DEFENDING HER
Could it be that he’s missing her? But he can’t be missing her right? But what comes with the feeling? What way can he explain it when he wants to see her? Or could it be that he’s missing her cooking or he’s hungry?
He couldn’t get all the answers to his questions and he sighed, roughing his hair.
But he knew what he was feeling was different from the thoughts that crashed on each other in his head.
He directed his eyes to the window and looked away. He went to the bed and sat down.
Is she okay? Why didn’t she open her window like she always does?
“What are you thinking Shane?” He said and closed his eyes, falling on the bed.
<RONA’S ROOM>
Rona’s legs were crossed as she sat on the bed, she was looking at her window and the urge to open her window kept hitting her head but she kept resisting the urge.
She doesn’t want him to start seeing her as a clingy person.
Right now she wants to see his face badly, she can’t understand the feelings growing up in her heart but she loves it.
Everything about him is amazing and fascinating to her. She is so much drawn to him and she can’t explain the philosophy behind it.
Her bottom lip was in her mouth as she kept glancing at her window.
“Is he okay? What if he’s hungry?”.
Her mind went to the girl who was with him and she became sad.
What if she is truly his girlfriend but the other time they talked, he said girls are useless. He can’t be dating her right?
But why does the statement hurt her so much?
Maybe she’s thinking so much. She laid on the bed and covered herself up before closing her eyes, but his face was still lingering in her thought.
She opened her eyes under the sheets and smiled.
“Why can’t I stop thinking about him??” She muttered.
<NEXT DAY>
Rona opened her eyes immediately the sunlight penetrated through her window and hit her face.
She groaned as she sat up in bed, she took her hands to her eyes and started rubbing.
She yawned soundly and gasped suddenly.
“I woke up late, what if he leaves?” She said, and quickly came down from the bed.
She ran out of the room and headed to the living room, she opened the door and went outside.
She looked at Shane’s apartment and sighed when she saw his car still there.
That means he is still at home.
“I know what to do, I need to be fast before he leaves” She said and ran back into the house.
<JONATHAN’S PLACE>
Jonathan walked out of his room and an appetizing aroma hit his nose.
“Where is that coming from?” He asked and suddenly heard a noise in the kitchen.
He made his way to the kitchen and was surprised to see Spider cooking.
She was singing while making the food. She felt a presence behind her and she turned.
She smiled when she set her eyes on him.
“Sweetheart” She called cheerfully, and he frowned.
“I’m Jonathan” He replied.
“I know, it feels better calling you Sweetheart than Jonathan” She said and he shook his head.
He can’t argue with her right? It will be useless anyway.
“How do you know there’s a kitchen here? And do you know..
“Forgetting what happened yesterday?” She interrupted and he looked at her.
“Oh!! Surprising that you can’t cook”.
“I’m a Bîtch but I still know a lot about kitchen stuff, you might chop off your hands if you have a taste of my food” She said and he scoffed.
“Bragging huh?” He questioned.
“Bîtches don’t brag” She winked and he laughed.
“Mad girl”.
“Mad boy” She said and they laughed together.
“I love your tattoos” He said and she smiled.
“Really?” She asked and he nodded.
“Wow!! Sweet heart love my tattoos, should I get more of them?” She said and he laughed.
“You are crazy, you got a hot body though” He winked and walked out.
“He just said that? My body is hot, flirting with me right?” She mumbled.
<SHANE’S PLACE>
Shane came out of his room and started walking towards the door.
He wasn’t dressed in his suit this time, he wore a shirt and a corporate jean with sneakers but he was fire, kinkily, gorgeous and cute as usual.
His car’s keys were on his fingers as he got to the door.
He opened the door and surprise appeared on his face as he saw Rona on the door.
“Rona” He called and she smiled.
“Are you surprised to see me?” She asked.
“Silly thing, come in” He said and moved away from the door.
He may not show it but he was glad to see her.

Shane took the food warmer from before she could land, taking her by surprise.
“Thank you, what do you cook?” He asked.
“Open it and see for yourself” She replied.
He opened the lid of the food warmer and his nose was welcomed by the salacious smell of the hot spaghetti.
“Wow!! I was craving this” He said before realizing.
“Really?” She asked happily.
“Yes, get me a spoon” He replied and sat down.
Rona ran to the kitchen and came back with a spoon. She gave him the fork and settled down opposite him.
He started eating immediately.
He wanted to ask her why she didn’t come to his house again but he decided to ignore the question.
“You’re going for a lecture?” She asked, watching him eat. To her he was so cute and sëxy.
Rona!!!!.
“Yes” He replied and she pouted.
“Wanna follow me?” he asked and she looked at him.
“Can I?”
“Isn’t that what you want?” He glanced at her.
“How did you know?”.
“I know you were going to ask” He replied and he smiled.
“I will go change, You are a good person, you are so nice and cute” She said and ran out of the house.
“She’s got a big mouth” He muttered and resumed eating.
<JONATHAN’S PLACE>
Spider placed two plates of rice on the table and drew out a chair, sitting down.
She looked at Jonathan whose eyes were on the computers.
“What is he doing?” She wondered, still staring at him.
He was typing so fast and his fingers danced crazily on the keyboard.
“Mad boy” She called and he looked up, he looked back.
“What’s up mad girl?” He asked.
“Let’s eat” She replied, and he stood.
He walked to the table and pulled out a chair, sitting down. He smiled and took a spoon. Spider was waiting for him to taste the food and give his remark.
Jonathan tasted the first spoon and made a sour face.
“What’s this? Is this your best? I can’t believe this” He said and she swallowed.
Did he just condemn her food?
What???.
She frowned and he looked at her, they held eyes and he started laughing.
“What?” She snapped.
He ignored the question and tasted another spoon.
“F*ck this is delicious” He said and started eating fast.
“What!! Are you serious now?”.
“I was only teasing you, were you taking me seriously?” He replied and she smacked his head.
“Ouch!! My head cost a fortune” He said and she rolled eyes, she started eating too.
“Are you leaving today?” He asked as they ate.
“You want me to leave?”.
“Just asking, you are a gang member right?”.
“I’m only letting my presence known to Luke, I’m not staying in the empire” She replied and brought her face closer.
“What??”.
“I wanna stay here with you, I like crazy people and your lips, can I kiss your lips?” She asked, smirking on his face.
Jonathan pushed her head back with a finger and she fell back on the chair.
“You might R@PE me some day, crazy girl” He said giggling, and she joined in the laughter.
<SHANE’S PLACE>
Shane was already waiting beside his car when Rona came out of the house and rushed to him.
He turned to her and he smirked inwardly when he saw his jacket on her and the bracelet on her wrist. In short she was pretty.
But why does she always wear long sleeves and gowns?
“I’m done, can we go?” She asked, smiling prettily.
“You’re excited” He said, looking at her.
“I’m going to watch you teach, shouldn’t I be happy? It’s a privilege to be a handsome lecturer’s friend” She replied dramatically.
“We are friends?” He asked and she took her lips in. Was she too forward in saying that? Why do she always f*ck up?
“I thought we were, I’m sorry..
“You always behave like a baby, how old are you?”.
“I’m 19” She replied.
“A little girl” He said and she frowned.
“I’m a full adult, I’m not a little girl” She pouted cutely.
“Let’s go” He said and entered the car.
He looked out and saw her still standing there.
“Are you not coming in again?” He asked and she mouthed an OH before entering the car.
She smiled at him and he drove out.

Rona was clamping her lips tightly as she walked beside Shane.
The students kept talking thrash about her and their words were beginning to affect her. she wasn’t needed in the school right? They’re right. She’s dirty.
“Are you okay?” Shane turned to her.
“I’m fine” She replied with a light nod.
“Don’t let their words get to you, you are special” He said and she looked at him, a smile appearing on her thin lips. It feels good hearing him say that about her.
Shane looked up and his stern and cold eyes met with the students, some of them stopped talking immediately, shaking with fear.
“Say a word about her again and you will regret it” He said coldly and the students gasped.
