EPISODE THIRTEEN (13)
She brought her face towards mine for a kiss
while on our way to bedroom. I wanted to
practice what I see in movies.
Instead of me to drop her on the bed, I threw her,
She landed on the bed and hit her head on the
wall.
She went motionless immediately. The dragon
sword just deactivated it’s self immediately.
I was in a confused state I didn’t know what to
do. Cynthia wasn’t home, nobody to help me
take her to the hospital.
Blo*od started to gush out from the wound on
her head. I remembered how they do it in
movies by tying cloths on wounds to reduce the
flow of blo*od.
I took my polo shirt, tore it and tied it around her
head I rushed outside and called a bike man he
help me carried her to the hospital.
The bike man was very considerate he didn’t
even collect money for the service he rendered.
She was rushed into the emergency ward by the
nurses.
I waited and prayed that nothing happens to
her. I was still waiting outside the ward when a
very pretty looking Doctor came out.
She was so dark her melanin skin was popping.
She braided her hair, had this simple look and
was putting on medicated glasses. She was on
an lab coat so I wasn’t able to access if she
endowed or not.
I approached her and asked,
“doctor please how is she doing’
she replied and asked,
“she’s getting better it wasn’t a serious injury
thank God she was rushed early. Who are you to
the patient”
I replied,
“she is my sister”
She asked again,
” what really happened to her were you guys in a
fight”
I reasoned what to tell the pretty doctor because
I can’t tell her that we wanted to loot and things
went the wrong way.
I just told her that she slipped and fall. The
doctor said we should be careful next time.
I asked her,
” doctor can I see her?”
she replied,
“yes you can see hr. Meet me in my office to
collect the list of medication you will need to
buy for her”
I thanked the doctor and walked in to check on
Linda.Her head was wrapped with bandage. She
saw me, hugged me and said,
” thank God you are here what happened? how
did I got here?”
I replied,
“just relax I will explain to you later”
I left her, went to the doctor’s office to get the
list of her medication.
I knocked and I was welcomed into the office.
She handed me the prescription slip and told me
to go and get the drugs from the pharmacy.
On my way out she asked,
“are you sure she is your sister”
I smiled and asked,
“why are you asking”
she replied,
“nothing just wanted to know, because I didn’t
see any resemblance between the both of you”
I replied,
“well actually she is my friend but also like a
sister to me”
The doctor gave me a side look and said,
“so you sister zoned her men will not change”
I just laughed and said,
“it’s complicated but maybe when next I see
you I will explain”
she asked,
“where will you see me again or are you
planning on injuring your sister again just to
come back?”
I smiled and replied,
“well I guess I have to collect your number then
Dr. Prisca” (I saw her name on her lab coat)
I collected her number and called her right away
because Nigerian girls have these habit of
giving out wrong numbers.
It ranged and I saved her contact. On my way
out she asked,
“What should I save your contact with? What is
your name?”
I answered,
“My name is Mammanchi but friends call me
Hardguy. You can also save it with wh@tëver
you choose”
I got to the pharmacy and bought the drugs they
were mainly antibiotics and analgesics (pain
ki*llers)
I paid for all the bills amounting to 10k. I carried
Linda back to my house.
Cynthia was already home preparing dinner. Cat
fish pepper soup.
She asked why Linda was having bandage on
her head. I explained what happened to her. She
just laughed and said,
” Hardguy this is God telling you to repent and
focus on your school mom who truly loves you”
I angrily replied,
” what’s up with you and that girl. if she sent
you to me it’s not going to work. See who is
telling me to repent black calling charcoal
black”
I went into my room and met Linda. We decided
to watch a movie prior to when food will be
ready. I had to changed the bedsheet because
the other one was stained with Linda’s blo*od.
While watching the movie Linda started to
romantically touch me. I asked her what she
wants and she said,
” Hardy let’s finish what we have started”
I looked at her in disgust and left the room(you
that nearly di*ed)
After dinner Linda took a cab back home.
I avoided Cynthia throughout that night because
the girl behaved like a psycho sometimes. She
will use the Linda stuff to look for my tro*uble.
School resumed and 400L wasn’t interesting at
all. It was from this research work to the other.
Our HOD planned an excursion for the whole
department I was part of the planning
committee. It was an excursion to a game
reserve. Everything was well planned for the
excursion.
