“J, J….Jerome!!” Janella estactically screamed, her heart flying out of her chest in excitement….
She almost jumped on him for a hug due to the much excitement in her, but immediately restrained herself from doing so.
She just stood by the bedside, tearing up, and letting out short laughs as she kept sniffling.
“Babes….” She called, and just like the twins, she went to his forehead and kissed him. She kissed his eyes, she kissed his nose, then took his left hand and kissed it as well.
Jerome smiled again, but his eyes still closed. While his hand was still in Janella’s own, Jerome shakily began to rub the back of Janella’s hand with his thump.
Yes. His hand wasn’t the only part of his body shaking, his whole body was, because he was d@mn weak. It took him all his strength to even rub Janella’s hand that way.
Bianca’s joy couldn’t just contain her heart. It was maddening!
And his mom? She felt like she was dreaming. She couldn’t believe it that her son survived the surgery that a whole experienced Doctor, who is so d@mn good with doing surgeries on people, was actually scared and doubted that Jerome would make it.
“My rare gems” Jerome called out to the twins in the lowest tone ever. He finally opened his eyes slowly. He then tried to move his hand so he could touch them, but he couldn’t move an inch.
“Careful, daddy” Betty said as she saw her dad struggling to raise his hand off the bed.
“I’m fine, princess. Daddy is alright” Jerome said, letting out smiles. The two girls nodded their heads.
“And I’m the happiest Doctor right now, seeing that my patient is awake” They all heard the Doctor say, as he walked into the ward with a huge and happiest smile ever.
Jerome immediately smiled hard on seeing the man who just saved his life.
“Thank you, Doctor” He said, almost like a whisper.
“No, thank you, Mr. Jerome. For being the strongest patient I have ever treated or done a surgery on” Doctor Derek said, making Jerome to smile even more.
The Doctor’s eyes suddenly darted to Desiree and he smiled immediately, remembering the allergies…. The DNA test, the saga and all.
“Isn’t this my little patient?” He asked, rubbing Desiree’s cheek, softly.
“Hello, Doctor. I’ve met you again, yah! This is Betty, my twin sister. But are you gonna give my daddy candies also for being a strong daddy?” Desiree asked, making both Janella and Jerome, in fact, everyone who was there to laugh.
Can this girl just stop being naughty and too talkative already? Geez!
The Doctor actually gave her candies the day she had those allergies. He gave her candies for being a strong little girl, and now she thinks candies are for everyone, including adults.
How funny and innocent of her. Lol.
[ BIG MOMMA’S HOME * NEXT DAY MORNING ]
“Oh, Big Momma!” Janella called out happily, when Big Momma opened the door and she came to view.
“Oh, my love. How are you my darling?” Big Momma asked, immediately pulling Janella into a motherly hug.
“I am okay, grandma. How are you? Where is my sister?” Janella asked back as she broke from the hug, going inside fully.
“She’s in her room, probably still getting herself ready” Big Momma replied, smiling wholeheartedly.
Janella actually is just coming back from dropping the kids at school, after missing school for two good days.
And she’s here right now to pick Big Momma and Abbey up, so they could go to the hospital together.
“Oh, okay. Oh Lord! How much I had missed my Momma’s home” Janella said, making her grandmother to chuckle.
She just can’t tell how happy she is, seeing that happy smile on Janella’s face. Genuine smiles and happiness that she had long seen on her granddaughter’s face.
It has been from one shock to another, sobbing, restlessness and all those things she’s been facing these past few weeks.
“How is Jerome?” Big Momma then asked.
“Jerome is all good, Big Momma. He’s way stronger than he was yesterday” Janella replied, letting out a sigh of relief. “He’s healing, my JJ is healing really fast” She added, nodding her head softly in a yes way.
Big Momma could only smile her heart out.
“Hmm, Big Momma” Janella suddenly called, after she and Big Momma went quiet for a minute.
“Yes, dear” Big Momma answered, returning her attention to Janella.
Janella chuckled, shaking her head, disappointedly, and Big Momma just waited eagerly, wondering what’s up.
“Would you believe that my cousin….the same cousin sister I ever loved, cared and respected so much. I loved Meekah almost more than I love my own sister, Big Momma” Janella began to talk. She kept shaking her head while doing so.
“Meekah? What did Meekah do?” Impatient Big Momma who just couldn’t wait for Janella to spill it out already, asked, moving closer to Janella.
“Meekah has been the lady Nurse Angela talked about…the “Guy and a lady” she told us paid them to kìll my babies, our babies” Janella spoke. Big Momma couldn’t believe her ears as she widened her eyes on hearing what Janella just said about Meekah.
If not that Janella is her granddaughter who doesn’t just make things up, nor lie against someone for any d@mn reason, she would have really gotten mad at her for saying such a thing about Meekah.
The same Meekah she knows? As in, Meekah who is also her granddaughter?
Quiet, cool and nice Meekah?

Janella has got to be kidding her right now.
“What did you just say, Janella? Wait, Meekah did what? Meekah….what?!” Big Momma exclaimed again, shock written all over her face.
“Believe me, grandma. I was more than shocked as you are right now. In fact, My entire body weakened yesterday, when I saw her lying on the floor in a pool of her own blood. And then she instantly began to apologize the moment she saw me” Janella continued, still shaking her head that way as it still feels like a dream to her.
Late last night, even though Jerome was very weak, he actually narrated everything that Meekah confessed to him, to Janella.
He just couldn’t wait to let Janella know about it because….gosh! It was too unbelievable.
Janella didn’t even know what Meekah was apologizing for, was actually beyond the “envy and hatred” she did mention. But after Jerome told her everything, she understood the apology better.
“No way! Meekah is the lady? What the….f*ck?!” Abbey exclaimed as she overhead what Janella and Big were talking about, when she finally joined them.
“I know, right? Meekah was even the reason I got pregnant in the first place. She wanted to ruin me because….” Janella shut her eyes and chuckled again.
“She wanted people, especially dad to believe that I wasn’t the kind of girl they see me as….”
“What kind of stùpidity and føolish envy/jealousy is that? Goodness gracious! Like, I can’t even believe this at all” Big Momma shook her head, running her fingers through her hair.
“Well, she did succeed in ruining me. But here I am today, a proud mom of two most adorable and amazing twins everyone will wish to have. With a loving dad who cherishes and loves them more than he loves himself. What more could I have asked for, Meekah? You thought you were ruining me, not knowing you were actually pushing me closer to my blessings” Janella smiled as her heart just kept swimming in a sea of love. Especially because the king of her heart survived his surgery, and he’s alright.
“Let’s go please, I’m sure Jerome is missing me already” Janella said, getting off the couch immediately.
“Stop oppressing me please, I am begging you” Abbey jokingly said, rolling eyes at Janella, jealousy.
Big Momma just chuckled at those two. She so loves where this is going back to.
[ WESTSIDE VIEW MONTESSORI SCHOOL ]
“Who was that that came to drop you off, Desiree? I thought your daddy was the one always dropping you off?” Elliott, Desiree and Betty’s classmate who always likes to pick on Desiree, asked when Janella dropped them off at school and left, after leaving them under their teachers supervision.
Desiree smiled wide, turning her gaze to her twin sister.
“That was our mommy, Elliott. Why asking me that anyway? My mommy is too beautiful, right?” Desiree smiled, more like a smirk.
“Huh? You have a mommy now?” Elliott curved his small month, not believing it at all.
“She’s always had a mommy, Elliott. We have always had a mommy. You thought you were the only one who could have a mommy? Haha. We have the most gorgeous mommy ever, and she loves us more than anything in the whole wide world, right, twin sister?” Betty asked Desiree, batting her eyelids and smiling in a very funny way that Desiree couldn’t even answer her question, she just started giggling at her sister’s silliness.
“Huh? You are twins? But how? You are only friends” Elliott shrugged.
“I think he’s lost” Betty said, mockingly. “Let’s go, Dee” She added, holding her sister’s hand as they both walk to their class, giggling and turning to look at Elliott who still stood there, looking at them in confusion.
[ AT THE HOSPITAL]
“It’s been Bryson this whole time, mom” Bianca replied her mom’s question, leaning on her mom’s shoulder like a little baby.
It’s not long she came though, and yes, she didn’t go to work like the usual workaholic Bianca that would definitely be at work by this time.
She promised Jerome some days of not going to work. She just wants to be with her “baby brother”.
“Oh my goodness! This so hard to believe. What exactly was his problem with my son? I don’t understand at all. I can’t even believe Bryson wasn’t the one who died in that accident, eish!” Mrs. Meyers said, turning to look at Jerome who was trying to change sides, since he was tired of lying the way he was.
“Hey, hey, hey. Who asked you to do that by yourself?” Bianca scolded, immddiatly going to help Jerome out.
“Thank you, BiBi” Jerome thanked her, softly.
“Well, mom. Isn’t it obvious that he wanted Jerome’s wealth so badly? That was just the height of it, swears” Bianca spat in disgust.
“Sad to announce it to you that Bryson is dad’s first son” Jerome spoke, and Bianca choked on the water she just gulped down her throat.
Mrs. Meyers wasn’t left out of the shock, even though she thought that Jerome didn’t know what he was saying.
“Wait, wait, wait!”….
“Shocked, right?” Jerome asked.
He knew they would never believe it when they hear the news.
Jerome managed to tell them everything anyway.
Mrs. Meyers couldn’t even explain how her heart felt when she learned the shocking truth about her husband.
Since how many years of their marriage before he died, he never mentioned anything like that.
Is it that he never wanted to talk about it, or he actually forgot ever getting a waman pregnant when he was younger?
But how can he forget something like?
How can anyone ever forget something as serious as that?
That was very wrong of him. Very very wrong.
Now see what Jerome went through because of his past wrong doing. Jerome was on the verge of dèath because of his irresponsibility.
What if Jerome had died in that accident?
What if Jerome had not later found out that he has no Cancer and just continued taking those drugs that would have eventually kìlled him for no d@mn reason?
Just what if he had not survived this surgery?
Why was her son paying for what he had no idea ever happened in his dad’s past?
God has indeed been faithful that he didn’t let Jerome die for what he knew nothing about.
“Bryson kîlled dad when he finally searched and found him. He not only kill dad, but he….” Jerome paused, as his heart felt too heavy to say what he wanted to say.
He still cannot believe that Blake is déad and gone. Murderéd by that same monster who almost took his life too. F*ck!
“Blake is dead, Mom and Bianca. Bryson kîlled my brother. The best cousin brother anyone could ask for” Jerome spoke out, sàdly.
“Blake is what?!” Bianca and Mrs. Meyers asked at the same time, eyes wide. It was as though they didn’t hear the part Jerome also said about Bryson kìlling their dad.
But well, that wasn’t as shocking as hearing that Blake is no more.
Bianca covered her mouth, shaking her head vehemently. Like…. No, no, no. This isn’t true, it can’t be true at all.
“Blake has been dead all this while, mom. It was Bryson that has been impersonating and acting as him. That’s how he was able to know almost everything that was happening in my life. I honestly can’t believe I had been dining with the devil that was planning my déath all this time” Jerome gently shut his eyes and just stopped talking as he was starting to feel tired of talking already.
He just laid still, breathing in and out, softly.
“Where is Janella, please?….”
“I’m here, babes. Told you he was missing me already” Janella giggled as she, Abbey and Big Momma walked in.
Everyone chuckled at her, with them exchanging pleasantries.
“How are you, dear? You are indeed healing really fast. I mean, look at who had a surgery yesterday. I’m very sure you’ll start running a marathon in just few days time” Big Momma joked, and they all chuckled out happily.
“Hi, Jerome….” Abbey greeted with a small smile.
“Hey, Abbey. How are you?” Jerome asked.
“Seriously? I should be the one asking you that” Abbey chuckled, likewise Jerome and Janella who is seen sitting beside Jerome on the bed.
“I’m a strong man as you can see” Was all that Jerome said, making them all to smile hard. d@mn!!
“It’s time for your wound to be cleaned, sir” A sugical Nurse walked in and said while they were still talking.
“Oh, okay. Careful babes” Janella said, trying to help him out of the bed, together with the Nurse, and after he got his wound cleaned up. The Doctor came to check on him, after which he ate, took his medications and slept throwout the day.
[ JEROME’S ROOM * THREE DAYS LATER ]
“Just in time” Janella said, walking into Jerome’s room with his lunch.
She specially made the food for him herself. A kind of food the Doctor recommended that Jerome should be eating for now until he heals fully and can start eating any kind of food.
He was actually still at the hospital, and just got back home today in the morning.
Though his wounds and body aren’t fully healed and recovered yet, but he’s good for sure.
Anyway, he just had his afternoon bath, walking back into the room and drying his hair, when Janella walked back in too.
“Who’s the sweetest girlfriend on earth?” Jerome said, smiling seriously as the aroma of what she prepared, hit his nostrils.
“Janella, and there’s no duplicate” Janella replied, stylishly fanning herself, causing them both to chuckle.
Janella then dropped the food on the small dining table in his room, then went to meet him at his mirror stan while he stood there, looking at his body….his incision. He could see it well because he had no clothe on, just his boxers.
Jerome just smiled, then felt Janella carefully wrapping her hands around him, placing them on his hard chest as she hugged him from behind, resting her head on his back.
“I love you, Babes. So very much” Janella let out the words, and again, Jerome smiled, staring at his handsome smiles on the mirror.
“My woman, my strength. I hope you don’t mind me saying I love you hundred times each day?” Jerome said. Janella immediately shook her head, telling him that she doesn’t mind.
Janella then loosened up her wrapped hands when she felt that he was trying to turn to face her. When Jerome finally did turn to face her, he kissed her hair instantly, brushing it to the back afterwards.
“Thank you, Starshine. You’re truly my Starshine” Jerome said, rubbing her face, gently.
“I couldn’t have asked for more, JJ. I should be thanking you for staying alive for me our daughters. For fighting and winning that battle for us. Thank you, Babes” Janella said too, and he smiled. But suddenly started smirking.
“You have to thank my lips….”
Janella crashed her lips on his immediately before he could finish his sentence.
F*cking hell! How could she have waited for him to finish his sentence, when she had f*cking missed him….missed his lips….missed his touches….missed her big Papa.
However, Jerome smiled in the kiss, held her face and deepened the kiss, making her breathless, yet wanting more….
