CHAPTER SEVEN: THE SECOND DAY ( SHAMELESS PRINCESS)
Chloe remain standing, her father brown eyes didn’t leave hers, not even for a second, he went on about how disrespectful it is for me to think about stealing Freya from lord Thanatos.
Ignoring most of his words, I look around the study room, images of the time that I have spent here flood in my head, none of these memories were good ” Chloe ” his growl brought me out of thought ” do you think you’re better than everyone?”
“No ” I responded
” Do you think you’re better than Freya?” He move closer, looking at me dead in the eyes, no feelings attached to them, sometimes I wonder if am truly his child ” you succeeded in seducing Thanatos ”
” It worked perfectly fine ” I smile, waking up this morning, I was alone in the room, he must have run away ” that only proves that he desire me and not Freya ”
” Desire?” Father chuckle ” you are nothing but a poor little leaf that fell where it is not wanted ”
” Lord Thanatos is not married to Freya ” I frown ” I didn’t steal anything from her ”
” Do you plan on ending lord Thanatos life? Just like gill?” He move closer ” you kill people around you, you should be locked up in solitude ”
” Father!!!” At the sound of that, he hit me straight to my face, spitting out blood, I look at him, anger clouding my vision
” Am not your father!!!!” He growl ” none of my children is cursed!!!”
” Do you think I wish to be your child? No body will want a man like yourself as their father ” I growl ” you’re just a pitiful excuse for a father ” I turn around, refuse listening to all his excuses.
Walking out of his study room, I rob my cheek, the part he hit really hurt, maybe I should visit the physi……I couldn’t complete my thought, Freya stood right in front of me but aside the anger in her eyes, she look pale, tired and somewhat matured, too matured….can someone grow that much over night?
My eyes move to her hair, grey colour visible in them, just tiny piece ” what do you think you’re doing ” she growl ” Thanatos is mine ”
” Am not going to fight over a man with you freya ” I frown ” instead, you should look into the mirror, you might be using the wrong body lotion ”
She scoffed ” are you mocking me?”
” Mocking?” I frown ” you should be happy that am atleast telling you about your short coming ”
” Is this some revenge? To steal the man I want?”
” Freya ” I move close and she step back, of course she has always kept distance from me, she desperately doesn’t wish to die” Thanatos belongs to no one, he is not an object and secondly, he definitely is not your man……..he will select the woman who pleases him, especially ” I lean close and whisper ” in bed ”
She gasp, stepping back ” how scandalous ” I watch how her eyes judge me ” don’t you have shame?”
” Shame?” I chuckle ” why? does shame protect me? ”
” The rumors must be true then” the maids behind her gasp and murmur ” you did sleep with lord xilber ” Freya smirk
” Lord xilber?” I smile ” he is just someone that holds no special meaning”
Freya smile ” one could call you an harlot, sleeping with someone who isn’t your husband is not enough but to have slept with many? Pitiful ” she move closer ” Chloe, you truly are shameless”
Watching her leave, I shake my head, rumors spread faster than I expected… sleeping with lord xilber is something I had no idea will spread this fast, that too…he is the king of the east kingdom, such a rumor might tarnish his name, but it seem like he doesn’t pay heed to such things.
Arriving in the physician ward, I walk in, noticing Harald absence, looking at the herbs on the table, spending most of my youth in this place, I know about any drug there is.
Applying the ointment on my face, I hiss at the pain before sitting down on the chair, I look outside the window to stare at lord Thanatos standing close to the huge plantation, father stood next to him.
Staring at him, I notice how manly he looks, how tall, his broad shoulders, those dark eyes, his red lips, how he lick them occasionally, his hand place behind his body, he talk for a while then slowly nod his head.
Freya step into the picture and I frown, why do everything always end with that thick head of hers,keep looking for another man to steal, girls like her needs serious beating.
She touch Thanatos hand, I watch how he look around, breath out and then pull his hands from hers, he keep acting like if he touches some other woman, something will happen to him.
What a weird man.
” You’re back ” Harald walk in ” you seem quiet interested in that man ”
” Indeed ” I reply ” that man is the only one that can really save me ” I turn around and look at him ” ever since I met him, my heart pain seem to have fade away ”
” Is he a physician of some kind?” He look interested I the topic and I chuckle.
” Of course not ”
” Then it must be love ” he smile ” don’t tell me you have fallen for this man ” he give me this suspicious look and I quickly shake my head.
” Oh no, you might not believe this, but they is someone else I fancy ”
” Hmmm ” he smile ” the heart of a woman do work in different ways ”
I smile at that, many people do think that it’s a lie…. some think that I can’t possibly fancy someone but that one person remain lord xilber, he obviously is my first everything.
I also decided to give my heart fully to him, he is more like a light in my life while Thanatos is complete darkness…..why am I choosing darkness over light? They do say feathers of same, fly together.
” I will take my leave ” mumbling, I walk out of the physician ward only to hit Thanatos broad chest ” lord Thanatos ” I gasp
” Why are you here?” He touch my forehead ” are you Ill?” Most times he behave like a complete different person ” your cheek are red, did someone hit you?” I nod and he furrow his brows ” what did you do?”
Just like that he thinks am the one at fault ” I did nothing ” I frown ” do I look like someone that goes around causing trouble ?”
He look at me for a minute then reply ” yes” after listening to his reply I scoffed
” Wh@tëver”
” Regardless ” he touch my cheek ” who hit you?”
” Why?” I furrow my brows ” will you kill him?”
” I see no reason why I should go that far for you?” He reply, sounding cold ” but if it’s someone that needs a killing, I will make sure I do just that ”
” My father ” I reply ” he hit me for trying to steal you from Freya ”
Thanatos nod ” a valid reason ”
” Valid?” I step closer ” you promised to be mine!!!!” He use his hand to cover my mouth, I look at him.
” Not here ” getting tired of being ordered around, I hit his hand and frown.
” Don’t you dare you choose Freya, you will regret it” leaning close, I lift my legs and whisper to his ear ” she will grow old faster, you won’t get time to enjoy her in bed ” by the time I withdraw, the look in his face was that of surprise.
” How did you know?” He asked and I furrow my brows ” excuse me ” he mumble, turning around and leaving.
today is just the second day and he is already at the edge? Choosing a wife shouldn’t be difficult, he already have me.
” Rumors have it that lord xilber will be paying a visit tomorrow ”
” Princess Chloe will surely be ashamed to see him ”
” Haven’t you heard? She is shameless”
” The shameless princess” they all chuckle ” am sure she will sleep with him again ”
I listen to the maids walk pass, they clearly saw me but spoke anyway. But surprise me most is the visitation of lord xilber, why now of all days? When Thanatos might choose me as his bride?
