CHAPTER 33&34
Our lips met in a tender embrace, His lips were so soft that I almost melted on it, As Atlas leaned in closer, his warm breath mingled with mine, sending shivers down my spine.
The touch of his lips against mine was electric, lightening a fire within me that I had never known before. With each gentle caress, the weight of the world seemed to fade away, leaving only the intoxicating sensation of his presence.
Our kisses were soft yet fervent, a silent symphony of longing and desire. With each press of our lips, I felt a connection deeper than words could convey, as if our souls were entwined in an eternal dance.
Atlas’s hands cradled my face delicately, his touch sending waves of warmth coursing through me. As our kiss deepened, I found myself lost in the moment, consumed by the overwhelming rush of emotions.
Time seemed to stand still as we melted into each other, our lips moving in perfect harmony. In that blissful moment, there was only Atlas and me, our hearts beating as one in a world of our own creation.
With each kiss, I felt myself surrendering to the intoxicating pull of his embrace, allowing myself to be swept away by the tide of passion that carried us both. And in that sweet embrace, I found solace, knowing that I was exactly where I was meant to be.
As we finally parted, breathless and flushed with desire, I looked into Atlas’s eyes and saw a reflection of my own longing.
” Don’t cry anymore” He said and then cleaned my tears.
I couldn’t help but feel a sense of gratitude wash over me as Atlas’s words enveloped me like a comforting embrace. Despite the turmoil raging within me, his presence offered a ray of hope amidst the darkness.
“Thank you, Atlas,” I whispered, my voice barely above a breath as I struggled to put into words the depth of my gratitude.
Atlas’s gaze softened, his eyes reflecting understanding and compassion. “You don’t have to thank me, Timi. I’m here for you, always,” he said, his voice filled with sincerity.
His words live deep within me, stirring emotions I hadn’t realized were there. In that moment, I found solace in his unwavering support and the genuine concern he showed for me.
As the weight of my heartache began to ease, I felt a renewed sense of strength coursing through my veins. I knew I couldn’t change the past or the pain I had endured, but I also knew that I had the strength to overcome it, with Atlas by my side.maybe.
“Timi,” Atlas said softly, breaking the silence that had settled between us. “I know it may not mean much right now, but you deserve so much better than someone who would hurt you like this.”
His words struck a melody within me, a reminder that I was worthy of love and respect, and that I deserved someone who would cherish me for who I was.
Tears welled up in my eyes once again, but this time they were tears of gratitude and newfound strength. “Thank you, Atlas,” I said, my voice trembling with emotion.
Atlas reached out and gently brushed away the tears from my cheeks, his touch gentle and reassuring.
“You’re stronger than you know, Timi,” he said, his voice filled with conviction. “And no matter what happens, I’ll be here to support you every step of the way.”
In that moment, as I looked into Atlas’s eyes and felt the warmth of his touch, I knew that no matter what challenges lay ahead, I would face them with courage and resilience, knowing that I had a friend by my side who would always be there for me.
With Atlas’s unwavering support, His words gave me hope, reminding me that even in tough times, there’s always a way forward.
As I breathed a sigh of relief, I told everything that had happened with Kelvin to Atlas. Despite his attempt to mask it with a smile, I could see the concern in his eyes. He listened intently, his expression shifting from concern to empathy as I shared the pain of my heartbreak.
The warmth of Atlas’s presence enveloped me like a protective shield, comforting me in a way I hadn’t felt before. His help made me feel stronger to deal with everything inside me.
With a deep breath, I composed myself, wiping away the remnants of tears from my cheeks. “I’m sorry for breaking down like this,” I said, my voice steadier now.
“There’s no need to apologize, Timi,” Atlas replied, his gaze unwavering. “We all have moments of vulnerability, and it’s okay to lean on others for support.”
I nodded, grateful for his understanding. “I just can’t believe Kelvin would do something like this,” I admitted, the pain of betrayal still raw.
Atlas’s expression softened with sympathy. “Sometimes, people can surprise us in ways we never expected,” he said gently. “But it doesn’t define who you are or your worth.”
His words gave me hope, shining through the darkness in my mind.
“Thank you, Atlas,” I said, a sense of gratitude washing over me.
Atlas gave me a reassuring smile. “Anytime, Timi. Just remember, you’re not alone in this.”
As we sat together in silence, a sense of peace settled over me, knowing that I had a friend like Atlas who would stand by me through thick and thin.
Suddenly, my phone buzzed with a notification. I glanced at the screen to see a message from Kelvin. Despite everything that had happened, a part of me hesitated to open it, fearing what it might say.
“Are you going to read it?” Atlas asked, his voice gentle.
I took a deep breath, mustering the courage to face wh@tëver lay ahead. With Atlas’s unwavering support beside me, I knew that I could handle wh@tëver the message contained.
“Yes,” I said, opening the message from Kelvin.
Kelvin’s messages stirred up conflicting emotions within me. Despite still having feelings for him, I couldn’t bring myself to reconcile with him. The fear of repeating past heartaches held me back.
“I don’t want anything physical, not even a kiss. I just want you, Timi. You’re the most amazing person I’ve met this year,” Kelvin’s words echoed through my tears, evoking a mixture of longing and pain.
Unable to hold back my emotions, I broke down once more, finding solace in Atlas’s comforting embrace.
“His words keep pulling me back in, Atlas. I feel…” My words trailed off as tears overtook me again.
“It’s okay. Just breathe,” Atlas reassured me, his hand gently patting my back. His presence offered a sense of calm amidst the storm of emotions.
Kissing Atlas felt like a betrayal to Kelvin, yet I still yearned for him. But reconciling with Kelvin felt like a leap of faith I wasn’t ready to take, given his past intentions towards me.
“Take a relaxing bath and watch some Instagram reels, but not about heartbreak,” Atlas suggested with a warm smile, bringing a flicker of light into the darkness of my thoughts.
“Okay,” I replied softly, grateful for his comforting presence.
“Stay strong. Don’t dwell on your messages; it’ll only remind you of what’s hurting you. Put on your big girl pants and take a break,” Atlas advised playfully, lightening the mood.
“I’ll keep an eye on you,” he added, pointing to his window before bidding me farewell, his support leaving a lasting impact.
Atlas made sure I stopped crying and chilled me up for a while before leaving.
Going to school the next day was more like a choice but I choosed to go. I sat on my seat alone like I used to and i won’t say I didn’t miss it but it made me feel like a weirdo. I missed when I used to sit with Kelvin and just joke around about random things and laugh at people. Yes we do laugh at people may God forgive us.
“Hi,” a girl greeted me with a warm smile, and I couldn’t help but find it a bit strange.
“I’m Jane,” she introduced herself, still smiling brightly, seemingly unfazed by my lack of response.
“O…kay,” I responded, trying to convey my disinterest as I turned my attention back to the plain whiteboard in front of us.
“I just wanted to tell you that you’re really beautiful,” Jane continued, her compliment catching me off guard. It wasn’t the first time I’d heard those words.
“I know,” I replied curtly, half-expecting her to take the hint and leave me alone. But to my surprise, she took a seat beside me, unbothered by my cold demeanor.
“I really want to be your friend,” she said, her smile still in place. I felt a twinge of annoyance.
“Can’t you see that I don’t want to talk to you?” I asked, my irritation seeping into my voice.
“I’m sorry,” Jane apologized, but rather than walking away like I expected, she remained seated beside me. Oh, great.
—
“I didn’t actually mind, though. I tried to read, but it felt like I was forcing myself,” Jane confessed, chuckling softly.
“But you’re the best in school; you can teach me all your ways,” she suggested, her smile wide and infectious. It was clear she was a talkative soul.
“Timi,” his voice interrupted our conversation, pulling me out of my interaction with Jane.
“Can we talk?” he asked, but I nudged Jane, silently signaling that I wanted her to stay.
“I can actually help you with that, Jane,” I said, surprising her with my sudden inclusion.
“Oh my God,” Jane exclaimed, her smile growing even wider at the unexpected invitation.
“Jane, excuse us,” Kelvin said, his tone firm as he stared at Jane, who looked a bit frightened.
“Jane, stay,” I intervened, signaling for her to remain seated. Jane seemed confused by the conflicting messages.
“Stop acting childish,” Kelvin chided me, eliciting a scoff from my end.
“Me? You’re very funny,” I retorted, feeling a surge of defiance.
“Jane, excuse us now,” Kelvin repeated, his tone leaving no room for negotiation. Reluctantly, Jane got up to leave, casting a puzzled glance in my direction before departing.
Kelvin then took the seat Jane had vacated, turning to face me.
“Timi,” he called, but I chose to ignore him.
“See, I know I messed up pretty bad, but I always had these feelings that you would never like me because of the way you are…” he began.
“The way I am?” I cut him off, seeking clarification.
“No, were” he corrected himself, sighing softly.
“When you started showing interest in me, I was shocked. I thought I was dreaming. I only made that plan with Dera as a joke, knowing full well that I wouldn’t go through with it,” he confessed.
“But you planned to go through with it after I agreed to be your girlfriend,” I pointed out, seeking clarity.
“At the beginning, yes. But after two days, I was madly in love with you. You make me feel good every day,” he admitted.
“Why didn’t you break up with Dera immediately after you started liking me?” I inquired, curious about his motives.
“You know Dera. She would’ve spilled everything, which she did when I eventually broke up with her. But I was scared of losing you. You’re just too precious to lose,” he said, his hand gently caressing my face, turning it to face him.
“I h@të Dera,” I murmured softly.
“Me too. She’s a pest,” he agreed, his hands now softly caressing my lips.
” I’m sorry, I really wanted to tell you yesterday it’s just that I couldn’t” He says.
” Maybe it would have been better” I said Rolling my eyes.
” Yes I know, I just didn’t have the balls” he says.
” You Don’t have balls?” I asked making him laugh.
” Do you want to check?” He asked. I nodded negatively with my eyes widened. We were both quiet for a while before he broke the silence.
“I love you,” he whispered, before slowly pecking my lips. Despite feeling like a fool, I couldn’t resist his charms.
