CHAPTER 31⚔️32
Charles kept on walking farther away from the hut as different thoughts swam across his head. Tears kept flowing down his eyes and he looked more thin and stressed.
He noticed smoke coming from a particular direction and many things came to his head all at once.What if they burnt her alive or maybe her corpse was burning at the moment.He hurriedly moved towards the smoke as he held his chest tightly.
“Evelyn!!!”he yelled as he got closer to the smoke.
Evelyn woke up early and stared at Charles who was sleeping peacefully beside her.She knew how hard it was for him to keep his promise overnight. It took a huge amount of self-restraint to prevent himself from touching a hair on her.
That showed her that he was trustworthy and he could stand by his words. She got up and wore her clothes as she moved out of the hut.She gathered some woods and moved far away from the hut to make a fire.
She was sure people were searching for them already and the fire was the easiest way to make themselves noticeable.She watched as the smoke moved towards the sky and she smiled as she sat on the ground staring at it.
“He must be awake now”said Evelyn as she stood up and dusted her clothes to go and meet Charles.
She hadn’t taken a step when she heard someone yelling her name.
“Charles!!”called out Evelyn and he appeared before her immediately.He was looking distressed and tears were in his eyes.She was confused and didn’t know why he was looking like that.
Before she could ask,he rushed towards her and hugged her tightly squeezing her body into his.
“Thank goodness you are okay”said Charles as he sobbed on her back. They sat on the ground and they remained silent for a while.
“Why are you here?”asked Charles.
“We can’t stay in the forest forever so I came to make a smoke signal to attract attention of those searching.”said Evelyn and Charles nodded.
He was going crazy over this lady and he couldn’t believe he almost died when he didn’t see her for just a few hours.
“Why were you crying?Did you have a bad nightmare?”asked Evelyn.Charles’s face burned in embarrassment as he stared at the floor.He couldn’t let her know that he was searching for her and he had even cried while searching for her so he just nodded that it was a nightmare.
Silence followed and they both stared at the smoke.
“This feels like a date.We are alone and having a private time with each other.”said Evelyn and Charles stared at her.
“This isn’t even anything compared to a date.We are stranded in a forest and this isn’t romantic”said Charles and Evelyn nodded
“Okay then take me on a date when we get back home.”said Evelyn.
“Okay I promise”said Charles.
They stared at each other and time passed by as their face drew nearer.They engaged in a hot kiss,each of them flowing in a world of their own.

Michael and the bodyguards had been in the helicopter searching for Charles all through the night yet there was no sign of him and Evelyn.He noticed a smoke nearby and ordered that the helicopter dropped there.
They hurriedly got off the helicopter and they ran towards the smoke.They were welcomed by a sight that was overwhelming and they quickly bowed except Michael.
“Sorry to disturb you,sir but I think you had enough of her lips”said Michael and they quickly disengaged. Evelyn hid her chest in embarrassment and Charles covered her with his body chuckling.
“What are you doing here,Michael?”said Charles and Michael’s heart surged in anger.He couldn’t believe he was asking him that question.He couldn’t even get a glimpse of sleep all through the night because of Charles and Charles was here being all lovey-dovey with Evelyn.
“Sorry to disturb you sir but I have been up all night searching for you. No staff could go home last night and we were all worried about you but you were here having a lovely time with your bodyguard.You can just continue and we would leave you two alone.”said Michael as he turned back and walked towards the helicopter.
“Wait,aren’t you here to get us?let’s go”Evelyn said as she pulled Charles and they went into the helicopter
