Lannon sat on the bed beside her and he looked directly into her eyes. He wasn’t planning on stopping her from crying. Infact, he wanted to see her cry but not for too long.”Rest Lila”he said.
She shook her head sobbing even harder “It was Rodger. He said he h@tëd you. Said you would have to give him something. I don’t know how I got out but I’m glad I did. They were brutal and they could do anything to kill”she sobbed the more and Lannon just watched he.
He was glad he could see this side of her again. Watching her cry and whimper was so cute but he didn’t want it staying for so long.
“And I think there was this man, probably the boss. He sounded so much like my father and I’m not sure but….” she looked up at him with her misty round eyes.
“But what Lila?”he asked.
“I think I’m going crazy” she blurted and Lannon was forced to chuckle.
He was expecting some kind of tense reply from her, prolly thinking she knew her father was alive but she was really so slow witted. For the past few days, he was finally able to smile genuinely.
She wiped her tears childishly”what’s funny?”she pouted
He drew closer to her and let their foreheads collide, he helped her clean her tears that still flowed, and with one breath from him that fanned her face, she closed her eyes unconciously.” I should kiss you”he whispered.
Her flowing tears literally stopped and she opened her eyes and stared into his velvet green eyes. He was smiling, but she could see the thousand emotions that flowed in his eyes. Fear, nervousness, happiness and love?
She stared at him, just to be sure, she wasn’t quite mistaking that a spark of love emotion was in his eyes.
“Lannon” she whispered, a tear slipping down her cheeks again and slowly she nodded.
His soft lips landed on her slightly parted lips immediately and he kissed her ever so tenderly, so sweet and with extreme passion. Their lips collided, their tongues tasted each other and their hands firmly held each other.
Till a tear slowly dropped on Lannon’s cheek, that he pulled out,
“Lila…..”
“I’m just so happy Lannon”she cut him off” I’m alive and I’m here with you again. I’m with my mum, with Sam. I’m happy”she cried.
He pulled her into a hug as he kissed her tears away. “You have to rest” was all he said and she nodded willingly against his shoulders.
He laid her properly on the bed after releasing from the hug, using the bed duvet to cover her properly and then he stood up to leave but she held his hand.
“Don’t go”she said.
He looked at her tiny feminine hand holding his musculine finger and he sighed and nodded assuringly as he went to take his space on the bed behind her then pulling her into a hug with his hand.
“Now sleep” he whispered in her ears and she nodded again before holding his hand on her waist firmly just to be sure he didn’t leave her when she finally slept. So, she closed her eyes and let nature sleep engulf her.

“This is me Lila”she heard that deep baritone voice, that sounded exactly like her fathers’
“Father?”she asked.”Daddy is that you?”
She looked around and they were in a dark gloomy room. She couldn’t see the person a few meters away from her clearly.
“Lila, it is me. I’m alive. I miraculously woke up”she heard the voice again.
She moved closer to the person and she asked again”Dad?”
Just as she was about taking another step, an unknown knife from behind suddenly stabbed her and she fell to the floor coughing out blood, hearing her father’s distant evil laughter.
“Arrgh!!!!!”she sprang up from the bed in fear, breathing profusely and holding her stomach were she’d been stabbed in her nightmare.
‘It was just a nightmare, not real Lila’ she soothed herself. But why was she dreaming of her dad all of a sudden? Something wasn’t right but she couldn’t tell.
She turned to her side and when she met with Lannon’s sleeping face, her troubled heart calmed and she unconsciously smiled. She admired his face, laying back on the bed and hugging him like her life depended on him. Clearly, it did.
It was still day time so she still had enough time to get more rest, so she closed her eyes again as she felt Lannon sleepily pull her closer to him. She inhaled his sweet scent before finally drifting to sleep again.
