CHAPTER 10: ADAM AND HELENA
The three girls laid on thier beds, it’s free period that Thursday after school, Rebecca is busy reading and Judy is arranging her clothes and Helena, well no one can say because she keeps tossing around on her bed.
“What’s up Helena? Why are you turning around is there something going on?” Judy asked
“No I am okay thanks” she said and sighed heavily which made Judy and Rebecca looked at each other. Still on this, The door opened Forcefully revealing the might Gravity Girls with bunch of bananas.
“Why will you just barge in like a fool? Judy asked
Mimi stepped forward and dropped the banana in her hands and spoke up….
“Ha… I almost thought we came to the wrong room but it is indeed your room losers? Well we came to offer our condolences to our dear new classmate that is about to get constipation” She said and erupted in a bout of laughter with her friends.
Judy stood up in fury but was stopped by Rebecca. Rebecca knew what they were about to do with bananas they brought and she was sure that of Judy was to cross her limits the girls are ruthless.
“We’re sorry but I think you actually come to the wrong room because this bananas are for monkeys and we’re humans don’t you think?” Helena suddenly spoke up making Rebecca cringe.
Carina smirked and came in then faced Helena that’s still laying in the bed with mock…. “Pretty new Bîtch I guess you actually come to this school to die?, I heard it from teachers that you’re transferred from France branch here so tell me are you here to die? Carina asked
Helena stood up and faced her, she’s equal height with Carina anyways. No one dared to look into Carina’s eye and Helena is already crossing the line? Rebecca quickly grabbed Carina’s hand and make her look into her (Rebecca’s) eye….
“Hey, she doesn’t know who you are….. Don’t worry isn’t it about the bananas? Don’t worry Judy and I will eat it” Rebecca said. Grabbing the banana and was about to eat when the dorm mistress came in with Ian. They were all shocked.
“Killian reported to me that You’re being bullied? Carina and her friends to my office! She instructed and leave. The other girls (Mary, Mimi, Angela and Regina) followed leaving Carina, Ian, Helena Rebecca and Judy behind.
“Don’t you hear what the mistress just said that you should go to her office? Judy asked
“If I may ask are you Carina Carter? It’s none of your concern” She spat and face Ian “, Handsome, why are you in girls dorm? Are you afraid that something will happen to your Rebecca?” She asked
Ian looked at her disgustingly before replying, “Just as you said, it’s none of your concern” then he faced Helena, “Helen, can we talk for a moment? He asked and Helena wore her slippers and followed him out. Carin faced Rebecca…
“Oh my goodness, is Ian not looking at our dear Rebecca Ken again? Ohh what a mess” ,she said sarcastically and left.
Rebecca was furious and somehow angered by what she said so much that she also left the room.
“Ohhh my gosh! What are my supposed to do with these love birds? Judy mumbled as she Peel one of the bananas tht gravity girls left behind.

Rebecca didn’t want to eavesdrop on thier conversations but as she was leaving the females dorm, she stopped when she heard thier voice under the stairs.
“Why are you in the girls dorm? And why did you ask me out?” Hele asked
“Helena please I beg of you go back to France…. Your presence here is distracting me I promise” Ian begged
“How is my presence distracting you? From Rebecca? I know you’re only trying your best to love her when you don’t! I know you Adam Rebecca Ken is not your type of girl Adam why are you punishing yourself?, I know you still have some feelings left for me then why are you doing this?” Helena replied
Rebecca feel somehow sad and defeated and unbeknownst to her, she gently sat down to listen to more of their conversations.
Ian sighed…. “I want to love you but our past is Injuring me…. Seeing you dead trying my best to forget about you and suddenly seeing you here again it’s too fast for me to assimilate…. You’re distracting me Helena, please get back to France I’ll sponsor everything” he pleaded
“Am sorry Adam I can’t go back… I am here and am here now going back unless you want to go back with me” Helena argued.
“Stop calling me Adam…. You killed the Adam in me and I don’t want to be Adam again…. Adam loved you but Killian didn’t!” He said and was about to leave but was stopped by what Helena said
“I Love You…. I have always loved you” she said making him turn
“Then why did you say that to me?, Or have you forgotten what you said to me,,?”
(FLASHBACKS)
Helena smiled and contined eating, “oh I don’t blame you, how will you know all that? Nerds care about books anyways” He said casually but Adam heard.
Suddenly but furiously, Adam stood up, “why can you so dumb? Can’t you see I clearly loved you? Why will you choose that guy over me? You know I can take care of you…. My dad’s rich and I can spend his goddamn money anyhow then why? He asked
Helena was surprised… She was overwhelmed how Adam of all people will say he loved her “you loved me? Since When Adam? Did you think I’ll have any feeling for you because we have one or two things together? In your dreams Adam I can’t love you that’s a table” she said and was about to continue eating but Adam dragged her from the chair and took her outside the cafe.
“Who did you think you are Helena? You think you could just come to my school and distract me? You’re my first person Helena and you stabbed me in the back? How dare you? Adam asked
Helena smiled furiously “Hey Adam what are you suddenly talking about? First What? Oh what a pathetic fool you are Adam, did you think I’ll want to date you? Of course not we have fun doesn’t mean I have feelings for you am sorry” She said and left leaving Adam in a tangled mess.
Right before his eyes as she left, she ecountered an accident!
(END OF FLASHBACKS)
“Why? Did you want to make me happy again and leave? You don’t love me when I was still a nerd and now you love me when I turned to a handsome most wanted boy at school?
“No! I didn’t know how it happened but that day I didn’t die I really felt lonely and deserted but I was rescued by an ambulance and after recovering I realize how much I wanted to be with you…. I know we’re still Highschool’s we shouldn’t be doing this but I wanted it”Helena said.
Impulsively, Ian hugged her and in the next moment they are kissing.
“I won’t be seeing you more, come back to the school dorms ” she said
“Sure I’ll pack to thr school dorms I just realized what I felt for Rebecca was just infatuation” he said.
Rebecca didn’t realize she was crying and gently left the love birls and left for her room with a new resolve that she will help Helena and Ian get more closer and not be a third wheel in thier love even though she was slightly but she doesn’t know why.

Weekly tests are around the corner it’s Friday they willing be having tests on Friday…. Judy and Ricco are not around Rebecca as usual, Mr Dawson the math teacher that was helping Judy has been transferred and Ricco, he’s busy going up and down.
Helena and Ian are known around the school for a while as the latest couples in town even Gravity Girls seems to forget about them for a while the have not been coming to class for some days now even though they are in the school compound.
Rebecca is somehow left alone, she goes to the dinning alone and arrive and leave the school Alone. The new dorm building is done, Helena left their dorm for the new dorm leaving Rebecca and Judy in the room. She was trying to read seriously, her marks are one of the worst mark out there. Visiting days are near and her father will come visiting which is a sure deal.
She had not been talking with Ian in some days now, he doesn’t need to read before he could pass any tests he’s brilliant and Helena, she was hanging out with him so no one knows what she was up to.
The weekly exams were done and the results are pasted on Monday morning. Rebecca received the greatest shock of her life… Her marks decreased from 70/80% to 40+59. Her formal spot has been taken by Helena she was above her.
Mrs Tiffany call them to her office angrily….”I am happy that your scores got high Helena but you Rebecca what the heck is going on in your brain?, Can’t you think straight for once,? how come a new student beat you to it?”, You must increased your marks or else!…., You know what I can do” the woman said.
When they left the office, Helena faced Rebecca…. “I am sorry that I have to compete with you in marks again but that serves you right” Helena said with a smirk
“I don’t mind it, we’re friends after all, as you said I shouldn’t have gotten this far, I am lazy”, Rebecca replied casually thinking what Helena was saying is all joke.
“Sure…. Your had managed to get this far with Ian’s help but now he has gotten rid of his infatuation of you and you’re getting low marks! What a pathetic life! She said in a pitiful manner making Rebecca shocked. She didn’t expect such from Helena
“Why are you saying this Helena? Did I offend you? She asked
“No but just stating the truth! But remember! Battle line is drawn I’ll make sure your marks drop so low then you’ll have to drop out of school and join the army” she said and left.
Rebecca was surprised, for her to say that, then Ian had told her everything that happened between them.
