With Pierce and Jocelyn gone, Joanna limp all the way to the front door where Francis was still standing starring down at her.
“If you knew you were going to strain your leg, you should have stayed at home” he said looking angry and before she could give a reply, he went into the house while she followed suit.
She was heading to her room when he walk out of the kitchen with the first aid box.
“Get over here, let me check on your injury” he said moving to the sitting room.
“I will do it myself” Joanna replied feeling angry at him too.
She was almost at her door when he got to her and lifted her into his arms back to the chair, where he set her down roughly on it.
“What is your problem? Why are angry and taking out your anger on me!” She said as he sat beside her on the sofa.
Not bothering to give a reply, he pulled off her shoe and took hold of her foot where he began to cleanse it.
He was almost done when he finally spoke.
“Cause you stupidly went on that date knowing the state you were in”
“Stupid! How can you call it that when you know how long have been waiting for this and it’s also the reason why you agreed to help me” she said pulling her leg away from him.
“Some thing I regret doing ” Francis added as he began to return the stuffs into the kit.
“You regret it! Fine then,I don’t need your help anymore, you can shove it down your throat” she said getting off her seat.
“Don’t worry cause I don’t intend to help you win Pierce heart anymore” Francis said behind her and she turn to glare at him.
“Why? Because you and Jocelyn are now a thing? Do you even have a conscience, she’s the girl Pierce is supposedly in love with and you brought her here, having a date with her ” Joanna said feeling very angry.
“Why should I be bothered when Pierce did the same?” Francis asked.
“And what’s that suppose to mean?”the confused Joanna asked not getting what he meant.
“Forget it, let’s both just mind out business from now on. Good night!” He said going to his room and slowly she went to her room.

∆ NEXT DAY ∆
Mirabel was working her shift in the Library and wanting to keep some books in it’s shelf, she stood on the little ladder which is always in the library.
She succeeded in putting the books back in place but then, she lost her footing which got her falling.
She let out a yelp and was falling backwards when she felt an arm around her, holding onto her and preventing her from falling.
She opened her eyes and found Nicholas starring down at her.
“Saved by your Prince” he said smiling down at her and Mirabel couldn’t help but to notice how handsome he is.
Clearing her throat to get rid of her thoughts, she got out of his arms.
“Thanks” she said putting some distance between her.
“Why are you here? It isn’t the time for the library to open” she said.
“I know but I came to speak to you” Nicholas said.
“About what?”
“Am planning a trip and the more we are the merrier it will be but I don’t think Joanna would want to come, so try to persuade her” he said.
“And what makes you think I would want to come as well?” She asked.
“Cause am going to be there” Nicholas said moving towards her.
“And what does your having to be there have to do with me?” Mirabel asked.
“Cause you and I are going to be an item soon” Nicholas said.
“You must be crazy right?” Mirabel asked.
“Yea, maybe I am but all I know is that you are going to date me and so it’s only right that you come with us on this trip and also bring Joanna along” Nicholas said.
“You can forget about us going on this trip and….” She stopped talking when he bent and kiss her on the lips, startling her into silence.
“You are much better this way ” Nicholas said caressing her lips with his fingers.
“And also Pierce is also going, don’t you want your friend to win the heart of the guy she loves? Think about that and come to the airport tomorrow by twelve” Nicholas said smiling down at her before leaving the library.
A while later Mirabel still stood there wondering why her heart was racing wildly.

∆ THE NEXT DAY ∆
“Why are we at the airport?” Joanna asked as she and Mirabel got out of the taxi wearing their bag pack which had all of their essentials in it.
“We will be taking the plane for out trip” Mirabel said.
“Does the student council have enough money to book a flight for each of us” Joanna asked.
“Err…truth is the trip we are going to is not a school trip but a leisure trip” Mirabel admitted slowly.
“Don’t tell me it’s Nicholas trip?” Joanna asked and Mirabel nodded.
“Theo asked me about it and I refused,If I had known this is it then I wouldn’t have come” Joanna said.
“I didn’t mean to lie to you, I just wanted you to come and to be sincere, you’ve been down. You need to brighten up and have fun a little bit” Mirabel said shaking Joanna arms.
Truth be told the reason she refused going on the trip is so she wouldn’t get to see Francis.
It’s been two days after their row and they’ve both been ignoring each other though Joanna wanted the whole thing to end since she h@tës their current situation but Francis action made it clear to her that he didn’t want to talk to her.
“Common, Nicholas just texted me where they are, let’s go” Mirabel said pulling her into the room.
After doing the necessary procedure, she and Mirabel got to where Nicholas, Theo and Jocelyn were waiting for them.
“I thought you lost your way?” Nicholas said.
“We aren’t kids” Mirabel said in return rolling her eyes at Nicholas.
The reason she agreed on coming on the trip is to know her feelings towards him,She had to know why her heart did that weird thing and she needs to know why she was also affected by the kiss they both shared.
“Am so glad you could make it” Jocelyn said moving towards them to link her arm in both their arms.
“Are you?” Mirabel asked starring at her doubtfully.
“Of course, it’s gonna be fun with all of us together right? ” Jocelyn asked starring at Theo and Nicholas who nodded in reply.
They were led into the jet and Joanna who thought Francis and the other hadn’t arrived was surprised to see him in the plane with his head set on and his eyes closed.
Beside him sat Evelyn who gave her a smirk before resting her head on Francis shoulder and on the second row was Pierce and two other girls who were surely Evelyn friends.
Pierce smiled at her, acknowledging her presence and she return the smile and made her way to a seat at the back where she and Mirabel settled in.
Jocelyn on the other hand sat in front of them with Theo and Nicholas and soon their plane was off.
“Feeling nervous!” Mirabel asked beside Joanna when she noticed how she clutch the handle of the chair.
“Am not” Joanna whispered back knowing full well that it’s a lie.
This is her first time on a plane and some how it got her feeling scared, her gaze went to Pierce who was busy with his cell phone and she let out a sigh.
Every one seem to be doing their thing well except for her who felt scared.
“I will be back, have got to use the rest room” Mirabel said.
“What?” Don’t leave me! Joanna added the last part from within but Mirabel was already off.
She took a deep breath and stare out of the window which was a wrong move, seeing how up they were in the sky got her feeling more scared.
Shutting her eyes and praying that they will get to their destination soon, she suddenly felt someone seating by her side.
Thinking it was Mirabel, she open her eyes with a smile on her face only to see Francis there.
He still had his head set on and his eyes was shut meaning that he had nothing to say to her.
She looked up to see Mirabel coming and Mirabel who had noticed Francis in her seat smiled in understanding before taking the seat beside Evelyn who was glaring at Joanna along with Jocelyn.
Joanna felt uneasy having Francis beside her and at the same time she also felt safe that he’s also by her side.
“Don’t get the wrong idea, I only came to relax here and I suggest you do the same” he said suddenly with his eyes still closed.
Some how his words got her feeling relaxed and all through their flight to the Caribbean, Joanna didn’t feel scared again.
