“You?” She asked but the man maintained a grim look

So-hee wiggled out of his grip and fixed her glasses properly, she looked around and stomped when she saw that the man she was chasing was now out of sight

She stomped and cussed in anger, ignoring the man who saved her

“I would advise you to pay attention to where you’re going next time” The man said gaining her attention, she looked back at him.

She’d never seen him before nor did she find his voice familiar. She sighed, “Gomawo( Thank you)” She said and walked away

Almost at the verge of tears, she slowly made way to God knows where

She was worried about how she would face Rhett. He was really banking on her to complete those reports and every Fůçƙing thing in it was about their project.

So who would be so interested in common files. Still thinking, her eyes suddenly went wide in realization

She gasped, “Ling Fest”

Oh no…

She held her chest and sat on a bench by the sidewalk, she suddenly started sobbing

The man who had stopped her from jumping in front a truck, watched her from afar. He sighed and took out his phone, dialing a number

“Check the CCTV footage of the address I texted you and find out who that man was, make sure to retrieve what was stolen” He ordered immediately it was picked

He sighed, scoffing lowly, if not for the fact that his boss asked him to watch both ladies, he wouldn’t be here chasing after a local criminal.

He was getting paid anyway so wh@tëver…

He glanced at her for the last time before walking away

*[ MELODY HIGH ]*

It was a new week, the students as usual were chattering about in the hallways while others just stuck to their phones.

Yu-ri arrived school on her bicycle, unlike some students she wasn’t ashamed using her bike, in fact she was a star with it. She parked the bike and took off her helmet placing it on the handle

That’s where she usually parked it, no one would steal it.

After she was done she walked into the building, boldly as usual. Some of the students who saw her were elated hoping to get more action from her. They’d enjoyed the fight that led to her hitting Mr Cha, at least he was also absent for a while

She opened her locker and picked out her spare headphones and put it on before starting to take out books

“Yu-ri!!” Jack and Blake squealed as they saw her, they just got to school. They started running towards her with wide smiles

Yu-ri glared at them and they stopped in their tracks, bringing down their arms dejectedly

“Yu-ri you have no idea how much I missed you… I missed you so much” Blake said and Yu-ri stared plainly at him

“I didn’t miss you” She said and Jack chuckled, “You missed me didn’t you?”

“God forbid” She eyed him and he gasped

Blake started laughing. After she finished grabbing her books, she led the way to their first class

When they got there, Yu-ri saw an unfamiliar face, the girl sat down quietly on a seat. She was pretty too

“Who’s she?” She asked

“Oh that’s Jeon Juni, she joined Melody the next day after your suspension” Blake replied as they sat down. He and Jack occupied the seat in front of Yu-ri

“She’s really pretty… I think I have a crush on her” Jack said dreamily touching his chest and Yu-ri chuckled

“I’ll advise you to crush your weight first before it crushes her” She teased and he stood up scanning himself

“I’m not fat” He said

“You’re just space consuming” Blake said and stuck hands with Yu-ri laughing.

Soon the teacher entered the class with someone behind him. Yu-ri gasped, it was her new neighbor. The class became noisy as they complimented his hot looks

“Woah, what’s he doing here?” Jack asked her

“He’s here to eat. Can’t you see he’s a new student? Argh, why are you so dumb?” She hit his head and he pouted before facing the front

“Good morning class. Ah Kim Yu-ri, you’re back! I hope you learnt anger control during those two weeks” The teacher pointed at her and she scoffed. Moon’s eyes met with hers, he sighed and cleared his throat loud enough for the teacher to hear

“Yes, here’s your new classmate, Liam Moon, be nice to him okay? Moon sit beside Yu-ri” The teacher ordered and he grumpily went to sit beside her

“Moon… moooo… N!” She giggled and he scoffed, not only is she his neighbor but also his seatmate?

Life isn’t being fair to him

“Hey don’t you speak? Are you mute?” She threw questions at him, he exhaled, clenching his jaws

” I h@të people who talk too much” He said and stood up going to sit beside Juni

“And I like people who are called Moon” Yu-ri chuckled softly

” Hi” Juni smiled at him, he looked at her for a while before smiling too, “Hi”

Yu-ri saw them and chuckled, “Moon sounds like mooooo”

She then looked around, “Where’s that bonehead Alisa?” She whispered to her hearing

*[ SHINE ]**

So-hee entered the workspace on the editor’s floor, her face was puffy from all the crying. She was late but luckily everyone was quite occupied to notice.

She moved in further and gasped when she saw In-su being photographed by Felix, turns out she agreed to work with them

The others were there too, Vivian and Ella were working on the clothing and make-up while Clement and Hana worked on the lighting

Lucy had her interview questions with her while Soo-min worked on other things in her laptop

Choosing In-su as the face of their new edition was a good move from Rhett since she had less or no scandals at all in the industry, everyone loves and adores her.

So-hee moved to Rhett’s office and opened the door but he wasn’t there. She went back to her desk and sat down placing her head on the table.

“Someone snatched it from me”

“I didn’t expect it…”

She kept mumbling, she was practicing what to say to Rhett when he reached. She had no doubts that he’d be very furious when he found out

“So-hee” Lucy called and she raised her head, she stood up and went to where she stood

Lucy creased her brows as she saw how swollen her face was, “What’s wrong So-hee, are you sick?” She asked worriedly

“No… nothing” So-hee said in a stutter and Lucy shook her head not believing her

” You’re lying” She insisted and So-hee bit her lip sharply, “Tell me, did anyone trouble you on your way?”

She opened her mouth to speak but was interrupted by Vivian, “Lucy, it’s time for the interview” Vivian called out

Lucy nodded and faced So-hee, “Would you mind taking the interview with me?”

So-hee’s eyes widened, the chief editor was asking her to interview supermodel In-su along with her?

She was stunned and Lucy laughed at her shocked expression

“This will boost your confidence when you’re to interview others in the future. Don’t worry, I’m here” She assured and just when So-hee wanted to agree Rhett entered the office.

So-hee’s excited face of earlier was replaced by a gloomy one, “Lucy, she’s left with just few minutes here” Vivian reminded

“I’ll do it next time” So-hee forced a smile at Lucy

“Okay. Take care of yourself” Lucy said and walked to the platform with her recording device for the interview

So-hee quickly rushed to Rhett’s office, without knocking she entered. He was sitter on his chair looking hot as usual but his whole concentration was on the box in front of him, he was going through it, searchingly.

So-hee gulped, “H..Hey Boss”

Rhett looked up and an unknowing smile formed on his lips, her presence makes him happy. But his smile soon left his lips when he noticed how gloomy she looked

He moved away from his desk till he stood in front of her

“Why did you cry?” He asked and touched her face

“I..I came to tell you about the report” She stuttered and he nodded, the report was important but he didn’t expect she’d be so eager to give it to him

“You cried because of the report?” He teased with a sly smirk, he saw her holding nothing and was forced to ask,

“So where’s the file?”

“I lost it” She spoke quickly

“What?!” He yelled and she nodded then explained how it was snatched from her and almost getting hit by a truck

Rhett ran his hand through his hair angrily as he paced about the office. So-hee bit her lips fiddling nervously with the hem of her shirt, she couldn’t help but wonder if he was going to fire her

“I…I’m sorry sir. I should’ve been more careful” She said in a tiny voice

“Gosh!” He sighed and headed to the door, So-hee bent her head dejectedly, he was really angry and she knew it

“You’re not hurt right?” He asked and she nodded negatively. He then left her sulking in his office

Rhett stormed into the conference room in the finance department, he ignored all the greetings from the employees and sat down on his chair

He sighed, regretting instantly the way he reacted, that must’ve scared her. besides she wasn’t at fault, he knew but it didn’t stop the anger in him but this time it was directed at something else

Ling Fest…That shameless company

He shut his eyes and breathed heavily before opening them again

“Start the discussion already!” He snapped at the lady who stood idly drooling at him

“Oh..Yes boss” She stuttered and began talking

*[ A RESTAURANT ]**

The restaurant is located near the airport, it’s mostly crowded with the workers from there and people who have late flights.

It’s currently crowded with just few spaces left.

Min-ji entered the restaurant and headed to the table Ace had told her to meet. They’ve been talking for the past few days over the phone, she found it strange how he got her number but he’d convinced her saying he had his ways.

That didn’t matter to her tho, she loved talking to him… flirting rather

Min-ji got to the table and sat down but stood up when she saw the man wearing a facemask

“Oh I’m sorry…” She apologized and he chuckled then filled it off.

“It’s me” Ace said and she mumbled an OH before sitting down

“Why are you putting that on?” She asked and he chuckled, she really doesn’t know who he is

Which surprises him cos almost everyone in Korea and beyond knows who he is. They know the name Ace Heather

He doesn’t blame her tho, the nature of her job isn’t one that will let her.

“Just felt like wearing it” He smiled and she nodded

“Well that’s creepy…I’m so hungry” She pouted and picked the menu

“You’re always hungry aren’t you? Remember the first time we met?” He asked and she laughed recalling how she made him buy her food at a fancy restaurant, then drove her to the Kim’s

“That was epic” She smiled and looked into the menu. Ace kept his menu aside and leaned back on the chair, staring at her intensely totally smitten by her beauty.

Min-ji finally decided on what to order, she lifted her head and caught him staring

“Why are you looking at me like that?” She asked shyly

“You’re beautiful” He blurted before he could stop himself and she blushed tucking a short strand of her hair behind her ear

“Um thanks…” She smiled and waved at the waiter. She ordered for the both of them since he decided to take what she was having too

Soon their orders arrived and they started eating while chatting about random things

Meanwhile, Harriet and Ho-Seok decided to have lunch before her flight to Hong Kong. They entered the crowded room and settled for the table behind Ace and Min-ji’s unknowingly.

Harriet was the first one to see Min-ji, she scoffed and tapped Ho-Seok

“Baby, look at that tramp that annoyed me last time” She said in disgust

Ho-Seok looked at where she was showing him and gasped when he saw Min-ji. He suddenly felt guilty, and then jealous when he saw she was with a man

“Just forget about it” He said to her and she moved closer to him then started laughing hysterically like he said something funny which confused him for a moment but he played along since that would get his ex fiancee’s attention

Min-ji heard a familiar voice and looked up only to meet Ho-Seok’s gaze. She lost appetite instantly and lowered her chopsticks. She scrunched up her face as she watched them K!SS and laugh shamelessly. She didn’t feel anything for him again but wanted to know why he ditched her few days to their wedding

“I want everything on the menu. My boyfriend is a billionaire you know” Harriet lied blatantly and stylishly glared at Min-ji. Ho-Seok just smirked

Ace saw that she zoned out so he dropped his chopsticks too and looked back to see what was going on. He frowned when he saw how Ho-Seok was staring at her and it seemed like they had history together which irked him more

“Such a cute couple you are” He said, drawing attention to himself

“Ace Heather?” Both Harriet and Ho-Seok chorused and he smirked. Everyone in the restaurant were awed too

“My girlfriend and I also love each other so much” He faced Min-ji, “Right Sugarplum?”

“Girlfriend?”
“Sugarplum?” Ho-Seok and Harriet gasped in unison

Min-ji was also stunned, but Ace held her hand and smiled sweetly at her

“Right, he’s my Bluebell” She smiled back and Ho-Seok almost fainted

Harriet’s mouth was wide open that she started drooling

“You might want to shut your mouth miss, it’s that season for flies” Min-ji smiled and Harriet closed her mouth embarrassingly

“You’re also a billionaire right?” Ace pressed further holding Ho-Seok’s gaze, he knew Ho-Seok wasn’t close to being one but he still wanted to tease him anyway

“I’ll be right back” He briskly walked out and Harriet followed

Ace faced Min-ji with a smile, “You fine now?”

“Yes Bluebell” She giggled and he chuckled before letting go of her hand

LATER THAT DAY

“Ma’am we got the file and it turned out to be classified information from her workplace” Clein informed Eun-Hae through a call

“Don’t get involved in work rivalry Clein, just make sure the girls are safe and keep informing me about their lives. Place the file in their mail box” Eun-Hae replied

Clein hummed and ended the call before glaring at the man on the floor, he was badly beaten up. He was the same man who stole the file from So-hee earlier, he was caught before he could even give the file to Harold

“Who are you working for?” Clein asked

“L..Ling Fest” The man whimpered and folded his hands pleadingly

“No wonder people dislike their magazines. Such copy cats,” Clein frowned and left him there

So-hee sighed for the umpteenth time as she looked at Rhett’s cabin, ever since he left angrily, he hasn’t returned

She placed the copies of what she photocopied on Ella’s desk before going to help Soo-min arrange the clothes they used for In-su earlier. The interview was a success, after that, In-su hugged all of them promising more projects with them in the future

She couldn’t be more happier but she felt uneasy, was Rhett still angry?

And where on earth was he?

“Gosh, have we spoken today?” Felix said behind her and she smiled shortly

“Nope, you’ve been quite busy” She said and he pouted standing in front of her.

“I want coffee”

So-hee scoffed, “Go make it yourself”

Felix gasped and picked her up throwing her over his shoulder, then headed out of the office

“Hey, didn’t you see I was busy?” She whined hitting him and he chuckled

” For every blow, you’ll be paying 20¥. So let’s see how many times you hit me?” He said and she stopped

“I was just massaging your stiff muscles…I wouldn’t dare hit you” She grinned as he dropped her in front of the coffee maker

He didn’t want to laugh but he laughed anyway

“Go on” He showed her the maker and she started brewing while he watched her observing every single detail of her face

“Bunny, why are you upset?” He suddenly asked, he could make out from her face

“I’m not” She denied

“You’re lying bunny, tell me already, aren’t we friends?” He persisted and she sighed

“I slept late last night so I felt sleepy this morning on my way to the bus stop” She poured the coffee in a cup

” And?” Felix wasn’t convinced

“Almost got crushed by a car…okay it was a truck” She said keeping all other details a secret

” What?!” He froze

” But I’m fine now” She smiled and pointed the cup at him, “Coffee” He collected it and kept it aside before engulfing her in a big hug

“Why are you so stupid huh? You should pay more attention to yourself fool” He stated worriedly and she smiled, feeling glad that he cares so much for her

” I thought I was bunny” She whined and he smirked

“You’re a fool too” He said and she giggled

Rhett got out of the elevator, looking tired, he just got back from a book launch in town. Turning to the direction of the office, his heart stopped beating when he saw So-hee and Felix hugging

Blood rushed to his brain sharply igniting all the anger in him. His plans to apologise to her just fled from his mind

Without saying a word he used the elevator and left the place.
