“Xavier…th..think about this man” Patrick’s heartbeat thudded
Xavier glared at him and lowered his hand and turned to the guards
“Look at me” he thundered and they raised their heads
He looked at them in the eye one by one boring his eyes into theirs,his eyes landed on the last guard
He avoided his gaze and looked elsewhere with a raised head
“Look at me!” he walked up to him and held his collar “Tell me the truth,nothing but the truth” he gritted his teeth
“I…I don’t know what you’re talking about sir!” he choked
“The eyes Chico,they never lie” he let go of him and knocked him out with the back of his gun and everyone gasped
“You! Clean up this mess” he pointed at a guard “Leave! All of you” he lifted the unconscious guard and threw him over his shoulder and went to the basement with Patrick trailing behind him

WAREHOUSE
Sierra’s voice cracked as she sang horribly and Matthew laughed at her
Sierra was about to open another bottle of beer but Matthew snatched it
“No more alcohol for you” he said sternly
“Hey! that’s mine” she pouted and tried to take it but he held it up high
“You won’t get—” she cut him off by standing up and reached for it
Matthew pulled her on him and she lost her balance and crashed on him,she felt heavy on him that he fell on his back
Sierra chuckled and snatched the beer and tried to stand up but he pulled her back
“Stop moving you’re sitting right on my d_1ck” he groaned as his manhood hardened
“Why shouldn’t I?” she whined her waist teasingly and he hissed
“Fuçk it Sierra” he m*aned and pulled her closer and crashed his lips on her
She was stunned for a moment before reciprocating in the same slow pace
They pulled away after a while to catch their breath and Sierra got off him
Matthew stared at her without a word and stood up too
“Sierra listen…—”
“Shhh…D..Don’t ruin the moment” She hiccuped and stared into his lustful eyes
“Come with me” he muttered and pulled her to his room

AT THE HOSPITAL
Xavier placed the bag of clothes gently on the bench and tapped Nanny Diana gently
“Nanny,wake up” he whispered and she stirred up
“Dear, what’s going on?” she rubbed her eyes
“You should go home” he said and helped her stand up “You’re going to catch a cold”
“Okay child” She nodded and left
Xavier took a deep breath and walked towards Catherine’s ward,he paused for a moment before holding the door knob and pushed the door open
The sight of Catherine laying on the hospital bed was heartbreaking that he swallowed hard
He closed the door and walked towards her slowly and sat on the chair next to her
“Mi amor” he muttered and took hold of her pale hand and kissed it “I’m sorry for not being there for you, I’m so sorry I shouldn’t have left you” he looked at her “But I promise I’m going to find who did this” he said with so much determination laced in his voice
Xavier laid his head on the bed and closed his eyes till he slept off

XAVIER’S HOUSE
Patrick opened his can of an energy drink and walked into the basement,he sat on one of the boxes just in front of the guard bleeding badly and tied to a chair
“My friend, I’m not going to do this with you all night, it’s either you tell me straight up or I force or we might as well leave everything in Xavier’s hands and you know how he is” Patrick shrugged and sipped his drink
“I swear,I …I know nothing.. Please” the guard begged
“Tell me” he placed the can on top of the box next to him “What did you see or who sent you?” he asked rather calmly
“Nobody sir! I …I was just doing my job that day and nothing else” he cried
“You and i know that Xavier won’t spare you if you ag that card on him,so do yourself a favour and spit it out” his eyes darkened “I would love to decorate your face because I nearly got killed because of you” he leaned closer “But I’ll leave it to him”
“I don’t know him …” the guard said “He..he told me he wanted to surprise boss lady,I didn’t know he wanted to harm her I swear!” he raised his voice and hissed in pain “I thought he meant no harm so I let him in and he came out in a hurry ,thrown some money on Mr saying that he needs to rush somewhere…That.. that’s all I know” he looked at Patrick
“Who is he? His name? Description” Patrick stared at him
“I don’t know his name but I do know him,he is….”

XUAN MANSION
IN THE MORNING
Sofie cat walked downstairs with her protruding baby bump with a smile on her face
“Good morning everyone” she greeted joyfully and everyone present stared at her weirdly
“Yay you look happy” Millicent said sarcastically and rolled her eyes making Abigail chuckle
“Of course sister in law,it’s my engagement party today and my wedding tomorrow,why wouldn’t I be happy?” she gave Millicent a fake smile
“I’m just glad everything is coming to an end and finally you’re doing the right thing son” Grandpa Paul said to Anderson who was just picking on his food
“Does that mean wh@tëver is happening between you and your brother will come to an end?” Grandma Daisy looked at him
“Mother,let them sort it out on their own” Mr Xuan looked at her
“Dad, you’re still letting us hold the engagement party here right?” Sofie looked at Mr Xuan with puppy eyes and he nodded slowly
“Now I don’t want to hear about that woman ever in this house,she tore this family apart” Grandpa Paul said and stabbed into his steak
Mrs Xuan suddenly pushed away her plate and stood up gaining everyone’s attention
“What’s going on dear?” Grandma Daisy asked in confusion
“I lost my appetite mother,I just can’t stand the fact that nobody sees nothing wrong with what Anderson has done,all of you keep pointing fingers at my daughter in law but what about what your golden son Anderson has done” she pointed out and hissed and walked away
“I’ll talk to her” Mr Xuan whispered and followed her
“She’s right,how do you feel about impregnating your ex wife’s best friend and on top of that—”
Anderson suddenly stood up interrupting Grandma Daisy and said nothing and left
“When will we have peace in this house!” Grandpa Paul groaned and threw his napkin on the table

AT THE HOSPITAL
The sound of pages flipping woke Xavier from his sleep and he rubbed his sleepy eyes and looked around
He was still sitting next to Catherine’s bed and a doctor was silently going through her file
“Ohh Mr Xuan you’re awake” the doctor smiled at him
He nodded and looked at Catherine and his face fell when he realised that she hasn’t moved an inch nor has she woken up
The doctor saw the distress on his face and smiled
“Don’t worry, everything is fine.She just needs some rest but she might wake up anytime from now, I’ll excuse you two” he said and left
“Mi amor” he rubbed Catherine’s hand that no longer seemed pale
“Xavier” Catherine mumbled in her sleep and he jumped up and came closer to her
“Mi amor! I’m here open your eyes” he stared at her worriedly
Catherine opened her eyes slowly and looked around to capture her surroundings until her eyes landed on Xavier
“Xavier” she sobbed
“Mi amor, you’re awake” he chuckled with teary eyes and kissed her deeply and stared at her “You scared me so much!” he groaned and she giggled
“Xavier? I—”
“Wait here I need to call the doctor” he let go of her and rushed out
Catherine smiled softly and her smile plastered off when she recalled what happened before she passed out
She looked down at her tummy and rubbed it through the fabric of the hospital gown
“Mommy is sorry little one, I’m sorry for not protecting you as I should, I’m sorry for not being careful enough,I don’t want to lose you..I would die if that happens” she sniffed in and wiped her tears “But it’s going to be okay”
“Good morning Mrs Xuan, I’m doctor Sebastian,I see you’re awake” the doctor walked in followed by Xavier
“Good morning” she muttered
“I just need to do few check ups on you to make sure everything is okay” he smiled and she nodded
Xavier leaned against the door and watched as the doctor did the check-up
“Now let’s hear the heartbeat” he brought the scanner closer and opened her gown just on her tummy and applied gel on it
“Come closer” Catherine said to Xavier and he walked towards them and stood on the other side
“Here we go” the doctor said and placed the device on her tummy and circled it around her tummy and a foetus appreared on the scanner and they heard a heartbeat
“Wow, it’s incredible isn’t it?” Catherine smiled widely and her eyes welled with tears
Xavier stayed glued to the screen,the sound was incredible that his eyes too welled with tears and a smile carved on his face
“Do you want to know the gender?” The doctor looked at them both
“No!”
“Yes!”
They answered at the same time and looked at each other
“I think we shouldn’t,When our child arrives we’ll see,but I badly want it to be a boy,so that he protects you when I’m not around” he muttered softly to Catherine
“Xavier…”
“It’s going to be okay” he pecked her forehead gently
