The following morning, Cheng kept his finger in his mouth, with lots of worries in his face, as the palace physician checked on Tatiana.
She has waken up ever since she fainted last night, and it got him worried. He tried waking her up with his powers, but it didn’t work on her.
He found it strange that his powers didn’t work on her like it used to, and having no other choice, he had to call the palace physician to check on Tatiana.
“How is she doing?” Cheng asked, after the physician was done checking on Tatiana.
“What happened to her?” The physician asked, and Cheng takes in his lips, how was he going to tell the man standing in front of him that he Füçked his bride to her unconscious state.
He tried controlling himself last night, but he couldn’t, and seeing Tatiana in this state hurts him a lot.
“Well I… Is a long story, but will she be fine?” Cheng asked.
“I don’t see anything wrong with her Prince Cheng, so I am sure she’s going to wake up soon” The physician said, and Cheng let out a sigh of relief.
“Thanks for your help”
“Can I go now?” The physician asked and Cheng nodded his head.
The physician slightly bowed to him and leaves, while Cheng sits closed to Tatiana, caressing her hand softly.
She looked fragile right now, and her lips were kind of dried, and her eyes weren’t giving any signs of opening.
“I am sorry Tiana, I’m so sorry” Cheng said feeling guilty for putting Tatiana in such a state.
“Please wake up soon, I might go crazy if you don’t. Please wake up Tiana, and I promise never to touch you again till I die” He said crying.
His heart was no doubt in so much pain. If he knew Tatiana will be in such a state, he won’t have had s*x with her.
He enjoyed his first night with Tatiana, but his bride didn’t.
He tried using his powers to wake her up again, but it’s wasn’t working, instead, his dark magic fades away the moment it gets to Tatiana.
“What’s going on Tiana, why can’t I heal you like I used to?” He asked sniffing back his tears.
A knock came on the door, Cheng cleaned the tears in his eyes before walking to the door.
He opened it, and sees a bodyguard and he could see the bodyguard trembling in fear.
“Why did you knock at my door if you will be scared of seeing me?” Cheng asked.
“Well… The king wishes to see you” The bodyguard said.
“Why?”
“I don’t know Prince Cheng, I am just delivering his orders”
“Alright, leave” Cheng said, and the bodyguard quickly left, he even stumbled on something as a result of his fears.
Cheng looked at the bodyguard and sighed.
“Until when will all this end? It hurts sometimes that people are afraid of me when I am just a human like them”
He went back to Tatiana, and she was still laying unconscious on the bed.
“I will be right back Tiana” He said and kissed her forehead before leaving the room.
After Cheng left, Tatiana’s body glowed white, and something like a tiny creature entered her body.

⟨ THE KING’S CHAMBER ⟩
“You sent for me” Cheng said when he entered the king’s room.
King Osvaldo smiled at him and said. “Yes I did”
“Why? Do you need anything?” Cheng asked.
“I just want us to talk” King Osvaldo said.
“Talk about what?” Cheng asked.
“Random things, let’s just take a walk around the palace, and talk more like a father and son. I have done the same with Waylon and Thiago, Jai is still a kid, so let’s be more like a father and son” He said smiling.
“I am not used to taking a walk with people and talking about random stuff that are not important” Cheng said.
“I just want to spend time with you Cheng” King Osvaldo said.
“Sorry but I am not in the mood to talk to anyone other than Tiana, I will take my leave now” He said and turns to leave.
“I am happy your demon aren’t controlling you to destroy or hurt people Cheng, and I don’t regret giving birth to you” King Osvaldo said.
Cheng smiled lightly and leaves.

⟨ JAI’S STUDY ROOM ⟩
“Please scholar Marcellus, take me out of the palace” Jai begged him.
Today happens to be the auspicious day he promised Anisha that he was going to give her books that talks about the stars.
“You aren’t allowed to leave the palace Prince Jai, I don’t want to get into trouble that I won’t be able to free myself from” Marcellus said arranging some books in the shelves.
“But you took me out of the palace some days ago”
“That’s the more reason I don’t want to risk taking you out of the palace Prince Jai, because the last time I did, I looked for you”
“I promised is never going to happen again, you can follow me around if you want to” Jai said.
“Why are you so desperate to leave the palace?” Marcellus asked looking at him.
“Because I don’t want her to think I don’t keep to my words, her friend already thinks I am proud, I don’t want her to believe what Kenji says about me”
“So you want to go leave the palace, just to see a girl?”
“Don’t summarize the whole storyline in a wrong way scholar Marcellus. She loves knowing about the stars just like I do, and since she can’t afford buying a book from the bibliotheca, she steals it, I want her to stop stealing all in the name of wanting to read books” Jai said.
“And?”
“I promised to bring her some of the past books I have read about stars, and today happens to be the auspicious day I promise to give it to her. I am sure she will be waiting for me, I don’t want to let her down. Kenji and Anisha are the first people I met who are exactly the same age with me, and I don’t want them to think bad of me” Jai said puckering.
Marcellus sighed.
“Where are you going to meet these friends of yours?”
“At the bibliotheca. Will you take me there?” Jai asked smiling.
“I might change my mind if you don’t get ready quickly” Marcellus said.
“Right on it” He said and quickly leaves the study room.
