Cyrus finally released Liam’s hand and Harley looked at him and he looked like he had done nothing wrong.
“Emily if you were unable to read someone’s mind and all of a sudden, you were able to read it, what do you think happened?”, Harley asked curiously.
She wanted to know the reason she is able to read his mind — at least once in a while.
“Maybe because the person has stopped guiding his mind or the person has loosened up to you or the person is more comfortable and trusts you.”, She replied and Harley smiled.
Maybe Cyrus was beginning to trust her.

Cyrus just sat in his room thinking of everything…
He still couldn’t believe that the person he treated like a sister betrayed him.
He was also thinking of what Magnus had said, there is definitely a spy that is telling him everything.
But the spy can’t be Alex right?
He just sighed and turned back and saw Harley climbing his window.
His eyes just widened, what is she doing?
“Why didn’t you just walk through the door?”, He asked.
“I prefer the window and besides the guards will be asking series of questions.”, She said.
“I’m curious about something, why did you come to my room that day that I caught you?”, He asked.
“That was a terrible experience, I don’t want to remember. I was just curious about you, It was at the point I wanted to go back that you caught me.”, She explained.
“You made me stay outside in the cold on my knees, half naked.”, She said.
“You should have just avoided me like I said.”, He said and she rolled her eyes.
“You were unpredictable and secretive and those were the things that attracted me.”, She said and he just sighed.
“What do you want? Why are you here?”, He asked.
“Are you not happy to see me here?”, She asked.
“It’s not that, I’m just … I just have many things to think about.”, He said.
“You can tell me wh@tëver the problem is, I might be of help.”, She said.
Cyrus looked at her for an assurance and he saw nothing but sincerity.
This would be the first time he would want to open up to someone apart from Alex.
“There is a spy here.”, He said.
“Spy?”
“And I think it’s someone close to me.”, He said and Harley didn’t know what to say.
“How many more spies will be sent here just to destroy you?”, She said.
“Magnus knows how much I love you and I would protect you, you have to be careful. You can’t trust anyone.”, He said holding her hand.
“Nothing will happen to me, I can protect myself.”, She replied.
“We can’t date for now, I’m sorry. Everything about me is just so different and you are involved.”, He said.
“It doesn’t matter, I mean we can always go on dates without anyone knowing — you can just behave like how normal people do with the people they love.”, She said and he smiled.
“I totally agree with you when you said you are different, I mean — who hangs someone’s hand in the air just because of jealousy?”, She said.
“What are you talking about?”, He pretended.
“Liam is just a close friend of mine, infact he was my first friend in this academy so please be good to him, he doesn’t mean any harm, he has his girlfriend too.”, She said.
“I don’t know what you are talking about but if he truly has a girlfriend, then he should go and touch her.”, He said.
“And you still don’t know what am talking about? I can read your mind.”, She said and his eyes widened.
“What? Since when? You should stop invading into someone privacy.”, He said covering his chest as if his mind was an organ.
“Please be good to him, he was part of the people who comforted me after getting rejected by you.”, She said.
“I will try.”, He said.
“Let’s go on the date today in the evening, we will sneak out.”, She said and his eyes widened.
“That’s against the rules.”, He said.
“But you are the leader, you are allowed to break them.”, She said and he nodded.
“Were you always this rebellious? But you are right, I have to experience what normal people do.”, He said.
“Let’s sneak out by 6, I have a place my boyfriend and I used to go to.”, Harley said.
“Your boyfriend? It seems like you haven’t gotten over him, you keep talking about him.”, He complained.
“Well he is still my boyfriend since we aren’t dating yet.”, She replied.
“Be my girlfriend! Let’s start dating, I want to be your boyfriend.”, He said and she chuckled.
“I thought you said we can’t date yet.”, She said.
“Let’s do it secretly, I don’t like the fact that you call another person your boyfriend.”, He replied and she blushed.
“I will think about it.”, She said.
“What’s there to think about?”
“I am not an easy girl… You know, you played hard to get for a while, it’s my turn now.”, She said.
“Is that really necessary?”
“Yes cos it is a girl’s pride.”, She replied.
“What if I kiss you, will you give your answer right away?”
“It depends on how good the kiss is.”, She replied and he pulled her closer to kiss her.
