Melanie walked to the class and met a few students present in the class. She went to a corner and sat on a chair, resting her head on it.
“Füçk,” she squeezed her face when a terrible headache hit her.
Her face was beginning to get pale and she was already having a temperature.
“I shouldn’t have drank last night” she mumbled and stood up.
She was walking to the door when she bumped into someone. She almost fell but the person was quick to catch her.
“Are you okay, Melanie?” Kylie asked.
“I….” Melanie couldn’t finish her sentence as the pain became unbearable for her.
Kylie noticed her pale face, he placed his hand on her forehead and withdrew it quickly.
“Füçk, you’re burning up!” Kylie exclaimed.
“How did this happen? Follow me” he dragged her out of the class and Melanie followed him behind like a lost puppy.
Kylie took her to the nurse’s office and she was given some hangover drugs, she rested there afterwards.
“Are you okay now?” Kylie asked. Melanie was lying on the bed.
“Yes, thank you” Melanie smiled.
“Why did you drink last night? Did something happen at the party?” Kylie asked. Something came up and he couldn’t attend the party.
“It was cool. I only drank because I wished to, but I’m regretting it now” Melanie bit her lips.
Kylie chuckled.
“You’ll be fine, just take a rest like the Doctor suggested” he said.
He touched her forehead and released a smile when he felt it was normal
“Thank you,” Melanie suddenly said.
Kylie withdrew his hand to stare at her.
“I don’t know what would have happened if you hadn’t helped me,” she muttered.
Kylie smiled.
“I’m glad I was there. I’m Kylie by the way” he introduced.
“I’m…”
“You don’t have to tell me, I already know your name” he stood up.
“I’ll take my leave so you can have enough rest. I’ll come back to check up on you later”
Melanie nodded with a smile.
Kylie stared at her for a while before leaving the place.

A4’S SUITE***
Ace stared at his phone at intervals, expecting a message to pop in.
“Are you okay?” Aiden asked beside him.
“Yea…” Ace smiled shortly and stared at his phone again.
Axel entered the house, this time he was putting on a mask.
“Why are you putting this on? Your parents already know where you stay, so why?” Aaron asked.
Axel settled himself on a couch and removed the mask, he threw it to the chair carelessly.
“I just felt like,” he muttered.
“Is everything okay?” Aiden asked.
“Yea…”
“What are you busy staring at on your phone? Are you expecting any message or call?” Aaron asked Ace.
Axel glanced at Ace.
“Huh, yes. I’m expecting a message” Ace replied.
He suddenly stood up.
“I’m gonna go crazy at this rate” he muttered, walking to the door.
He opened it and came to face Paisley.
“Hey,” Paisley smiled.
Ace scoffed and walked past her, Paisley followed him.
“Is he okay?” Axel asked.
“You kissed his girlfriend and should I say ex?” Aaron said.
“He must have felt jealous about it. You did that on purpose, right? I mean, you won’t kiss her for nothing”
“You probably did that just to spite Ace” Aiden said.
“You’re wrong,” Axel muttered.
“Huh?” Aaron and Aiden exchanged glances.
“Then, why did you?” Aaron asked slowly.
Axel didn’t bother to reply, as he shut his eyes tight.
His mind drifted to his discussion with Melanie and he scoffed internally.
It wouldn’t have hurt if she had said those words to him, but pouring the soup he made for her was totally out of it.
“I should have just minded my business” he mumbled to himself.

“Ace, wait up, huh?” Paisley half yelled as she followed Ace behind.
Ace stopped and turned to her with a frustrating groan.
“What do you want?” He asked.
“You of course. You left yesterday without any word, I went to the restroom and returned back to find you gone. Why?” Paisley asked.
“You don’t need to know” Ace turned to leave
“Why are you suddenly acting this way? Did I do something wrong? Tell me, Ace”
“Don’t you get it? Paisley, let’s end this Füçking thing, I’m tired!” Ace yelled, turning to her in anger.
“What… You’re joking right?” Paisley stuttered.
“Does it look like I’m joking? I’m d@mn serious here, Paisley. Let’s end this”
“What the hell are you saying, Ace?! How can you suddenly break up with me?!!” Paisley shouted.
“Break up?” Ace chuckled softly.
“You thought I was dating you, is that it? Then you’re a fool, a Füçking dumbass”
“We were only Füçk buddies, Paisley. You’re nothing but my sëx partner, you clearly said it in the first place. Why claiming to be my girlfriend? You can never be, so quit the act”
“Are you being serious right now?” Paisley muttered in shock.
“You can’t do this to me, Ace”
“I can, and I’m doing it right now. Stay away from me” Ace warned and left.
Paisley stared into space, trying to register what she just heard. Tears formed in her eyes and slowly, it trickled down her cheeks.
She bit her trembling lips and ran out of the place.

INFIRMARY***
“Lanie!” Lauren screamed, seeing Melanie on the bed.
She and Julie rushed to her immediately.
“Are you okay? What happened?” Julie asked, concern clearly written on her face.
“I drank a lot more than I could take,” Melanie chuckled.
“And I told you, just look at where you landed yourself” Lauren scolded.
“Are you hurt? What did the nurse say?” She rushed.
“One question at a time, Lauren,” Melanie said with a smile.
“I was only worried,” Lauren pouts.
“So, what did the nurse say? There’s nothing wrong, right?” Julie asked.
“Yes, she gave me some drugs already. I’m fine now” Melanie smiled.
“Gosh,” Lauren breathed out in relief.
“You don’t know how worried I was when Kylie told me you were here, my heart flew to Jupiter immediately” Lauren dramatized.
“Isn’t that a bit of an exaggeration?” Melanie raised a brow.
“I’m d@mn serious here. I literally died” Lauren pouts.
“You’re crazy, Lauren” Julie laughed
“I’m serious, does it look like I’m joking?” Lauren frowned.
“Don’t ever try that again, or else I’m gonna kill you” she glared playfully.
“I won’t, Mom,” Melanie giggled.
“Good girl, don’t be stubborn, okay?” Lauren pats Melanie’s hair.
Julie laughed as she watched them.
“Right. Have you heard from Axel?” Lauren suddenly asked.
Melanie’s expression changed immediately
“Why?”
“He was the one who took you home last night, you were throwing a lot of tantrums, gosh” Lauren shook her head.
“Axel did?” Melanie asked in total surprise.
“Yea. Aren’t you aware of it?” Julie asked.
“He didn’t tell you?” Lauren asked too.
“No,” Melanie bit her lips.
“I guess he’s a nice person after all,” Lauren smiled
“You need to thank him, Lanie. If not for him, we might have slept at the club last night” Julie said.
Melanie sighed.
“I don’t want to,” she mumbled.
“Why?”
“He’s a friend to Ace, how am I sure they’re not the same? What if he’s doing that just to toy with me too? I can’t take that” Melanie said.
“Lanie, I understand that you’re hurt, but thinking every other guy will be like Ace is absolutely ridiculous” Lauren said.
“She’s right. Axel is a playboy, just like Ace. What if he’s also planning to play her?” Julie butted in.
“I don’t think so, he seems to be sincere last night” Lauren said.
“It’s okay guys, let’s just forget about it” Melanie came down from the bed.
“You aren’t gonna thank him?” Lauren asked.
Melanie ignored her and left the infirmary, Julie and Lauren went after her too.
