Episode 19
An hour later, the newest couple came downstairs, dressed to go out.
“Care for a cup of tea?” Jocelyn asked as they walked towards the hallway.
“No. We should just get going. We are gonna have lunch at my regular restaurant later in the day.” Eddie replied.
“Okay.” Jocelyn replied and smiled.

Rihanna and Zoe were on full duty that morning with other nurses as they went about their normal routine.
The hospital was busy as usual and everyone else was busy except Rihanna who sat behind the counter in the reception, thinking.
She was lost in thought and didn’t know when her co nurses joined her.
“Rihanna? Rihanna!” Zoe called louder, pushing her arm.
“Ouch” Rihanna groused, snapping out of her thoughts.
“Are you okay? You’ve not gone to see the patients doctor Patrick assigned to you.” Sara said, dropping a file on the desk.
Rihanna rolled her eyes. She was about saying something when Eddie and Jocelyn stepped out of the elevator.
She stared at them as they approached, feeling so furious. She tried concealing it but couldn’t. It was so obvious she was angry.
“Doctor Eddie is here.” Zoe whispered and pretended to be busy.
Sara and two other nurses quickly dispersed but Rihanna sat there, moping like a lost zombie.
“Nurse Rihanna, right!” Jocelyn said happily as soon as they got close enough.
“Good morning doc. Hi Jocelyn. You are looking all better now!” Zoe quickly said to cover up the awkward moment since Rihanna refused to utter a word.
She only stared.
Eddie looked at Rihanna. “Non even a good morning.” He said, putting a hand on the desk in front of her.
Rihanna quickie smiled. “Forgive my manners Eddie! I was carried away by your charisma and cuteness as usual! Good morning!” Rihanna said cheerfully.
Jocelyn smiled hesitantly and stared at Rihanna. “Nice to meet you again. Thanks for taking care of me when I was sick.”
Rihanna smiled stiffly. “You are welcome!” She almost snapped.
Eddie and Jocelyn left for his office while Rihanna stared on. She felt like screaming.
“Rihanna…..take it easy! Your eyes are bulging!” Zoe whispered.
Rihanna gasped sharply. She couldn’t believe Eddie could treat her this way. “He is seeing her, Zoe. I think they are going out now. God….why is life so unfair? It should have been me. No….I can’t take this!” Rihanna rasped and shook her head.
“You can’t do anything about it. You can’t.”
Rihanna looked at Zoe and Laughed. “I can’t do anything about it? What the hell do you mean by that? Of course I can do something about it and that would be to take back what’s rightfully mine!” Rihanna said into Zoe’s face angrily before walking off.

Eddie sat on his chair, rocking it slowly while Jocelyn sat across from him, still admiring the office. “This is my second time here. You’ve got a great taste.” She complemented.
Eddie winked and said nothing. He only continued looking at her.
Jocelyn noticed he was staring longer than necessary and looked back at him. “What?” She asked with a shrug.
“Just….. grateful that you came into my life, angel. So grateful.”
Jocelyn stared seriously at him and nodded. “Same here with me. I’m grateful I met you too. I’ve never felt this happy in my whole life.”
“Come here.” Eddie whispered and raised his arms as Jocelyn stood up and ran into them.
They giggled as they rubbed their nose together. Suddenly, the door opened and Rihanna walked in.
Eddie stared at her, perplexed. “Rihanna…..what happened to knocking?”
Rihanna placed a palm over her mouth. ” Oops….. sorry Eddie. Must have forgotten.”
Jocelyn stayed put on Eddie’s laps as she looked at Rihanna.
She could feel it that something was not right with her. She practically ignored her greetings a while ago.
“What do you need?” Eddie asked as Rihanna approached them.
Rihanna smiled and looked at Jocelyn. She was furious to see her sitting comfortably on Eddie’s laps. “Oh Jocelyn….. don’t you think Eddie’s laps will be hurting? You are hippy you know?” She asked with a stiff smile.
Jocelyn smiled back. “It’s okay. Eddie is strong enough to carry all of me.”
“Oh.”
Eddie was staring at Rihanna. He was beginning to see reasons why she was acting up. “Rihanna…..what do you need?” He asked again.
“You are needed for an emergency at ward 9.” Rihanna replied and turned without waiting for an answer. She left the room after glaring back at Jocelyn.
“Is she okay?” Jocelyn asked after some minutes of silent.
Eddie sighed and rubbed his forehead with his thumb. “I think she’s having a bad day. Don’t mind her.”
Jocelyn smiled. “It’s fine. I guess she’s really having a bad day because she was so nice when I was sick. She really took care of me.”
“Yeah. I know. Rihanna is the most caring nurse here.” Eddie stated. “Will you be okay alone? I need to rush to the emergency ward.”
Jocelyn stood up and nodded. “I will be fine. You have to rush now.”
Eddie pecked her head before leaving the room.
Jocelyn inhaled happily and twirled around. She moved about the office, feeding her eyes with Eddie’s portraits. “Wow. So cute.” She whispered softly as she stared at them.
Few minutes later, she decided to go to the reception and see the nurses. She left the office and found her way to reception.

Rihanna was busy with her laptop when she saw Jocelyn approaching. She scoffed and looked at Zoe. “Talk of the devil.” She hissed out the words.
Zoe rolled her eyes. “Don’t he rude to her.” She whispered back.
“Hi guys. Nice to meet you again.” Jocelyn said as she got to them.
While Zoe smiled and greeted back, Rihanna rolled her eyes and focused on her work.
Jocelyn frowned slightly. “Rihanna….are you okay?”
“What? Does it look like I’m not okay?” Rihanna retorted, leaving Jocelyn startled.
“What’s wrong with you Rihanna? I thought we talked about this!” Zoe whispered angrily.
“Oh please! It’s high time we tell this thief that she’s crossing her boundaries!” Rihanna bursted and Jocelyn’s eyes widened with shock.
