defiance. “I’m not running from you. But you don’t get to scare me into love.”
His breath caught, anger giving way to raw vulnerability. His grip on her waist was tight, desperate.
Sylvia leaned closer, pressing her forehead to his. “I’m yours, Kingsley. But you’ll take me at my pace… or not at all.”
The fire in his eyes dimmed, replaced with something darker, deeper—need, surrender. He closed his eyes, exhaling shakily, his hand sliding up her back.
“You’ll kill me one day, Sylvia,” he muttered hoarsely.
She smiled faintly, brushing her lips against his temple. “Only if you keep forgetting I’m the only one who can calm your storms.”
For the first time that day Kingsley’s arms wrapped fully around her, holding her as though letting go would break him.
Jeremy space
Wow your space in nice I shouldn’t have expected less from a rich kid, Lily muttered.
Sure enough my taste in things are high, Jeremy responded.
Why did you bring me here,lily asked turning her back at him
Cuz I want to spend time alone with you, Jeremy answered casually.
What do I mean to you,lily asked.
You mean alot to me Lily I have liked you since middle school but I couldn’t get close to you until highschool, Jeremy answered and hugged her from behind.
You were my first love, I was scarced of rejection so I decided to keep it to myself but when I found out the feeling was mutual I couldn’t hold it in me any longer,lily I love you so much and I want to spend my last term in highschool with you and after highschool, Jeremy confessed his love.
Then lily faced him and then stood on her toes and pulled Jeremy closer by holding his collar.
