Kunle and Amber finished eating, he remembered that his sister was asking about her in the morning.
“Yeah, Simi was asking about you.”
“Oh, that reminds me. Where is she?” Amber asked, looking at him. “School.” He replied.
“Alright, Is she coming back? I mean will she come over here?” She asked. “Uhm! According to her, she said that. She’ll be staying with mom maybe for some days, I think so.”
“Alright, I will talk to her later.”
“Video call, please.” Kunle said and rolled his eyes, Amber looked at him surprised. “You won’t believe, what this girl did today.” He told her what Simi did, before she finally left for school. Amber couldn’t stop laughing, the way he was talking and acting at the same time.
“You’re a real clown.” She said, laughing.
He smiled—
He couldn’t stop looking at her, lemme just say that he was lost in thoughts. “Hey! Hey!” Amber called, tapping him, snapping him out his thoughts.
“What’s up?” She asked, raising her eyebrows. He shook his head, negatively. “I don’t like the way, you were staring at me.” She said.
“I can’t stop staring at you, I mean you’re so beautiful in and out. That motherFuçker must be jealous and blaming himself, for leaving you. And if I see him, close to you. I’ll kíll him.” He muttered, Amber chuckled on his last words.
“I’m serious.” He said. “Com’on, no one is taking me away from you. I’m yours.” She replied and hugged him tightly.
“I know and I won’t allow anyone to come close to you.”
Amber chuckled softly, “Even my mom? And bro? My mother in law? And my sweet sister in law?”
“No, No..I mean that guy.” He cleared her. “You’re acting like a kid, you know?”
“I don’t care, as long as I’m with my momma.” He said, referring to her as his momma. She smiled as they laid down quietly.
MONTHS LATER
It’s been five months already, Kunle and Amber decided that they won’t be expecting a child, until it’s six months. It’s remaining a month.
But the goodness is that Kim is pregnant, yes. She’s four months pregnant, and Amber always go to visit her.
Kim and Amber decided to go to the mall, since her husband Femi isn’t around, she is the only one at home. She’s bored, all thanks to Amber that always come to visit her.
A true friend.
Amber was coming out of the mall, she bumped into Julian. She apologized to her, because she doesn’t want any problems.
“Hey, can’t you see?” Julian asked, in a disrespectful manner. “I just said, sorry. Didn’t you hear me?”
“I’ve always known that you’re like that. That’s why your dad always lock you up in a dark room.”
“Julian, can you just stop this madness? This has nothing to do with my dad.”
Julian laughed, slightly. “Dad indeed.” She said in mockery tone. “Tayo is doing well, I mean he’s still that sweet person. He can’t give enough of my púßßy.”
“I wonder why you’re not pregnant yet. Barren woman.” Julian said and spit on the floor.
“What did just say?” Amber asked, weakly and shocked.
“Yes you heard me, I’m sure that young man is alright and you’re the one delaying him. Barren thing.” Julian said.
Amber didn’t respond to her, but turned to leave. When Julian called her a Bîtch, she couldn’t hold it. She turned and gave her a hard slap on her cheek. “I can tolerate, everything you said. But don’t call me a Bîtch, I’m not like you.” She grinned.
“How dare you raise your hand on me? How dare you? What gave you such audacity?”
“Don’t ever try that, in your life.” Amber caught her hand on the air, as she wanted to return the slap. Kim walked out of the car, with her baby pump.
“You know one thing with you, Julian is that. You don’t have shame, going about sleeping with people’s husband.” Kim said, Julian looked away wondering how she found out.
“Get out.” Kim said.
“Kimberly..” Julian grinned. “Get out, shameless thing.” Kim said, eyeing her as she walked to her car.
Amber sighed softly, “I love that.” Kim said, clapping. “Com’on..”
“Just she say anything? Hurtful?”
“No, it’s just her normal talk about my father.”
“Please don’t take it to heart.” Kimberly said, they walked to the car and drove off.
Julian watched them as they drove out of the mall, she became more angry as she remembered what Amber did. She still didn’t believe that, Amber would raise her hand on her. She has known her for almost six years, she hit the starring really hard and yelled loudly that some people who were heading to their car was looking at her. She showed them her middle finger and drove roughly out of the place.
Amber drop Kim off at her house and also help her with the stuff they bought. While she was leaving Kim told her not think about what Julian said to her, although she didn’t hear the other side of the conversation. Amber smiled and nodded, before leaving.

That night, Amber didn’t stop thinking about what Julian said to her, she did everything possible to let it go, but it keeps coming back to her mind. She almost burned down the house, if not that Kunle her husband was around.
He saved the situation, he also yelled at her which she apologized. But Kunle asked her to leave the kitchen and have some rest, she left and sat in the living room, her eyes were already filled up with tears. She let the thought take control of her, for the first time in their marriage, he’s yelling at her. She stood up and went to her room, she doesn’t have the appetite to eat anything, she went straight to her bed and lay on it.
“What if she’s right? What if I’m barren?”
“Kunle and I have been having séx, but I haven’t feel any sign of pregnancy yet. What if I’m the one holding him down? I need to go to the hospital tomorrow morning, I need to check myself to know if I’m okay.”
Kunle came out of the kitchen to call her and also let her know that dinner is ready. But he couldn’t find her in the living room, he rushed to his room where they normally stay, but she wasn’t there. He was almost losing it, he then remembered what happened in the kitchen, he’d yell at her. He didn’t mean to, he was only worried about her, hurting herself. He went to her room and saw her laying down, he moved closer to her and called her adding a tap. She sniffed and quickly wiped her tears. She sit up with a fake smile.
“Are you okay?” He asked.
“Yeah.” She replied. He knew that will be response, but deep down he knows that she’s not okay.
“I’m sorry about what happened in the kitchen, I shouldn’t have yelled at you. I really sorry, I’m concerned about you.”
“No…I’m good and I’m not worried about that. I’m good..” She replied with a cracked voice. “You don’t look okay.”
“I’m good, trust me.” She replied. “I do trust you.” He replied, she smiled.
“Dinner is ready.” He said, softly.
“I’m not hungry.” She quickly respond to him. He sighed softly and slowly took her hand and rubbed them.
“What’s the matter?” He asked, in a calm and sweet way. But she didn’t tell him anything.
“I’m not hungry, I don’t..ha..have the appetite to eat anything, now.” She replied.
“So? I will be the one the only one, in the dinning room. I will eat alone, while you stay here, hungry?”
She opened her mouth to say something, but end up saying nothing. “I wanna get some sleep now.” She said and lay on the bed. He was looking at her surprise this whole thing.
“So, you’re gonna sleep here?” Kunle asked, looking at her.
“Yeah.” She replied.
“What about my room? Our room?” He asked.
“I’m good, here. It’s comfortable here.” She replied.
“Really?” He asked, and rubbed his forehead, thinking of something he doesn’t know.
“Yeah.” She replied.
“Alright, good night.” He replied, and left before she could reply him. She sighed loudly.
“Kunle, I’m sorry, but I don’t know what to do again. I’m tired.” She mumbled and closed her eyes as tears dropped off.
Kunle went to the dinning room, he didn’t bother to eat the meal. He told the maids to take the food out, and told them to eat it if they want. He left. The maids didn’t mind or bother to know why their boss was like that, they were not allowed to look into other matters, but mind your business and the reason you’re here.
Kunle went to his room, he lay down quietly on the bed. Thinking of his wife and her knew behavior.
