The doctor came out minutes later and Leyan ran to him
” How’s he doctor? How’s my son?”
” I’m sorry Mrs Li but we lost the child..” The doctor broke the news and Leyan immediately fell on her knees crying heavily
” Li Shu.. Ryan kept calling as tears roll down his cheek.
Remy just stood on a spot, dumbfounded and unable process the news
Everything felt like a movie to him
” It was my idea… it’s all my fault ” Ryan cried
He reached for Remy’s hands but Remy slapped his hands away
” Don’t touch me.. you killed him!! ” Remy shouted and ran away in tears
“You shouldn’t say that to your brother Remy” Xue said but Remy was out of the hospital already
” It isn’t your fault baby..” Leyan tried to hold him but he shifted back.
” Remy is right, I killed my brother..I killed him” he cried and ran out of the hospital.
Leyan just cried from where she sat on the ground
After Li Shu was buried, they relocated from their former house to another, since then Ryan wouldn’t talk to anyone including his parents
He’ll lock up himself in his room for days without food and water.. He will cry all night begging Li Shu to come back to life but he wouldn’t and that made him sad
Remy wasn’t helping matters too, using every opportunity he had to get at his brother till he ran away one night

” You Know nothing about my family. You know nothing about me” Ryan said and walked out of the class leaving Violet behind
She sighed before walking out of the empty class too
He didn’t bother to attend lesson, he walked into his hostel closing the door in a loud bang
He sat on the couch crying his eyes out.
” I didn’t mean it, I should have just listened to Remy ” he cried
” You didn’t kill me Ryan, I’m actually not happy with the way you’re treating yourself. The kid brother I had always had a smile on, always jovial and strong headed but I don’t seem to understand you.. ” he heard someone’s voice and a hand patting his back gently
He looked up at once with red eyes. ” Li Shu..?” he cried
” I haven’t been able to have a proper rest all this while because you’ve been blaming yourself Ryan, if you aren’t happy, how do you expect me to be happy?” Li Shu asked, cleaning his tears
” I didn’t for once blame you.. I knew the risk I was taking when I decided to join you in the water. I’m just happy I got to spent my last moment with you. ”
” Li Shu ” Ryan cried more
” You’ve grown well, I’m proud… Take care of yourself and don’t make mom cry, tell them I miss them all ” Li Shu said, slowly fading away
” Be yourself again and sing often okay? You and Remy should sing for me on my next death anniversary okay? Be who you wanna be.. Lishu smiled as tears left his eyes
” I’m trusting to see a new Ryan from today.. ” he added
” Li Shu.. Ryan called trying to hold him back but he already disappeared. This only made him cry more.
” Li Shu ” he cried back to reality
It was a dream!! He had slept off on his couch in the process of crying
” Li Shu ” he resumed crying once more
” I’m sorry ”
His head began to spine again and this time, it was unbearable that he lost consciousness immediately

” I wonder if he’s okay..” Violet thought
She glanced at Remy who was laughing and talking as if nothing even happened
She got angry and walked up to him
” Do you even have a conscious? How could you say such hurtful things to your brother?” She yelled
” Don’t you dare interfere..” Remy yelled back and the class immediately turned to their direction
” I don’t beat ladies, so don’t dare me if you know nothing about my family..” he yelled again
” You’re so unbelievable and heartless ” Violet said, walking out of class, she walked towards the hostel since she knew that was the only place Ryan could be
She place a knock at the door but got no reply, she twisted the knob and it opened
She walked inside and her eyes immediately fell on his unconscious body
” Ryan.. she called fearfully running to him.
She shook his body but he wouldn’t wake up neither could she carry him. She ran out the room and back to class heading straight to Remy. Her eyes were already teary.
” You can beat me later, but right now, your brother needs you” she pulled him out of class
? Did something happen?
? Today is just f*cked up
” What do you think you’re doing?” Remy yanked her hands off
” I came to tell you you might end up losing Ryan like you lost Li Shu. Don’t forget, he’s the only brother you have now” Violet said and walked back to class
” What’s she saying? ” he wondered, walking back to class but suddenly stopped when he took a few steps
He turned back and started heading to the hostel. He opened the door and met Ryan lying lifelessly on the couch and fear gripped him at once
” Ryan..” he ran to him.
” Ryan ” he shook his body but he wouldn’t respond
” you can’t leave yet you fóól.. I haven’t tormented you enough” he said as tears gathered in his eyes. He walked to the fridge and got very cold water
He emptied everything on his face and Ryan immediately suck in a large amount of air
” You fóól..” Remy said as tears left his eyes. He took his phone and called Brown to come take Ryan home.
He sat close to Ryan who was now fast asleep
” You can’t die now, I haven’t even make you suffer” he muttered, getting a blanket and covering him with it
” Hang in there, I will get mom and dad… and Remy too. We’ll save you” he heard Ryan speak from his sleep
” He has nightmares?” He wondered and immediately a knock came in
” Come in..” he said and Brown walked in
” Young master..” Brown called walking towards the sleeping Ryan
” Take him home, enough rest will do” Remy said and made leave
” When are you going to come home? I heard he became like this because of your absence..” Brown said
” Are you tired of your job?” Remy glared at him and he bent his head
” Don’t tell him I came here, if he asks just say Violet was the one with him” he said and walked out of the hostel
Minutes later, Ryan opened his eyes only to see Brown
” Young master..” Brown called and immediately Violet walked in
” Ryan..” she ran to him
” You frightened me..”
” I’ll be taking him home ” Brown said and she nodded staring at Ryan who looked very weak right now
” You mustn’t fall sick okay? You aren’t permitted to do that..” Violet warned
“You’re worried?” Ryan asked and she blinked back her tears
” I was so scared when I saw you lifeless so I had to go call on Remy, he was the one who came and.. Violet pause when Brown signal to her to stop talking but she didn’t seem to be getting it
” Is something wrong with your eyes?” She faced Brown.
” Oh, I forgot… if those bigs eyes of yours were working perfectly well, you wouldn’t have splash muddy water on me..” she rolled her eyes while Ryan chuckled softly
” What did Remy do?” He asked
” He took care of you. We had a class so if you need to copy your note, just bring them to me, I will write them” she said trying to make Ryan smile and it work, he let out a short smile at her words
Brown just shook his head thinking about what Remy said
Was he gonna loose his job?
” You need to go to the hospital..” Violet said
” I’ll be fine with enough rest…” Ryan replied as he made to stand but his headache attacked him once more
He groan silently, praying blood wouldn’t gush out this time
Brown and Violet held his hands as they pulled him up gently
” Let’s go home.. he said to Brown and Brown nodded, he tried moving a leg when his prayers fell back to Earth
He began to bleed from the nose profusely
” Ryan.. you’re bleeding..” Violet exclaimed
” Young master..” Brown called, fearfully
” I’ll be fine, I just need to shower that all. It doesn’t happen often so you both don’t need to worry..” he manage to say as he found his way to the bathroom
He washed his face as he got under the shower and the bleeding stopped immediately. The headache had gone too
He got changed and walked back to meet them in the sitting room
Violet already cleaned the blood stain on floor
” You need to go to the hospital..” she said
” I’m fine, it’s nothing serious.. and please, you should keep what you just saw a secret”
” But young master….
” No buts Brown. You can’t tell anyone!! ” he said seriously, walking of the hostel while Violet and Brown followed behind
Violet just stood staring at his direction untill he was out of sight
” I wonder what’s going on with him?” she sighed
