Charles and his team sat together as Jayden tell them how he plan on bringing Maxwell to thier side.
“What! That’s jailbreak, I’m totally against that!” Charles snapped.
“What do you suggest? Do you want us to politely ask him?” Jayden asked.
“Not that. There is no way he will give in, we just have to let him see through the light, let him understand that Ella is trying to pin all her crimes is on him,” Violet said, and they all nodded expect Jayden who chuckled.
“What’s funny?” Charles snapped.
“I, as a man, will rather go to jail than swallow my pride that way. What would you have done in his shoes?” Jayden asked Charles.
“His shoes won’t fit me,” Charles muttered.
“So jailbreaking and threatening him is right to you?” Violet blurted.
“We aren’t going to threaten him. Once he is out of jail, we will let him make his choice. It’s either he chose to return, or work with us,” Jayden said.
“We’ll leave it to you, Jayden,” Charles said, and they all looked at him.
“Just like that?” Violet said
“Let’s see how it goes,”
“Good,” Jayden said.
“I really don’t know how this will work,” Violet said.
“No. What you don’t know is how to work with your traitorous husband,” Jayden said, and they all looked at him.
“What’re you talking about? He can’t even see her, he will be working with Carolyn and I, not her,” Charles said.
“You heard that, so it’s going to be fine,” Jayden said, and Violet nodded.
“What’s the plan?” she managed to ask.
“We’ll go to Maxwell after I possess his body I’ll lure him to a discreet place and you will help me teleport back here,”
“Will it really work that way?” she grumbled.
“Vee, I know you don’t want this, but it’s for the best. We’ve been going in circles since with Ella a step ahead of us, but this time around we should strike her using a method she can’t predict,”
“You can do this, Vee. I’m sure you can,” Charles assured, and she and nodded.
“You can think about it. You have time to accept it, because even if he can’t see you, you can see him,” Jayden said, and she nodded.
“How come I never thought of this before?” she grumbled, and they smiled.
“Well, since we will give Vee time to think this through, I rather go enjoy my own business,” Charles said, and they all looked at him.
“What business?” Violet asked.
“My business,” he winked, before going out.
“Probably returning to his blind date,” Violet grumbled.
“What blind date?” Jayden asked.
“Not important. Just his lifestyle,” she snapped, and teleport away.
“What’s wrong with her?” Jayden grumbled.
“Jealous, I guess,” Carolyn said, and left.
“What’s wrong with her too?” he exclaimed

Charles checked through the documents Mr. Feng gave him as Mr. Feng drives off.
“Is this all?” Charles asked.
“Are you sure about this, sir?”
“Sure? I’m not sure, I’ll just give it a shot,”
“It took me a lot of effort to secure this date with Mrs. Collin,”
“You took the effort, and I spent the money,”
“I don’t understand why we have to spend billions of dollar on that bargain for you to secure a date with her. Gosh, don’t tell me you’re going after married-singles now?”
“Are you scolding me now?”
“I wish I could,” he said, and Charles chuckled.
“I’m not getting involved with her, Mr. Feng, at least if that will ease your worries,”
“So why did you spend a fortune to go on a date with the CEO of a game company? Gosh, I don’t see how this makes sense,”
“Beat me,” Charles chuckled and Mr. Feng inhaled deeply.
*
He arrived at the resort he reserved for his date with Mrs. Collin, Jayden’s wife. After Jayden shared his story, he has been thinking of a way to help him so he thought of that. He put Mr. Feng to attend a bargain auction at her company and Mrs. Collin was also put up as a bargain for a date.
“Mr. Charles Hewlett?” Mrs. Collin called when she went in.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you, Mrs. Collin, but let it end there. Just call me Charles, and let’s enjoy the date,”
“It’s not a date. It’s a business date, clearly stated during the bargain so I’d like to keep it former, Mr. Hewlett,”
“Oh, you’re the hard type. As expected from Jayden’s wife,”
“You know my husband?”
“Was his identity meant to be a secret?”
“Who are you?”
“I introduced myself earlier,”
“I don’t even know you,”
“Neither do I. Why don’t we get to know each other?”
“This is a bad date,”
“Obviously. But you will have to refund my money in threefold if you just leave now,”
“Mr. Hewlett!”
“Gosh, it’s too hot here, why don’t we go somewhere else with warm air?” he winked, and she scoffed.
*
They arrived at an amusement park and she looked around confused on the reason he brought her there.
“Why’re we here?”
“To clear our head, and have fun,” he winked, “Follow me,” he said, and she scoffed in disbelief.
They both entered the empty park and Charles insist on riding so many rides and she found herself enjoying it.
They left there later and he took her to a quiet beach.
“You really have your way of making reservations, Mr. Hewlett. But all this places are not suit for business talk,”
“I’m not a businessman, even if I’ll be, not a game designer I suppose,”
“Then all these is for what?” Mrs. Collin asked.
Jayden appeared at the place; he went to the office earlier to check on his wife but couldn’t find her, he had to possess one of her staff to find out where she was and was shocked beyond words when he heard about the date with Charles so he has been searching for Charles since then; luckily, he saw Charles car and followed him.
“Charles, what are you doing? No, stop whatever it is you’re doing right now. Stop it,” Jayden said, but Charles ignored him.
“How do you feel today, Mrs. Collin?”
“I don’t understand,”
“You feel better, relieved from work and able to relax. That’s the best way to live, Jayden would want you to live that way,” Charles said, looking at Jayden.
“Who’re you?”
“Someone who is indebted to Jayden and wants his only wish to be granted,”
“You don’t know anything,”
“I don’t have to know. But I’m aware that you’re living in guilt right now, blaming yourself for Jayden’s d£ath, working yourself this way to pay for your crimes but you’re just making him suffer. He is suffering because of you,”
“What nonsense are you spouting?!”
“I went through the same phase with my mother I yearned for her everyday and she suffered because of me. I know it’s hard to believe, but we both know that Jayden would want me to move on, he would want you to be happy,”
“You don’t understand, you’ve no reason to say all these,”
“My mother wanted the same,”
“What do you even know?”
“That it was your fault that Jayden dled, and you were blaming yourself for it. But to him, it all worth it. That’s his way of proving his love to you, his last love message to you,”
“Love?”
“He loved you and you’re aware of that, that’s why you’re suffering this way because you love him too.But your happiness should come first, because that matters most to him. We might probably not meet again after today, expect it’s a coincidental encounter but I hope you get the message,” he said, and turned to leave.
“Mr. Hewlett,” she called, and he smiled at her.
“Yes?”
“You said you’re indebted to Jayden, how?”
“Call me Charles,”
“I’m Lilian,”
“I owe Jayden a big deal, and I want to repay him back by doing this because I know how much he loved you and how much he wants you to be happy. That’s all I can say. It’s nice meeting you, Lilian,” he winked, before leaving.
He returned to his car and Jayden followed .
“Why’d you do that?” Jayden asked, his voice calm.
“That shouldn’t be what you say,”
“Why’d you do that ? Why?” Jayden shouted, grabbing his collar.
“Hey! Don’t be a violent ghost,”
“Sir, is everything alright?” Mr. Feng asked.
“I’m in a combat with a ghost that you can’t see,” Charles struggled.
“You should’ve at least tell us beforehand,” Jayden said, releasing Charles.
“I wasn’t sure it would work,”
“But it did,”
“It did?”
“Yes. Thank you Charles, you just did what I couldn’t do. I possessed thousands of people just for that but…”
“It’s fine, Jayden. Just continue helping Vee, that’s a way to repay me,”
“Vee? You really love her, don’t you?”
“Another favor, stop calling her Vee,”
“I’ll have to think about that. But I think you should worry more about Vee. She thought you went on a blind date,” Jayden winked, and teleported away.
“What blind date? Oh…” Charles grumbled, ticking his teeth.
**
Charles arrived home and was startled to see Violet in the parking lot.
“Vee, it’s not what you think,” he struggled, trying to explain himself.
“You’d well, Charles,” Violet said, and embraced him.
*
They both went inside and Jayden winked at them.
“Consider that my way of saying thanks,” Jayden whispered in his ear.
“Now we are even,” Charles chuckled.
“Charles, Vee already made up her mind. We’re going to Maxwell today,”
“Good luck,” he said, and they all smiled.
**
They found Maxwell in the detention centre and Jayden possessed him as plan heading to the restroom and Violet help him teleport to Charles house.
Jayden went to the basement, and Charles shut the door before Jayden left Maxwell’s body.
Maxwell look around in shock, and Charles waved at him.
“Hi, Maxwell,” he waved.
“Who’re you? And where is this?” he trembled, and Charles smiled before blowing him which sent him straight to the ground.
“That’s for hurting Vee, with your ugly face,” Charles said and intend to hit him again but Jayden held his hand.
“Who…” Maxwell slurred.
“It’s nice to meet you, I’m Charles Hewlett,” Charles said, and Maxwell’s eyes widened in shock.
