Chapter 79 – Killed My Parents

“But he decided to burn the papers.” He revealed not quite spilling everything to her at once but giving her bit by bit.

SoMi didn’t like this, she just wanted the cold hard truth, not him beating around the bush.

“You know I’m not the best person. I’m a sinner.”

“Aren’t we all?” She countered softly as doubt began to enter her, it www bad, really bad.

“If you’re mad and I know you will be, walk away from me and this time I’ll let you decide if you want to be with me or not. I’m not perfect, I’ve f*cked up too many times.” He said lovingly. His words were sincere and gentle laced with fear.

She tried understanding why she heard fear but she realized it was because he feared that she would walk away, and this time she won’t return.

“Your parents…they died in a car crash.” He revealed.

Why was she so scared? What was he trying to protect her just as she always protect him but right now she just needed the truth, no matter how horrible it was. “I know….I was there remember?”

“And your grandfather was the one who ordered the kill.” He added and that she was well aware of. Anger poured through her veins every time she thought of that horrible man.

“….And I helped, I helped kill your parents.”

She was rendered into shock for a moment, unable to comprehend anything that was going to. She stared wide-eyed at him, hung loose. His eyes were pleading for her to stay and understand but her head was too messed up and she was beyond confused.

SoMi did the next thing that came into her head. She turned around and left.

SoMi knew in the back of her mind that she should stop, turn around and go back to Johnny and listen to his explanation. Her mind was screaming at her, telling her to go back but her heart was saying the complete opposite.

Her heart was telling her to run far away from here. She had been lied to, betrayed, and used too many times by Johnny. How ironic was it that the people she loves and cared about are the ones capable of causing the most pain.

She stormed into the kitchen ready to rip off a head or two, but she froze in her tracks when she saw Taeyong sitting there on the stool. She stared at him because she knew that look on his pretty face too well.

Taeyong smirked deviously at her with that smug smirk, a dangerous combo if you ask her.

“What are you doing?” She questioned suspiciously. He shrugged innocently but she knew better than to believe that.

“You won’t go, you can’t go even if you try to, your heart is stuck here even if you try to jump off this ride.” Taeyong spoke and she wasn’t even going to bother trying to decipher the hidden codes and messages his words had.

“He helped killed my parents. My God! It all makes sense now, the fact that he gets upset every time I bring them up, how he’s so protective of them, too protective, it’s because he’s guilty. It was always his fault.” SoMi exclaimed angrily pulling the roots of her hair.

“SoMi, he didn’t know.” Taeyong revealed.

SoMi rolled her eyes. “Of course he didn’t know. If he did, he would had never been involved.” SoMi wasn’t stupid and she wasn’t born yesterday. She had already assumed that he helped her grandfather unknowingly.

“Then why are you upset?” Taeyong asked and she wanted to empty a clip in his face.

“Are you kidding me Taeyong? He helped kill my parents!” She shouted, not understanding how he could be so calm and collected. Then again, it was Taeyong.

“Well, wasn’t he already responsible for their deaths before?” Taeyong brought up. He didn’t see the difference here.

Before she found out, she knew Johnny was responsible. Now that she found out he was also still responsible.

“That’s not the point.” She rebutted pacing back and forth.

“Oh really? Then what is it, because I can’t seem to understand why you’re so mad. Fine, Johnny got an offer from an anonymous buyer who was willing to pay big bucks to him and make him implant a bomb under a specific car belonging to a specific couple with their teenage daughter. That’s all and you’re making a big deal of this, then it is w…”

“It’s because, he keeps disappointing me over and over and freaking over again!!” She screamed oblivious to the third person who just entered their scene. “It’s because whenever things go wrong in my life, it’s always because of him, and I’m the stupid fool who can’t leave him. That’s why!”

“If you were to know anything about a woman, it’s that you shouldn’t test one, especially when she’s already pissed off.” SoMi was definitely not meant to be ticked off even more.

She paused in her spot, ran her fingers through her long hair and mumbled something Taeyong couldn’t hear. She turned around and quickly climbed up to the stairs, disappearing from view.

“That actually went better than I expected.” Taeyong commented, knowing that Johnny was standing by the connecting hallway.
