Gavin gritted as the cops went ahead to Ariel
and handcuffed her.
“Hey be careful, she is my girlfriend” he warned
and the cops paused.
“We are sorry sir” they said.
“I will have to go to the station with you to
prove you all wrong” he said as he walk in and
come out with a hoodie.
Ariel couldn’t get her tongue as she watch
everything speechlessly.
What can she say?, she actually stabbed a lot
of people today, not knowing if any will survive
and to worst it all, her best friend is among.
“Take off the handcuff, I want to hold her hand
myself, she is my woman for crying out loud,
and don’t forget who am I now?“ Gavin said
proudly.
Ariel just bent her head in shame and regrets.
Why is he suddenly helping her, thought he
wants her déad too?.
She thought him been a public figure earlier was
nonsense and stupid but now he is even helping
her with the influence.
They nod and take off the handcuffs.
He stretch his hand to her but she couldn’t even
raise her face to stare at him.
He take her hand in his and begin to walk away
while she follow behind looking at their joined
hand.
Tears roll down her cheeks uncontrollably.
She is sure going to jail today, she won’t be able
to escape this one.
When she was unconscious back then, she saw
all what she did.

She wipe her tears and join Gavin in the car
while a cop sat with them.
Gavin held her hand and gave it a gentle
squeeze, assuring her everything will be alright.
Ariel gulp down nothing as his hand on hers

Maya back hit the wall gently and she ball her
fist.
“Am here for you, let talk things out, even if they
say i loose my memory, I guess I didn’t loose all,
cause when ever I close my eyes, I can’t get you
of my head” he said and Maya sigh in
frustration.

They are girls out there crushing on him, now
that he is going to be more popular, they would
even do anything to be his, why her?.
“Drew, they was never us, we never dated, I
never liked you, yes, you used to ask me out, but
I never liked you” she explained trying to use her
best patient method.
He scoffed and let out a dry laugh before
moving back from her.
“Are you saying all this cause of that guy?,
Gavin?, are you saying this cause you are
thinking am a half memory guy?, tell me why
you never want me?, tell me why can’t you just
being your self to love me, have I ever hurt
you?“ He asked tearfully.
Maya was speechless, she was staring at him
speechlessly biting her lips.
“I..I…b..but they are other girls out there’ she
stuttered.
“And so what?, why don’t your rip my heart out
and yell it out to it?, cause I still don’t get it, if we
aren’t dating then, why are my thinking about
you all the time, when I gain consciousness,
your name came first on my lips, why don’t you
ask my heart, why is it addicted to you, why
does it yawns for you, huh?“ He half yelled
breathing hard.
“Hey, Drew, please calm down” Maya said
seeing his reaction.
“I should calm down, don’t tell me anything,

it to it” he said his eye so red, tears rolling down
from it.
“Don’t forget he is an amnesia patient” Mayor’s
words ringed in her head and she gulped.
What has she done?, maybe she shouldn’t have
tell him those words. She should have play
along with him, or maybe keep playing hard to
get.
What if his yelling add to his health issues?, she
has to do something.
He picked a flower verse close by and threw it
on the floor squashing it there, he pick another
lamp close by and throw it on the floor.
“I am sorrrry” she said and he paused.
She walked to him and hugged him stopping
from doing something else.
“Am sorry, please just stop all this” she cried
hugging him.
“Please don’t leave me, don’t push me away,
even if we are not dating just let me hold you in
my arms at times, just let me love you, even if
you don’t” he muttered drowsily.
“I will” she said.
She felt his weight on hers and she need no one
to tell her that he is unconscious.
She drag him to the couch that way and push
him to the couch but his hand on her waist
won’t let go and they fell on it that way.
Mayor will come back and explain this, seem
she knew about it.
Maya tried leaving him but he won’t let go.
What the hell is wrong with this guy, isn’t he
unconscious?, she thought her head on his
chest, hearing his soft and gentle heart beat.
She decided to remain that way till she fell
asleep.

Mayor sighed angrily, she has been here for
almost an hour and Karl isn’t here yet?.
Her phone start ringing and she hissed seeing
his name on her screen.
“He won’t come now?“ She scoffed and
answered the call.
“Um..am so sorry Mayor, Rhema got into a
critical condition which landed her in the
hospital, am sorry I can’t come, am really sorry”
he cooed and Mayor gasped.
“Seriously?, can I get the hospital’s address?“
She asked.
“Yeah I will text it to you soon” he muttered and
end the call.
Few minutes later, a text entered and she didn’t
waste time in boarding a cab.
She got to the hospital and met Karl there
looking so worried.
He had tears on his face as he kept blabbing
gibberish.
“Hey, hey, its okay am here okay?“ Mayor
cooed as she rushed to him and pull him into
her arms.
“She is my only sister, she is my everything, I
can’t do without her, the doctors are saying her
chance of living is under 50/50” he rushed in
tears.
“Hey, she is gonna be gonna, okay, she will he
fine, I promise you” she comforted as she pat
his head on her shoulder, while she watch
Rhema from the transparent glass.

Ariel step out of the car with Gavin as they got
to the station.
The cops stare at her in awe.

Ariel bent her head in shame and sighed.
Gavin looked down at the tender creature in his
arms.
It’s is just like the first day he saved her from the
cruel villagers of the joseon then.
She whimpered while Gavin’s arms held firmly
round her shoulder.
They got into the questioning room and they sat
her down.
“At what time did you step out today?“ a cop
asked.
“3..3..3:00pm” she stuttered.
“Where were you heading to?“
“To..to..have fun with my friend” she gulped.
“Where is your friend now?“ The cops asked.
Gavin just sat down watching them boringly.
Is 10:00pm already and he know they are late,
they won’t go back home today but he just can’t
wait for them to be done with their nonsense
interrogations.
Ariel burst into tears remembering the horrible
sight of Rhema on the floor.
“She is …I don’t know” she cried.
“Hmm, what’s your friends name?“
“Rhema”
“Three people reports you to be murdering
people on the streets and you even stabbed
your friends brutally” the cops said and Ariel
tears rolled more.
“Why did you do that?“
“I don’t know, its not me, I swear” she cried.
“Shut..the..“ The cop wanted to shout at her but
seeing Gavin cold face, he swallowed.
“Then we will check the street cameras again,
by tomorrow we will be filing your case to a
court case” the cop said rolling his eye ball.
He brought the system to the table and begin to
check on the cameras.
They checked it and truly they couldn’t see
anyone but people are just dying.
They were falling to the floor bleeding.
Its shows Rhema’s own, where she was been
stabbed by an invisible being.
“Hmm” the cop humed.
“If you aren’t the one, where were you when all
this was happening and where was your
boyfriend?, why did you sustained the injury on
your forehead?“ The cops rushed.
“I..I”..
“I was away for some clarification” Gavin
replied frostily.
“Why don’t you let her be, its late already, there
is tomorrow morning, if you don’t mind, lead us
to the cell, I will like to stay there with her” he
said and Ariel’s eye widened.
“But, sir, you are now a public figure, the CELINE
OR DIOR COMPANY, won’t be happy if they hear
such thing” the cops cried.
“And I can’t let my girlfriend sleep there alone, I
will stay with her, why don’t this be our little
secret, you will keep it a secret till we solve
everything tomorrow” he said and let out a
smile that doesn’t reach the eye.
“But sir..“
“Am fine” he interjected and the cops nod.
They got to the cell, and one could tell it’s high
class cell.
The bed there was a portable one not that
suitable for two.
“Why are you doing this, I thought you want me
déad” Ariel suddenly speak up.
“I didn’t want you déad, I only told you the
solution” he scoffed.
“Then, why are you saving me now?“ she
asked.
“Am not saving you, I just need to get rid of that,
…that bastàrd in you, I just want to lay my hand
on him my self, I want him to face me this time”
he gritted and Ariel sigh in confusion.
“You always use sentence like you have
encountered things like this before, have
anything happened like this before?“ She asked.
“Never mind, you won’t get it, you are too dumb
to get it” he smirked and she frowned.
“Good night idíot!!“ She humped and lay on the
bad leaving him standing.
“So, am gonna sleep on the floor now?“ He
asked but didn’t get any reply.
“You will pay for this, am a celebrity and a god
for crying out loud” he pouted and sat down on
the floor placing his head on his raised knees.
Hours later, He looked at Ariel who already
dozed off already, and he smiled and sat down
in a meditating form with his eyes closed.

Ariel yawned and sit up, her eyes widened when
she couldn’t find Gavin in the room.
“Has he left me here to face my faith?“ She
asked sadly.
“What do you expect, you treated him poorly
and also let him sleep on the cold floor” her
consciousness warned and she sighed.
The door opened and he walk in with two cops
behind him.
“Ma’am, are you okay?, do you need medical
attention, how are you feeling now?“ One of the
cops asked checking her out while Ariel cringed
frightened.
Gavin just relaxed by the wall, his hand deep
down in his pocket with a side mischievous
smirk toying on his lips.
“What’s going on?“ Ariel asked confused.
“You don’t remember?, you got into an accident
with your boyfriend, and we met you guys on
the way, its was too late to take you to the
hospital, so we brought you here, sorry it has to
be in the cell though” the other cops said
respectively.
Ariel’s eyes widened in shock.
What the Füçk is going on?
Gavin walked to her and face the cops.
“I know it very early, but I will like to leave with
my woman, so we can go on injury check up”
he said and picked confused Ariel in his arms
making Ariel eyes nearly bulge out of it socket.
“Bye sir” said the other cops.
“Bye ma’am” said the other.
Gavin walked out of the station with a triumph
smirk on his face while Ariel kept a confused
look on her face.
