Candy’s face burn red, heat creeping up her cheek. The man just introduced her!! Before the whole company! Diego held her tiny waist and pulled her close.
“Don’t make feel uncomfortable and treat my wife well”
‘This is crazy!’ Candy screamed inwardly. She tried pulling herself away from Diego but the man drew her closer and stepped away from the employees with her.
Jameson who saw the scene slowly turn and left the place.
Candy literally keep her gaze through out their way, with no idea of where the man was leading her to.
As Diego shut Candy’s office door, he look down at little woman, whose cheek was burning red.
“Are you okay? You’re all red” He stated, snapping her back to reality.
“Huh?” She looked up to him and blinked. “I’m.. I’m fine”
Composing herself, she shot a glare at him.
“What was that?”
“What?”
“I told you I’m not ready” She said, the man calm face turn back to a cold one.
“What do you mean, not ready?”
“You haven’t given me an answer. Why do you want me?” Her question made him speechless.
“Just come back home Candy” his voice soften, lacing with plead. She wanted to give in but no.. not yet.
“Fine, let’s start all over. Go on a date with me”
Candy’s eyes widened. “Huh?”
“I haven’t been a gentleman to you all these while so let’s go on a date. Let me treat you right. I’ll do wh@tëver you want”
After a while of silence, Candy finally nodded. “Okay”
His lips crept into a smile shocking Candy. Gosh it was so beautiful. Before she could blink, the man kissed her forehead lightly. Her cheek burn again.
“We’ll be off by 5pm” Diego said and left the office.
Candy’s hand slowly went for her chest and held it. Her heart was beating like crazy. He smiled, introduced her to everyone, asked her on a date and kissed her forehead!
“Hello everyone, this is my wife, Candy. Stress her out and you’ll get fired” She repeated Diego’s words and burst into laughter. Now that she thinks of it, she really love the introduction.

Carl walked in and found Jackie staring at her phone like she had been doing all day. He sighed knowing what was wrong with her.
“Are you going to keep acting this way because of him?” He asked lightly but the girl didn’t reply.
“I bought chicken” he announced but she still didn’t move. Normally she would have jumped up from the bed.
Sighing, Carl walked up to her and took the phone.
“Hey!” She snapped.
“Sickle cell anemia? Is that what is…”
Jackie snatched the phone away from him before he could finish.
“Mind your business” she glared.
“You shouldn’t be this worried, you crush will be fine” Carl assured.
“Fine? He once passed out while driving almost causing accident. He should let his boss know he can’t do dangerous job or it will endanger him” She said.
“It’s his choice Jackie, you can’t force him. He must have a reason for keeping it in” Carl stated.
“I have to tell others” Jackie sighed.
“Hey he might h@të you for this. You should respect his decision” Carl said.
“But..” Jackie throw her back on the bed. “I can’t help it”
She recalled his harsh words on her during the trip. ‘Don’t push it Jackie, or might h@të you’
“Then you mustn’t have seen the news about your sister” Carl stated and Jackie’s frowned.
“What happened to her?” She asked.
“Just check the news”
When Jackie saw the lastest news, her eyes widened like it was going to pop out if its socket soon.
“What!”

“You came into the company with Aiden and you left last night. Is it what I’m thinking?” Candy eyes squinted.
“No it’s not. The rain made me stay out last night”
“You really didn’t answer the question. You slept at Aiden’s” Candy guessed right and Yazmine choked on her coffee.
“Please don’t tell anyone especially James” Yazmine quickly whispered and Candy gasped.
“I was right? Oh my” Candy eyes widened.
“Nothing happened okay? I never wanted to stay but the rain left me no choice” Yazmine whispered again, making sure Candy is the only one that could hear her.
“And…” Candy lifted her brow. Yazmine rolled her eyes knowing what she wanted to hear.
“Nothing happened alright. I went there to check up on him since he wasn’t returning my text or calls. The rain forced me to stay.. nothing happened I swear” Yazmine said.
“Do you like him?” Candy’s question made Yazmine choke again.
“Like? Of course not.. Aiden is like a younger brother”
“What? You think of him as a younger brother?”
“Yeah” Yazmine replied, not sure of her answer.
“By the way Mrs. Gonzalez, I heard the president finally introduced you to everyone. I can’t believe missed that” Yazmine pouted.
“The whole employees kept staring at me. I feel uncomfortable. Not to talk of the media.. they are going to swallow me with questions” Candy complained.
“Boss only tell the company not the whole world yet. Beside, he’ll protect you always” Yazmine said.

“It’s a dress from Mr. President. You guys are going on a date?” Yazmine dropped a bag before Candy’s table, her face br!m-mln with joy.
“Really?” Candy stood up from the chair. She gasped when she opened the bag. It was a stunning red and beautiful, sure worthing millions. Her smile dropped instead, she does want out for a dinner or something.
Pulling out her phone, she made a call. Diego who was discussing with a partner, excuses himself.
“Hello wife” His deep voice made her heart skip a beat. The word ‘wife’ always manage to bring a smile on her face.
“You’re not planning to have a dinner date with me are you?” She asked lightly.
“Huh? How did you know?” He sounded amused. Candy scoffed.
“You’re so predictable”
“Hm, you sound like you don’t want a dinner date” He said.
“How did you..”
“You’re so predictable” He answered, and Candy chuckled. “Where do you think we should go?”
“Hmm.. I’ll let you know soon” She replied.
After talking to each other for a while, the call ended.
“Are you sure you aren’t talking to someone else?” Yazmine who had been listening the whole time asked.
“It’s still him” Candy smiled.
“I’m jealous” Yazmine muttered.
“Aiden is there for you babe” After her word, Yazmine thew a file on her head.

(PARK.. 6:00PM)
Diego stood before the amusement park before him, having whirling rides and colorful lights. Here is the place she wanted for her first date with him. However when he saw the excitement on her eyes, he decided that no matter how uncomfortable he felt, he would not let it dampen her enthusiasm.
She suddenly turn her head to him, he quickly muster up a smile. Her face dropped.
“You don’t like it here?” Candy asked.
“If this is what you want then fine” He muttered.
“It’s been long I’ve wanted to visit this place. My father do promise to bring me here but never had the chance to fulfill it. My stepmother bought me here with Jackie and made me watch her have all the fun while I crave below”
“That was one of the wish you once told me, right?” He asked.
“Hm, if you don’t like it here then let’s leave” She turn to leave but the man held her back.
“I never said so. Let’s try everything here” He said.
Candy smirked. “I was going to force you even if you don’t like it” with this, she walked towards the park. Diego scoffed digesting her words, she is really good with acting.

“Oh my gawd!!!” Candy exclaimed so hard with both hands in the air as the rollercoaster made its moves.
However, Diego had his arms folded on his chest. He didn’t flinch or scream like his wife did, instead he has a bored look on his face.
What the hell is fun in this thing? It all seemed pointless to him. Just another expensive way to waste time. But still, he tried to smile for his wife’s sake.
“Isn’t this fun?!” Candy drew his arm close.
“Hm” He grunt in reply.

“There are so many teddies” Candy smiled at the numerous teddies in different size and colours kept in a transparent glass. One will have to play a game to win one.
“You want it?” Diego asked.
“Yeah” Candy nodded.
Diego immediately walked up to the man in charge of the teddies.
“How much for all the teddies?” He asked. Both the man and Candy stared at him in confusion.
“Huh? I thought you were going to win one for me” Candy said, pouting her lips a little.
“Why should I try to win one when I could buy all of them and even the whole park itself. Should I double the price?” Diego asked.
“No you should win one. That will make it fun” Candy grinned, her eyes br!m-mln with excitement. Diego pinched the bridge of his nose. “Or are you scared you are going to lose?”
Her question made him look up. “Lose? Ha.. why will I lose? I’m sure the game is just kid’s clumsy games”
“Then win it” Candy demanded.
In the next moment, Diego had a toy long gun in his hand as he stared at the little toys set from a distance before him. His lips curled into a smirk.
‘Not bad’ he thought to himself as he shot all the toys down to the last one, without missing his target or shooting the same aim twice.
Candy clap her hands. “You won the biggest teddy” She smiled as she took the price from the attendee.
‘She is like a kid when calm but a lion when upset’ He thought to himself. After trying out almost all the things in the park.. it was now left with ‘Haunted house’.
Diego smirked, liking the name while Candy stared at it curiously. The place seems bright and lively outside, but she heard the inside was totally different. It was dark and scary.. even though it’s fake, one will feel the chill.
“Let’s go” Diego held her hand and pulled her gently.
“Maybe we should skip this one” Candy suggested and Diego raised a brow.
“Why? Don’t tell me you’re afraid of fake things” He said and Candy swallowed. “You said you won’t skip anything here, you shouldn’t go back on your words. You might regret not experiencing this one like the others”
Candy thought the man was right so she nodded. After paying for it, they both went it. The atmosphere was transformered into something out of an horror movie. The whole time, Candy was holding Diego’s hand tight, so tight she might leave bruises but the man didn’t mind.
The walls were lined with cobweb and floor filled with dust. As the step further, they were assaulted by skeletons, ghost or any creepy looking thing.
Diego wouldn’t flinch a little but Candy would hold on to him like a kid, burying her face to his chest. That’s something he enjoys.
“You’re making me hard” He blurt out when the woman mistakenly brush his groin.
Candy immediately disconnected herself from him.
“Jerk” she whispered and decided to walk separately from him.
All of a sudden, three creepy looking hands grab Candy’s leg tight. As soon as her eyes caught the sight of them, Candy let out a scream.
“Let me go!” She screamed but it didn’t. This scared her the more.
Diego stared at the hands, his eyes turning dark as his anger slowly creep in.
“Let her go” His cold voice made the slow down.
“Let her go or I’ll cut your Fuçking hands off” He warned again.. his voice deep, lacing with anger that sent a chill down the people who own those hands. They tried to scare someone but instead, they got scared.
Diego crouched a little and lifted Candy up in a bridal style, stepping out of the place.
“What a scared little wife” He muttered. Candy whose head was buried in his chest looked up.
“I’m not use to scary things” She mumbled. “Well apart from you”
Diego stopped and raised a brow at her. “I’m not scary”
“Yes you are”
The thunder roared afterward and Candy immediately buried her face to his chest again.
“The rain is about to fall” Diego said. “Let’s get to the car before it starts”
Before they could reach the car, the rain began to pour heavily. Diego had to stay under a shade afraid she might catch cold.
Candy took a deep breath. Seeing this, Diego pulled down his jacket and covered her up. Their eyes met and he found himself staring at her.
If someone said he’ll act this way a year ago then he’ll just laugh. But now he is, this woman before him woke something dead inside him a long time ago. Even though he had hurt her several times, she still choose to stay.

“Hey wife” He started with a soft voice, he reached for her fragile hands. Taking a deep breath, he find a way to let out those words.
“Sorry for being a jerk”
Candy got another shock today. He just apologized?!
“I know I’ve not been nice especially when you try to bring out the good in me. I’m sorry” He whispered.
Candy only stared at him, her eyes urging to let out tears.
He held her hand close and walked up to the rain let it it wet both of them. Candy remembered her request.. kiss in the rain.
He draw her face close and slam his lips gently. Candy eyes close instinctively as she responded to the gentle kiss in the rain. The amazing feeling she craved for so long, washed over her.
Tilting her head gently, he th-ru_st his mouth deeper in hers, exploring her sweetness. He felt his heart beating in a crazy rythm, one of his hand running through her black wet hair while the other held her waist close.
All they could hear was they crazy hearts beat and heavy rain drops.
Candy’s tiny arms were wrapped around his neck, as she kissed her with the same passion and hunger. Both doesn’t want to stop but their lungs begging for air, made them break the kiss.
Candy looked up to his face, his expression staring at her like she mean something. Just how long had she crave for him to stare at him this way.
“I found the answer Candy” he whispered so low, his voice hoarse. He slowly lifted his hand to her wet lips, caressing it gently with his thumb. Candy eyes desperate for answer…
Then, the answer dropped out from his lips.
“I want you, because… I LOVE YOU”
