“Say your last prayer,” Kalinda said, her hand already on Ivy’s hair
She smashed her head against the wall near them instantly
“ARGH!!” Ivy let out a painful scream, she held her head with blood oozing out
Kalinda raised her leg to her face but Ivy suddenly vanished right before her eyes, she looked around for her but she was nowhere to be found, turning around he saw Cyprus standing behind her
“Why will you do that?” she demanded, her face squeezed like she could waste a soul
“Do what?” he asked, pretending as if he didn’t know what she saying
Kalinda walked back into the room without saying a word, taking her jacket from the bed she head straight to the door, Cyprus stood on the way
“Move,” she said, a big frown on her face
“Baby come on, you don’t have to be angry over little things,” he said softly
“She hit me and now you’re blaming me?” she protested staring at his face
Cyprus roughed his hair and looked at her, he tried touching her but she shifted backward
“I will deal with her myself….”
“I don’t need you to fight for me, I can fight my battles alone, okay? Am not that weak,” Kalinda said cutting in
“My people don’t like you cos you’re human and if I let you kill her cos I know you were gonna kill her if I let you kill her the immortals will rebel, that will cost great harm to humans, even if I give them order not to rebel but there are still some immortals who won’t listen, I will deal with her myself,” Cyprus explained, reaching for her, he pulled her closer pressing her body against his own
Kalinda was silent
“She’s dead,” he muttered and she looked up at his face
“You let her go and right now you’re telling me that she’s dead,” she said making a face
Cyprus pinched her lips and she looked down
“Don’t forget that I can do many things at once,” he replied, his hands went under her blouse, he cupped her br**ts squeezing them gently
Kalinda moved away from him instantly
“Are you trying to seduce me or something?” she asked staring at him

“I came to inform you about my journey to the north,” she added going over to the door, Cyprus shifted from the door and opened it, holding the handle
“I can take you there if you want,” he said walking out with her
“Don’t worry I will find my way beside I’m not going alone,” she replied and he nodded
“I don’t like this journey but call me when you need me and I will be there,” Cyprus stopped walking and she did the same, pulling her closer he placed a soft kiss on her lip
Kalinda could hear her heart hammering against her chest as his hand played with her lips, she couldn’t deny that she loved him all these years but anger and heartbreak didn’t let her think straight, she wanted to channel her love for Hunter but no matter how she tried the love wasn’t there, her heart beat only for Cyprus, her soul calls out to him always and her mind connect with his

“It’s the boss lady,” LIssa who was the first to see her shouted happily

“You don’t always have to look scary,” she mumbled pulling his hand as they went outside
Cyprus doesn’t like noise and all the maids and guards where so afraid of him that no one wants to get on his bad side

Hunter strode down the village with his guards behind him, everyone he walked past bowed to him in respect and he didn’t even bother to return the greeting, he maintained a straight face
They took him around the village so he will number and see all the things his late father King Tyrone owned, since the queen died after their daughter Cassidy went missing no one knows of her death or how she died
He walked past a young lady, she bowed respectfully with the small basket in her hand, Hunter waved at the guard beside him and he calls the lady back
“Your highness,” she bowed again when she gets to him, her head down

CASSIDY AND JEFFERSON*
“Ma’am is Jefferson home?” Cassidy asked Elizabeth, she lowered her head as she could feel the woman’s gaze on her
“That way,” Elizabeth replied pointing at a door by the left
She walked over to the door and knocked gently on it, after a few minutes the door opened and Jefferson came to view, his face lit up immediately he saw her
“My newfound friend,” he mumbled and chuckled softly
“May I?” she asked pointing at the door
Jefferson moved away instantly
“Of course, my plum,” he replied and she looked at him
“What’s that?” she pouted, he pinched her cheeks
“You even look cuter when you frowned, awwww… look at that face,” he teased her
Cassidy laughed, she sat on the bench while Jefferson resume attending to his wounds
She stood and walked over to him, he looked at her without saying a thing, watching as she took the small napkin from him, dipping it in the bowl of water in front of them she started cleaning the surface of his cheek wound
“Am not very good but anything for my first male friend,” she said and Jefferson chuckled, he found himself staring at her as she focus on the wound she was treating, doing it gently with caution as if she didn’t want to hurt him
He continue staring at her till she looked up and their eyes met, they were so close, Cassidy gulped nothing as they continues staring at each other
Just then the door opened and Ren entered, she looked at the both of them
“Did I interrupt anything? I should get going,” she quickly shouted going out
Immediately after she left, Cassidy burst out laughing, Jefferson wasn’t left out, he laughed so hard till Ren opened the door again
“Are you two laughing at me?” Ren asked staring at both of them with a confused expression on her face
