Waylon was heading back to the room Cheng was in, when he heard the sobbing sound of someone. He furrowed his eyebrows, and traced where the sobbing sound was coming from, and he sees Tatiana squatting on the floor crying.
“Tatiana” He said rushing to where she was, and Tatiana raise her head to look at him, hiccupping in tears.
“Why are you crying Tatiana?” He asked with a worried tone, no doubt he still cares for her, more than anything in the world.
“Cheng can’t remember me Waylon. He knows nothing about me, and he asked me to stay away from him” Tatiana said crying.
Waylon sighs, not knowing what do to at the moment, he too hasn’t digest the fact that Cheng can’t remember Tatiana. Why he can’t remember her, was something Waylon couldn’t understand.
“Stop crying Tatiana, you have been crying since last night” Waylon said.
“I can’t help it Waylon. When he didn’t remember our childhood moments together, I was able to understand him, but now I don’t know what to do anymore Waylon. He promised not to forget about me, but he did, and it hurts so much, it hurts so much that I feel like dying” Tatiana said crying the more.
Waylon cleans her tears.
“Don’t ever think about dying Tatiana, a lot of people will get hurt if you do”.
Tatiana looks at him, hiccupping in tears.
“Just be patient with him, I’m sure he is going to remember you” Waylon said.
“What if he doesn’t remember me? What should I do then? He can’t even remember meeting me years ago. What if he doesn’t remember me forever?” Tatiana asked with tears, falling down her eyes.
“Don’t have negativity thinking Tatiana. Let’s just hope he remembers you. My brother cares about you a lot, and he will come back to you before you know it. Just be hopeful, alright”.
Tatiana nod her head, cleaning up the tears in her eyes.
“Thank you so much Waylon” She said and Waylon smiled at her.

⟨ MARCELLUS’S HOUSE ⟩
Marcellus walks around the compound of his house looking for Swati, but he couldn’t find her, and he was at the verge of giving up on looking for her, when he saw Jaya.
“Jaya” He said, signaling her to come to where he was standing.
Jaya dropped the water bowl she was carrying and approach him, bowing her head to him.
“Where is little witch?” He asked.
“Little witch?”
“I meant to say Swati. Where is she? I have been looking for her in every corner of the house, but I can’t find her” Marcellus said.
“Swati asked me to deliver this message to you” Jaya said.
“What message?” He asked.
“Well today happens to be the memorial ritual of late master Gu” Jaya said.
“Master Gu? Who is he?”
“He is the first master who raised Swati and also the one who found her in the woods when she was a baby. She wanted to tell you, but you were sleeping soundly. But don’t worry Marcellus, she will be back before you know it” Jaya said.
“Alright” Marcellus said. He turns to leave, but he halt his feet and looked at Jaya.
“Did she by any chance tell you where Master Gu’s house is?” Marcellus asked, hoping Swati told Jaya where the late Master Gu house is.
“Yes she did. And even if she didn’t tell me, I know where the late master Gu lives. He was a popular merchant when he was still alive” Jaya said.
“Where is this Master Gu’s house?”

⟨ THE LATE MASTER GU’S HOUSE ⟩
Swati lights a candle near the late master Gu’s portrait and she bowed three times to the portrait before letting out a sad smile.
“Is being 15 years since you died Master Gu, but it still feels like it was yesterday. I want to thank you for taking care of me, and loving me like I was your own daughter. You will always be the best master to me, and don’t worry about your princess, because I grew up to be very beautiful, and very loyal to my masters” Swati said smiling.
“Really? You? Loyal to your masters?” Someone asked from behind her.
Swati furrowed her eyebrows and looked behind her, to see the person that spoke, and she saw Marcellus waving at her, with some fruits tied together in a bunch in his left hand.
“What are you doing here?” She asked.
Marcellus smiles and completely approach her, he placed the bunch of fruits in the table near Master Gu’s portrait and knelt beside Swati and bowed to the portrait three times.
Swati only looked at him, blinking her eyes, wondering why he was performing master Gu’s memorial rituals with her.
“Master Gu, I might not know you, but I want to thank you for raising this little witch when she was abandoned by her family. She indeed grew up into a beautiful maiden, just like you have wanted her to, but being loyal to her masters, that’s Zero over 100”
“Are you here to bad-mouth me? I’m always loyal to my masters” Swati defend herself.
“Master Gu, did you know this little witch bamboozled 65 coins from me, by claiming a house which wasn’t hers?”.
“Are you still holding on to that? I thought you have longed forgotten about it?”.
“Yes I have. I just want to tell Master Gu that you grew up knowing how to bamboozle people, at least he is going to know what kind of a person who grew up to become” Marcellus said.
“I’m not a hoaxer, you’re the first and last person I have conned”.
“Really?”
“Yes, and I only hoaxed you to pay off Master Gu’s debt” Swati said.
“To pay for his master Gu’s debt?”
Swati sighs sadly and said. “I didn’t want master Gu to have a bad name even after his death, so I worked my whole life trying to pay off his debt. I was looking for a means to pay off the 65 coins he cadged, and then you showed up, I felt it was the heavens that brought you to me. I know it was wrong to have bamboozled you, but that was the only way to pay for Master Gu’s debt, and I am sorry” Swati said.
Marcellus looks at her and smiled lightly. “Is fine Swati, now I understand why you did that. Besides 65 coins is nothing to me”.
“Really? It’s nothing to you, and you chased me around Maelstrom”.
“That’s because I was so angry that I was hoaxed. You are so small and yet you were so good at running”.
“That’s what I live for” She said fluttering her hair.
“Or maybe is because you are a witch” He said, and they both laugh.
“Master Gu, your little witch is in save hands, and I promise to take care of her like a good master will take care of his servant. She might be a little hard-headed, but she is kind of funny and a little bit lively, and that is why I am going put up with her” Marcellus said.
Swati looked at Marcellus with a smiling face.
