I woke up quiet late and julie was nowhere to be found next to me,at first i panicked then calm down when i catch her scent outside the chamber.
I stood up with a deep frown and walk into the bathroom, finish my business inside and get ready for the day in usual look.
I came out and met julie practicing with Quan and liam and of course dressed in one of my clothes again, she must really h@të girlie dresses.
“Good morning”the two men bow slightly while julie turn to me with a broad smile “you are finally up,i didn’t want to disturb you”she smiled and i nods.
“So; about what you said last night”she walk closer and i sighed,i really do not want to tell her about this.
Considering her stubbornness,she will definitely want to come with me and i don’t know if it’s dangerous,i mean demons are no way human so it must be dangerous.
Either way i knew she will keep pestering me until i tell her so i did and explained in details the scents and what Valdez mentioned which i don’t quiet grab.
Suddenly,she seem to realized something and gasped and i confused asked “what’s it?”she look somehow unusually serious now .
“Micheal said it was the king himself who told him you are a monster,micheal is way older than you which mean he must know something that happened which make you earned such title and also,the king never acknowledge you as his son,none of your brother here have special powers and they are not demons either “she look at me, probably trying to figure out if i get what she meant by her explanation which i truly don’t get.
“Yh…?”i raised an eyebrow “Jake,valdez said the scent of the demons left behind are your brother, don’t you get it? You are not a prince here,the king isn’t your biological father, which make sense as how he had always treated you”she said.
Yh,i was contemplating on this too but i just don’t want to believe he really h@të me because I’m not his son and that I’m really a full demon.
“You can’t change that,you are a demon,your mom is one special demon but you won’t even be able to guess who your father is”Valdez sneered and i knew he must be smirking right now.
“Who’s my dad?”i asked but he didn’t say a word “I’m tired of the human world anyway,why don’t you go looking for the heren girl then we won’t come back”he seem to be happy about this.
“And leave julie here? Huh?”i scoffed “of course not, she’s my mate, how can we leave her behind?”he quickly said.
“Your mate but we have to bring her along? I thought she’s only yours”jake teased and Valdez groan in frustration.
“I want to meet my real brothers and know my father and mother but I’m not staying in the demon realm just for your sake”Jake blocked him before he could argue with him.
“Arguing with Valdez?”Julie asked seeing the look on my face and i nodded without a word.
“So, what did he say?”she asked eagerly “not ready to say anything useful,except my mom is special and I won’t be able to guess who my dad is”i scoffed.
“Why don’t you just confront the king and ask him? He’s also strange to just come over splatting rubbish it’s not normal , he’s scared of something else and not heren”she said.
I was deep in my thoughts for few minutes then nodded “let’s visit the king before go to find heren”i suggested and she agreed.
We both went off to the main palace and straight to the throne room and met the king pacing around before his throne and all the queens are present as well.
I glance at Julie and she seemed to be thinking exactly the same thing as i am “something is fishy here”.
“Greetings….my king”i bow slightly, I’m use to calling him father but he never acknowledged me anyway and calling him a king sound pretty good but really hard to say.
He seems to be shocked by my sudden change of addressing him and i guess everyone else is as well, it’s expected,i sound really distant and cold right now.
After some minutes of awkward silence,he look at me and asked”where is she? Did you find her?”he asked and i nodded but i didn’t get the reaction i was expecting.
I had expected him to rush down anxiously and asked numerous questions of where and how i found her and when i managed to since it’s still quiet early right now.
“Where is she now?”he asked still staying suspiciously calm and collected for someone whoose life was threatened just the night before.
“The….demon world”i said and mom stood up in shock “what are you talking about,how can she be in the demon realm?”she seem rather anxious.
“Then go get her from there”the king snapped “my king!”my gasped and shouted for the first time since i know her.
“What,i won’t let this bastard put my life in danger, it’s obvious he’s wanted there,why else will he threatened my life then told me to hastened him to find heren?”he yelled furiously but immediately went quiet realizing he just blurted out a lot than expected.
“Who? Who want me in the demon realm to even threatened you??”i asked “jake ..”mom tried to say something but i refused to listen to her.
“Who?”i asked once again and he look at me “your father”he said simply but i wasn’t satisfied with that.
Yes, it’s fine to be scared of a demon and the demon even threatened you but i have been a threat myself, loosing controls time without number when i was young but he was never this scared of me even though i nearly took his life.
“Who is my father!”i couldn’t take it anymore and yelled making everyone flinched at the inhuman sound that i screamed with, only julie remain indifférent to this.
It seems valdez doesn’t know who my father is either “of course I don’t,we were born as one, if you don’t know something then how can i? But i know he’s extremely for us to our these kind of powers”he replied.
“You should be able to guess already,your father is the devil! Your title as the devil son was never made up, it’s the truth, your real father is the devil himself”he finally replied and it’s my turn to be shocked.
Guess why? All my life,my mom even though now i knew she’s not my real mom, she’s the one that took care of me,but she always make me pray in the temple against the devil,and even when i told her there’s a demon in me,she would always told me to fight against it.
But why would she want me to h@të my father? I know the devil is pure evil but telling me would have make things a lot easier and i would have known how dangerous it is to be his son.
“I’m sorry jake,i just don’t want you to think that all the things the people says about you are true”she said moving closer.
I chuckled sadly,i was prepared to know who my father is and accepted myself as a non human and as a demon but i didn’t prepare for this.
I didn’t prepare myself for the most h@tëd demon to be my father and for all those rumors, well they are no longer rumors now,i didn’t expect them to be the truth.
“Oh, it’s fine,i wasn’t expecting this but it’s ok”i said then look at the king once again “what did he want from me?”i asked.
“How would i know?”he fired back “i will be leaving the palace today but i won’t go to the demon realm either,you do not have to worry, wh@tëver the reason behind the devil wanting me to his realm can never be good but i won’t put you all in danger by waiting here for him to come again”i smiled.
Julie held my hands slightly giving me the courage not to break down in front of these people.
I teleported both of us back to my chamber and burst into laughter but i know my true feeling was hiding behind the laughter.
Julie hugged me tightly “hy, it’s fine,i know you are feeling down realizing they were right all these while,but that doesn’t define who you are jake,you are still yourself Jake, don’t let this change look about life and the world,you are not a monster just because your father is the devil”she hugged me even tighter and i sniffed back my tears.

He smirked evily but he look clearly mad at the turn of events “he won’t come? What a joke! I will have to force him then,i shouldn’t have listened to Mia and left him with those lowly human,now he thinks just like them!”he was in rage.
Fayr and his brother simply watch their father rage without interfering,they are happy that jake isn’t coming anyy,they won’t have to fight for what is theirs.
“That boy, he still do not have the mind to accept that he’s never born as a human,i guess i will have to force him here to take over before i return to rule hell again”he sais shocking the three men.
Now it was their turns to be in rage “after he declined, father still want him?? What’s so special about that boy”prad’h was furious.
He didn’t say a word to his father but in his mind he’s already planning what to do to jake “if he died then father will have no choice but to choose me”he thought.
Jake’s image appearing in his mind and he sneered with a grin plastered on his face “you three do not have anything to do again,go back to your kingdoms while awaiting your new ruler”the devil declared.
“But father,he doesn’t want to”fayr said “i know,but he’s the only one Worthy to take after me, he’s from my mate and when his true power bloom,you three will realized how powerful he is”that’s all he said and sent them off.
In his mind,his children won’t dare go against him and as an immortal, they can’t die anytime soon,they can still be the ruler but that will be after jake rules.
Prad’h and his brothers left but they all came straight to fah’n kingdom.
“I’m sick and tired of father doing this, I’m the rightful ruler, I’m the oldest here!”he banged his fist on the rock next to them.
“Let’s just kill him”fayr said as well “killing an immortal?”prad’h raised an eyebrow”all demons are immortal but yet we can kill the lower ones,all demons can be killed the same way except father…..i read that in the books i stole from his personal library”fayr quivkly clarified when he saw his brothers gases on him.
“Then that’s it,he will have to die”fah’n agreed immediately “then let’s find him immediately he left the palace”prad’h eyes were cold filled with murderous intent.

Jake and julie left the palace with his three men who are like his friends “prince, where are we going now?”shuan asked.
“I don’t really know”jake replied with a deep sigh while liam and Quan glared at shuan to not ask any question again.
They knew who he is from the beginning and they have make the promise to never leave his side and they won’t do that now .
“Let’s stay at that cottage for the night, tomorrow we will set out for MENTRUS”julie said as she sight a cottage in the forest.
They were closed to the cottage when valdez screamed from Jake’s mind and julie and the rest clearly heard him.
“It’s not a cottage! That’s a trap”but shuan was already beside the cottage about to start looking around it.
He suddenly start gasping and fell to the ground vomiting black blood ” an invisible demon pill! That’s poisonous”Valdez seems uneasy as he said this.
Jake wanted to rush to the dying shuan but he can’t move his legs “this is a trap, don’t move close to it and listen to Valdez”Julie said getting down from her horse too.
“Your demon sure know scents but too bad he got a useless fellow like you “the man came out of nowhere with his green hair shinning under the dim light of the moon.
“who are you??”Jake was alerted at once and so are his companion.
“I’m so sad, you can’t even recognize your brother”he faked crying then his gaze became sharp and cold again.
“and I’m here to kill you”he said and two more men appeared smirking.
They look alike but not identical and they’ve different hair and eyes colors.
