Chapter 23★24
**Next morning**
Theo slept with Jaxton since his room was locked and he was scared.
Cinderella woke up with a bright smile. She gasped when she saw where she was.
“How did I get here?” She said as she was looking everywhere.
“What really happened yesterday night? Have I been caught? Was that the reason they locked me up?” Cinderella said thinking about what happened yesterday night.
“Sh|t!! What was I thinking? Why would I be sleepwalking by that time? I hope they didn’t see my face, “Cinderella thought when she remembered everything she did yesterday.
“I should get out before they open this door, “she said, and get up.
“I can’t take the risk of walking out through the door; where can I take apart from the door”, Cinderella thought, looking for a way.
She smiled when she saw the windows. She moved closer and opened them.
She made her way out. She brought out her phone from her pocket to call Fiona. That was when it dawned on her that it had been off since yesterday.
“I will be late for class today, and what will I tell Mrs. Ava?” Cinderella thought as she walked out of the school.
I don’t even know the excuse to give “she said as she stopped a cab.
★Peace orhanage★
“Have you called her?” Mrs. Ava asked Fiona
“Yes! She will soon be here,Fiona said.
“Okay ! Mrs. Ava said and went back to her room.
“You better be here soon. I don’t know what I was thinking when saying that. Did I know whether she was coming or not? “Fiona said.
She was pacing to and fro, waiting for Cinderella outside the orphanage.
Cinderella got down and paid the cab driver.
“Fiona!!” Cinderella said when she saw her.
Fiona ran to her and hugged her.
“Cinderella pushed her off her. What happened? When did you hug me as I just came back from a battlefield? Cinderella said.
“Do you have any idea how worried I was? I even lied to Mrs. Ava so that she wouldn’t be worried.
“I couldn’t sleep thinking of you, “Fiona said, feeling hurt by the way she pushed her
“I’m sorry. I was worried that Mrs. Ava had found out. I don’t know that you have covered up for me, “Cinderella said.
“I hope you aren’t hurt.” Fiona asked
“I’m not,”Cinderella said.
“Were you caught?” Fiona asked
“No! I wasn’t,Cinderella replied, walking in.
She went to Mrs. Ava’s room to greet her, playing along with the lie Fiona told her.
“Are you still going to school today?” Mrs. Ava asked
*Yes! Cinderella replied
“You must be tired. Go and take your bath and eat.
“I have prepared food for both of you, “Mrs. Ava said.
“Thank you, Granny, “Cinderella said, heading to her room.
★R4 penthouse★
They have been knocking on Theo’s door, expecting the person who was there to open the door.
“Open this door right now. I know you are in.” Theo shouted
“Do you think the person is there, and how sure are you that what we saw yesterday wasn’t a ghost?” Cole asked
“The person entered my room and locked the door.
“It can’t be a ghost, “Theo said.
“Ghost can lock the door as well. Come to think of it, we have been knocking on the door for the past an hour and we have not heard anything from inside, Cyrus said.
“Get the security, Theo said.
“Why? Jaxton asked
“We have to break this door, “Theo replied.
“That would be great, instead of wasting our time here,Cyrus said, and he walked out to get the security.
“Some minutes later, Cyrus walked in with the security man.
“He broke down the door as they requested and left.
“You have no escape now. Just walk out, you thief.” Theo shouted from outside.
“Go in and check; that was the reason why we broke the door, “Jaxton said.
“I can’t. What if she sets a trap for me?
“What if I enter and she locks the door again?” Theo ranted
Jaxton entered the room and checked around. He saw a pair of earrings on the bed.
“I have ave seen this somewhere? “he thought as he stared at it.
He put the earrings in his pocket and walked out.
“Where is she?” Theo asked
“No one is inside, Jaxton said.
“Then why was the door locked?” Theo asked
“I can’t answer that. Let’s get dressed; we are late, “Jaxton said.
“No! I won’t enter that room, “Theo said, moving back.
“You can use my bathroom, Jaxton said, helping him bring out his sponge, ,brush and clothes.
Don’t you guys think something is fishy?” Cyrus asked
“What?” Cole asked
“Did you see her face yesterday?” Cyrus asked Theo
“No! I didn’t. Why did you ask?” Theo said
“You made mentioned Christabel’s name when you were unconscious.” Cole said
“I did?” Theo asked
“Yes! Jaxton said
“I don’t know, but I don’t think she is going to forgive us for what we did.”Theo said sadly
★Melo high school★
Summer entered the class. She looked around for Cinderella and the R4 but couldn’t find them.
She made her way out and headed towards the penthouse.
She stopped walking when she felt like someone was following her.
She looks at her phone, which was ringing.
*Why is dad calling me? I just left home, and he saw me leaving. He should have told me wh@tëver he wanted to say. “Summer said before picking calls.
“About the girl, I asked you to run a background check on her.
“Paxton has brought her picture and information about her to me.
“What I want from you now is for you to stop her from getting close to the R4, especially Theo.” Mr. Denver spoke with an angry voice.
“Why ? Summer asked
“Don’t ask me why; just do as I said, “Mr. Denver said at the end of the call.
“Argh! Since she entered this school, she has been giving nothing but problems, Summer said angrily, heading back to the class.
