BECOMING A DEMON

Anna got out of the room and bursted into tears. She wailed as she walked all the way to her room.
He kissed her first and pushed her away like she was disgusting and it hurts. It hurts so much right in her heart.
She continued crying with her palms covering her face until she bumped into somebody.
“Are you okay?” The concerned voice asked and she wailed the more unable to control her tears.
“I’m not okay Leon..” She said crying. Of course it was only Leon she could trust in the house.
Leonel sighed and pulled her into his arms and then continually patted her back.
“It’s fine!” He said and she disengaged from the hug.
“Come on..” He said as he help her to her room.
“What did he do?” He asked as he made her sit on the sofa.
“Hmmn..” She said looking up at him. Her eyes were now red and puffy.
“I know it’s him!” He told her and she sighed and yet again a tear came rolling down her eye.
“He’s such a d@mn brat! A fool! Dumb fool! And I seriously h@të him!” She almost half yelled.
“How do you cope with him when he’s a pain in the neck?” She snapped at Leon who smiled.
“Axel’s has been like that from the start but he just got worse recently. You just have to bear with him” Leon explained and Anna rolled her eyes.
“I’m trying to but he’s seriously getting on my nerves, I just cannot understand or predict him. One day, he’s cold, another he acts all sweet and romantic!” She said angrily and Leon patted her back.
“Do you know you are the only one who can control him?” Leon said and she scoffed.
“As if” She muttered and he smiled.
“You are really different from the other ladies I met. You are unique and I’m probably sure that’s what Axel loves about you” Leon said with a smile and Anna scoffed again.
“Can you stop making me get my hopes up! He doesn’t like me. He liked only himself!”
“Anna..” Leonel called.
“Please stay with Axel. Don’t leave him even if it’s hard and just so you know, he’s a really good person!” He told her and she rolled her eyes again.
“A good person doesn’t kill. I will never forget he killed my parents!” She said with spite and Leonel smiled.
“Not everything you think know is correct” Leon told her.
“What? What’s that even supposed to mean?” She asked him.
“Freshen up and come downstairs for lunch. It’s past breakfast time already” Leon said and she looked at him confused the more.
“Hey, tell me more” She whined and he pinched her nose making her chuckle.
“You are too inquisitive!” He stated.
“Come downstairs for dinner!” He told her and she nodded smiling.
“Thanks. Thanks for cheering me up!”
“Axel is really lucky to have you!” She added and he nodded and walked away.
Leon walked straight into Axel’s room.
“Axel!” He called and Axel turned to him holding a glasscup of blood.
“How’s she?” He asked and Leon scoffed.
“What the hell do you think you are doing?” Leon snapped at him.
Axel said nothing but just took a sip from his drink.
“Do you even think what you are doing is funny?” Leon yelled at him but he said nothing.
“Axel, do you honestly think…”
“I can’t help it Leon. I just can’t help it!” He said and turned back to face him.
“It’s so hard to control it and you know it. I have to refrain from hurting her!” He said calmly and Leon sighed. He walked closer to him and then tapped him on the shoulder.
“It will be fine. What did you do about the witches?” He asked and Axel smirked.
“Well they were eliminated except of the princess whom I decided to keep alive and keep in the toture house!” Axel said and Leonel smiled.
“Is the place heavily guarded?” He asked and Axel scoffed.
“It’s heavily surrounded, she won’t be able to get out of there” Axel said.
“Leon, do you have a cure for witches venom?” He asked and Leonel’s eyes widened.
“They used their venom on you?!” He asked slightly alarmed.
“Don’t worry, I’m fine!” Axel said and Leon groaned.
“It could affect you deeply. Why didn’t you tell me earlier?” He asked.
“I said I’m really fine..” He said and Leon sighed.
Well he knew that Axel will not listen since he was the stubborn type and there was no use of him trying to convince him.
“Why’s Lia here?” He suddenly asked.
“She just decided to come visit us. It’s been months since she last came to visit us” Leon said and Axel nodded.
“I’ll be downstairs!” Leon said and called downstairs.

Anna freshened up and came downstairs. Her stomach was grumbling already. She walked to the dining room and she saw the Lia lady eating.
“Why’s she still here?” Anna asked herself but she shrugged and sat anyways.
“You came to eat?” Lia asked her as she chewed on the apple.
“Obviously” Anna replied trying not to roll her eyes.
“I thought you are a vampire. Vampires do you eat human food” Anna said dishing her food out.
“That’s a lie. Of course not, it’s just human food does not taste as sweet as blood would” Lia chipped in.
“Wait, are you a vampire or a werewolf?”
“Both..” Anna replied as she ate a spoon of rice.
“Oh! A hybrid. I guess…” She said.
“Maybe that why you look so plain, I mean Axel’s first mate was beautiful. A beauty goddess” Lia said clearly trying to infuriate Anna.
Anna’s grip tightened on the spoon she was holding and looked up at her.
“Really?” Anna asked with a feighed smile and Lia nodded.
“She was the most beautiful in our clan. d@mn! Axel loved her. So d@mn much!”
“That’s nice..” Anna replied as she took her eyes to her food.
“That’s why I don’t think he would be able to get over her, you know I can see the difference in the way he treats you and the way he treats her”
Anna sighed and bit her lower lip.
“Has he marked you yet?” She asked Anna.
“No..” Anna replied coldly not taking her eyes off the food.
“Woah! He should have if he doesn’t want to lose you. I guess he’s isn’t that serious about you..”
“That’s enough!” Anna cut her off.
“Huh?”
“What? I don’t understand?” Lia faked a smile.
“I don’t want to hear anything again, not about Axel nor his mate or anything!” She almost snapped at her but she restricted herself.
“But why? Are you feeling insecure?” Lia asked with a smirk and Anna laughed.
She was about to reply when Leonel’s voice suddenly came through.
“You’re done Anna?” He asked and Anna smiled at him. It was then that she noticed Axel wsd behind him.
Anna immediately took her eyes off him. She couldn’t bear to face him.
Lia stood up and walked up to Axel.
“I was just telling your wife stories about you!” She said with a bright smile but Axel said nothing.
“You have been gone for almost six months Lia and now you just show up. Where have you been?” Axel suddenly asked.
“Axel, you know how dangerous it was for us back then. Constantine captured me and tortured me before I found a way to escape. I just decided to lie low for a while” Lia explained but Axel iust gave a suspicious look.

Lia gulped hard hoping that he does not suspect her or anything. He knew Axel to be a sly person. What she says doing was dangerous but she had to do it to her her revenge. She must avenge herself from them.
Lia clenched her fists but manages to calm herself even before anybody notices.
“Axel, give her a breathing space. We all knew what she passed through. She just came here so that Constatine won’t get her!” Leon suddenly said and Lia breathed out in relief.
Axel said nothing else but slowly walked to his room. He was in no mood not to talk any longer.
