Chapter 54
Beware of errors!
🌹CONFUSED🌹
“Please. I made a mistake”. The chairman begged once more and Zayn threw the chair to the ground.
“Stay away from Emily. Count her out of each and every of your silly plans if you don’t want to loose your chairman’s seat the next day”. Zayn warned and with that he hopped into his car and drove out of the mansion.
That was when Gwen and Blaire ran down the stairs fully dressed up.
“Where’s Zayn?”. Blaire asked no one in particular as she searched around for him with her eyes.
“Are you okay? What happened?!”. Gwen gasped when she noticed The chairman was still onthe floor looking terrified as his nose still bled.
“Just take me to my room”. The chairman said and Gwen helped him up taking him to his room while Blaire just rolled eyes at them before also going in.
《POLICE BASE》
“Why did you want to come here? Your mum will surely get mad once she finds out”. Nancy sighed at Avery who still kept looking out the window of the car they were in.
“I overheard Dad, asking for someone to be released. What if its Maxxy?”. Avery asked Nancy who blinked in puzzlement.
“Again with that jerk?! C,mon now let’s just go back home!!”. Nancy whined and Avery rolled eyes at her.
“My mom would think we just lost our way while shopping”. Avery scoffed.
“For how long do you plan on lying to everyone? I mean why not stage a charade telling everyone you’ve suddenly recovered your memories”. Nancy said.
“Of course I will! I should probably regain wh@tëver fake memories I lost for after a week. That way I won’t get punished, after all i was scared my parents would get mad at me for getting into an accident that’s why i had to fake my memory loss”. Avery said and Nancy thought for a while.
“Can we branch Prince Charming’s house once we’re done here?”. Nancy asked and Avery shook her head negatively.
“It’d be weird if we do so”. Avery said and Nancy pouted sadly.
It was at that moment that Max walked out of the station with a black facemask on, and Avery quickly alighted the car she was in.
“Maxxy!!!”. Avery called running to him as she grabbed his hand to face her, which he did.
“Thank goodness you’re finally out! At least i won’t feel guilty anymore!”. Avery smiled widely at Max who only seized her up with his gaze from her head to her toes with an expressionless look on his dull face.
“You look kind of pale. Don’t tell me you got scared by just few officers”. Avery scoffed trying to touch his face but he pushed her hand roughly away and the force sent Avery to the floor, which made Nancy rush to them.
“Are you insane?! Do you have a death wish?”. Nancy threatened Max who ignored her as he had his deadly glare fixed on Avery who was still on the floor staring back at him.
“You don’t look like one with amnesia. What the hell was your dad talking about Or you probably keot it a secret from everyone?”. Max scoffed his cold glare still on Avery.
“You’re Füçking despicable and the next time you come any close to me. Then i promise to kill you for real”. Max threatened before walking away.
He was about getting into the black Bentley sent by his dad when Avery took off her purple flat shoes and throw it right at the back of his head.
“What makes you think you can threaten me that way?! Kill me? You couldn’t even safe yourself from jail you moron!! If your dad hadn’t stepped in you’d have spent another night in jail, stressing your pretty skin”. Avery yelled now in tears and both Max and Nancy’s eyes widened.
“Are…you seriously crying for him now Avery?”. Nancy asked still staring at her friend in shock.
“Who told you that. I h@të him more than anything…
“Keep it that way. I didn’t merely give you an empty threat”. Max muttered overlooking her tears as he got into the car and immediately the driver drove away.
“You keep surprising me when it comes to him Avery”. Nancy said as she pulled Avery back into their car and she told her driver to start driving.
“Hope you didn’t forget my shoes”. Avery muttered as she remembered Max’s warning.
“No. I didn’t”. Nancy replied rolling eyes at her.
“He isn’t worth It”. Avery muttered assuring herself as the driver drove away, while Nancy only sighed patting her on the shoulder.
《ZAYN’S APARTMENT》
Zayn’s car drove into the gate as he drove straight to the parking lot.
The moment he alighted his car he saw Emily pulling out her luggages where her clothes was stalked in.
“What’s going on? Where are you taking those bags to?”. Zayn asked blocking her from going further.
“Move. I’m leaving”. Emily glared as she tried pushing Zayn from away, but since he was too strong she gave up and took the other way, but he pulled her back by the wrist.
“What’s this you’re doing? And where are heading to with your bags?”. Zayn asked his grip still on Emily’s wrist till she removed his hand from her wrist.
“Home. I’m going to the mansion”. Emily said still trying to leave but Zayn still blocked her way.
“What’s your problem?!”. Emily snapped looking pissed.
“Why are you leaving? For what reason?!”. Zayn inquired in a loud tone also.
“I got a call from Princeton. They rejected me. Like what kinda celebrity based school rejects EmiGold? I could swore they promised to admit me, but…all of a sudden they rejected me. Why’s that?”. Emily asked looking completely shattered.
“What makes you think I’ve got a hand in that? I didn’t even know when you applied remember?”. Zayn said and Emily scoffed.
“Cut that crap Zayn. I know you’re lying! I told you not to get in the way of my admission, but you had to…
“So what? You wanna go to that house party of a school to while away time? I guess you can be a carefree most of the times, but sometimes it’d be best if you put alot of things inro consideration. Do you even care to know what’s going on in your father’s company?”. Zayn asked also getting pissed and Emily’s gaze darkened.
“It’s none of your business. So Füçking know your lane!”. Emily snapped hotly before walking away with her luggage and Zayn tucked his hands into his pockets, as he watched her leave.
《THE RUSSELL’S MANSION》
“He’s grown up now”. Mr Russell smiled staring at Prince who sat down looking awkward as he stared around.
“Of course he is. The youngest are always the cutest”. Mrs Clearn stated and Mr Clearn gave her a sharp gaze to which she ignored.
“My girl Avery is worthy of the most finest men in the country. Of course she loves purple but no one can deny her glistening beauty”. Mrs Russell stated holding her husband’s arm with a wide smile on her face and Mrs Clearn scoffed secretly at her.
“She’s younger and I’m sure older girls even more hotter than her are the ones dying to have my son”. Mrs Clearn also added holding her husband’s arm and Prince sighed staring at her.
‘This proud hag thinks she can shade my daughter? She seems to be forgetting I’m the best at hot replies’. Mrs Russell smirked as she thought.
“Avery’s younger but this cute? Whereas your icy son over here seems to be one lucky to have her as a soon to be fiance. My girl has this charm of pulling any guy towards her irrespective of the status, as long as they’re moved by her beauty they’re just commoners”. Mrs Russell said and Mr Russell faced her.
“Commoner?!! My son’s so far from that!! He’ll be solely taking over from his father soon and then once that happens..
“Solely? Oh, I’m guessing we’re taking Tristan out again right?”. Prince asked with a raised eyebrow and Mrs Clearn glared at him.
“You think we’re here to joke?”. Mr Russell asked his wife in a hush tone.
“If we aren’t then why invite a joker to join us for dinner? Gosh! Of all the ladies you had to find my baby an arrogant mother in law”. Mrs Russell whispered back to her husband.
“We called you both for this dinner to finalise our discussion on the alliance between the kids”. Mr Russell said and Mr Clearn smiled.
“But where’s the so called beauty to begin with? I’m just hoping her mom didnt train her on being rude to the guests by arriving late to a family dinner”. Mrs Clearn said slyly and Prince threw her a glare.
“Don’t you know when to stop?”. Prince muttered to his mum who ignored him as she exchanged glances with Mrs Russell.
Then Avery finally walked in with Nancy behind her.
“Prince charming!!!”. Nancy screamed out in widened eyes when she saw Prince as she immediately ran to hug him tightly even though he was sitting down.
“I missed you so much!!! Wow! Did you get your brows trimmed?! And your nose us more pointed than last time!”. Nancy gasped out dramatically and Avery’s parents smiled at her, while Prince’s parents gave him a questionable look.
“Whose she to you?”. Mr Clearn asked Prince whose gaze went to Avery who had a shocked look on her face on seeing him at her house for the first time.
‘I thought her dad mentioned she lost her memories? Why does she looks so shocked to see me? Or does she remember me?’. Prince thought ignoring his father’s question.
“I’m his little girl buddy Nancy!! What of you two? Are you his parents my future in Laws?!”. Nancy asked and Prince’s parents eyes widened same as everyone else including Prince.
“Is she the Avery you told us about? She’s really loosed”. Mrs Clearn said to Mrs Russell and Nancy frowned.
“I’m Avery”. Avery introduced simply finally speaking and Mrs Clearn gave her a fake smile.
“Both of you sit down”. Mr Russell said and the girls did as told, as Nancy sat right next to Prince who was still uncomfortable with her, while Avery sat right next to her mum.
“Why don’t you both switch seats?”. Mr Clearn suggested obviously looking agitated cause of Nancy’s forwardness.
“Huh?”. Nancy mumbled lowly but switched seats anyway.
“You must be wondering why there’s an handsome young man in our midst”. Mr Russell said and Avery nodded avoiding eye contact with Prince who wouldn’t stop staring at her. Nancy who noticed it bit her lower lip.
“Your mum and I sat had pondered deeply on this and concluded that aside from improving our company’s stock sales marrying you off to the Clearn’s will have a good effect on you making new memories”. Mr Russell said and both Avery and Nancy’s eyes widened.
“Marriage?!”. The girls gasped at the same time.
“We just need your approval baby. We won’t force you, we don’t plan on doing that”. Mrs Russell said and everyone except Nancy faced confused Avery.
‘She’ll surely accept the proposal. After all her ex who happened to be her play toy warned her against going close to him. She’ll probably need Prince charming to replace him’. Nancy thought before standing up and leaving the dining.
