They all looked in shock and people started
gathering around.

Jemimah didn’t know what to do, she stand
there like a mannequin. She looked at Lucy and
Alex, she couldn’t bring an answer.
“Umm Ellis, what are you doing?” Jemimah
asked him.
“I love you Jemimah, have been thinking about
it you lately. I decided to bring up the courage to
tell you this”. Ellis said.
“But.. you.. you will have to give me some time
to think about it”. Jemimah said.
“Sure, you have all days. But please don’t break
my heart”. Ellis said and Jemimah looked at
him.
Jemimah and Alex left the scene, Jemimah
board a cab home. Alex insisted on taking her
home but she refused.

Jemimah open the door of the mansion, she
looked so lost that she didn’t notice Jackson
sitting down.
“I told you to come early didn’t I”. Jackson said
but Jemimah didn’t respond.
“Am talking to you, can’t you hear me”. Jackson
repeated.
But Jemimah didn’t respond, she just stood on
her spot looking so lost. Jackson moved close
to her and looked at her.
“Jemimah!” Jackson shouted.
“What huh, aren’t you tired of inconveniencing
me? I always do wh@tëver you tell me even
though am satisfied with it. Do you think you
can always boss me around, I work you and you
gave my money, didn’t I. Am tired and fed up of
your behaviors”. Jemimah fired back at him.
Jackson just stood there in awe, he couldn’t
believe his eyes.
“What’s wrong, why.. why are you…” Mrs
Maxwell said as soon as she came in to the
sitting room. Mr Maxwell and Alice too was
present.
“You should ask your son why he’s so cold and
rude Mrs Maxwell. Tell me, haven’t I tried
enough. I wake up early every morning and take
care of all of you especially you Jackson. He
doesn’t have any right…”
“Is it because of Ellis that you dare to speak to
me in that manner”. Jackson said looking
straight into her eyes.
“Ellis?” Jemimah said.
“I know everything, he proposed to you right?
Answer me now”. He yelled.
“Yes, he did. So what, I can do wh@tëver I like
with anybody. It doesn’t concern you. Infact, am
accepting his proposal tomorrow”. Jemimah
said with evidence of anger in her face.
“Really, then get ready to leave my house”.
Jackson said. Jemimah just glared at him, she
couldn’t believe he could say that.
“After all my dedication to this house? I will
leave I hope you will stop being a jackass then”.
Jemimah said.
“What”. Jackson said.
“Listen children, we can settle this amicably.
You don’t have to fight please”. Mr Maxwell
said.
“Brother, Jemimah Please don’t fight please”.
Alice pleaded almost crying.
“No Alice, you don’t have to beg. I hope one day
you will find a person who will be able to calm
you down”. Jemimah said and she went to her
room to pack her belongings.
“Brother please stop her”. Alice pleaded.
“I don’t care”. He said and went to his room too.
Jemimah came down with her luggage packed,
she was sad that she have to leave the house
but she has no choice.
“My dear, please stay. I will talk to him”. Mrs
Maxwell said.
“Yes please stay”. Alice said.
“No am sorry”. Jemimah said and Walk out of
the house.
✓ Nearby restaurant ~ Lucy’s place✓
Alex called Lucy that he wants to see her. She
came to meet him in a nearby restaurant.
“Why did you call me Alex”. Lucy said.
“I.. umm… want to say something to you
actually”. Alex said.
“Uhn, what’s it”. Lucy said looking worried.
“It’s actually like a confession”. Alex said. He
have been having a hard time because he had
been thinking about her lately.
He consulted someone about it and the person
told him that it is love. He decided confront it
and confess his feelings.
“What confession?” Lucy asked.
“Lucy, I have been having this weird feelings
and I consulted someone and the person told
me it’s Love”. Alex said.
“So who’s the lucky girl”. Lucy asked smiling.
“Umm.. YOU”. Alex said.
“Uhn, who’s You”. Lucy said.
“Lucy Queen, I love you Lucy a lot”. Alex said
and Lucy glared in surprise.
“What, me how?” Lucy said.
“I don’t know but you have been on my mind
lately. It’s Love Lucy, please. Am sorry I have to
say it this way”. Alex said.
“Umm, can you give me some times to think
about it”. Lucy said.
“It’s okay, love you”. Alex said.
Lucy just smiled and she went out of the
restaurant, she was still thinking about it.

Alice was actually avoiding Adam since the
time Olivia had told her about her meeting with
Adam. But Luck wasn’t on her side, she collided
with Adam.
“Alice, I have to say something”. Adam said
while holding her.
“Listen, people are watching, Olivia might come
here anytime”. Alice said.
