Even though Carly can’t see the color of his eyes, she could still tell that it was beautiful just like him or should she say handsome?
She haven’t seen his face yet but from his eyes alone she could tell that he must be really good looking and before she knew it, they were moving.
Wait he was helping her cross the road.
When he was done crossing her, he released their intertwined fingers and Carly felt somehow sad.
She didn’t want him to leave her hand because his hands were so warm but she couldn’t tell him to not release her, she was not crazy.
Neither of them said a word to each other, he was looking at her and she couldn’t stand it so she had to look elsewhere at the same time, rubbing her palms nervously on themselves.
“Thank.. thank you” she managed to speak after a while.
“It’s nothing, I was about crossing too” she heard his reply and his voice sounded like nice too, it sounded as smooth as a milk tea.
“Oh, good night then” Carly repiled and he gave her a short wave then she hurriedly walked away.
He kept looking at her till she was gone then he released a sigh.
If only he can help people freely this way without being slandered.
He shook his head and began leaving too. He got to the neighborhood where he was staying and went straight to his room then took off his nose mask.
Joshua went to hit the shower first before he came out with the intent of taking his phone and ordering some food but he remembered that it was already late in the evening.
He cussed in his head and he heard his tummy grumbled.
“I guess you’ll have to wait till tomorrow champ” he tapped his flat tummy and fell on the bed.
He suddenly remembered the girl that couldn’t cross the road and he shook his head.
Earlier he decided to stroll out a bit and was coming back when he saw her acting all weird and all.
She was squeezing her face like she wanted to cry and if she puts a bit of her leg out, she’ll scream and run back.
“How can someone not cross the road?” He thought with a creased brow.

CARLY’S ROOM**
After stepping out of the bathroom, Carly applied her face cream and went straight to the kitchen to look for what to eat.
There was a raw pasta and even though it’s not safe to eat late at night, she still prefers to eat at this time because he knows that she won’t be able to eat well the next morning.
Carly made herself some pasta and began eating in her small dinning.
As she was eating, she suddenly remembered that guy that helped her cross the road and her fork remained glued in her mouth.
She blinked and slowly looked at her hands, they were starting to feel cold again and she was starting to miss the warmness of his fingers.
Carly immediately shook her head.
“How can I be thinking about someone I barely know” she muttered and hurriedly eat up her food before going to to bed.

NEXT MORNING**
Joshua woke up feeling uncomfortable because he didn’t eat last night so he decided to order for a food this morning as early as possible.
He grabbed his phone and called a near by pizza restaurant, ordering for pizza in the morning won’t really harm him.
In few minutes, his doorbell rang and he immediately jumped down from the bed, he didn’t forget to put on his nose mask as he rushed out of his room guessing that it must be the pizza guy.
He opened the door and his guess wasn’t wrong, he took his orders then signed in a fake name before tipping the guy.
The guy left and Joshua was about to close his door when he saw someone familiar came out from the room opposite his.
It was a girl and she looked like.. she looked familiar but it’s just that she was locking her door.
After looking the door, she faced her front but her eyes caught him and she turned to stare.
Their eyes met again for the second time and Joshua finally recognized her.
‘She’s that girl from yesterday who couldn’t cross the room’ he said in his head.
And Joshua was not the only one talking in his head, Carly was too.
She was surprised to see him in the room opposite her. He was the nose mask guy from yesterday but her question now is…
What was he doing here? Could it be that, he had been her new neighbor all this while? Carly thought as she kept staring at him.
