She was moving backwards until her back was leaning to the door. ” Are you still scared of me?” He asked, few steps to her.
He stood before her, only two steps away. He placed his both hands on her shoulders, moving them down to her palms.
” Please, lay with me. Even if it’s only for tonight. ” He said in a low voice, as if he was scared some one might be listening from the outside.
She shook her head. ” I can’t. I’m sorry, I can’t.” She refused.
” Please… I have already made a promise to myself and to you, I will take care of you until my last breath. Just please, don’t say no. You just don’t know how much you mean to me. ” He pleaded.
So an alpha can plead in such manner all because he wanna have s*x with his slave? She wondered to herself.

Theodora had to put on the same facial expression until she knew she was out of his room and steps away from him.
She turns her back after hearing the sound of closed door. ” Don’t worry, very soon, your time will be over.” She cursed.
Half of the night she spent it awake, thinking. How are the other rogues doing?
Are they safe? Or have Kaleb sent his men for the second time?? She was so much bothered for their sake.
She thought she was going to experience happiness not withstanding the trauma Kaleb created for her. Even at that, he did something even worster, yet he wants her to sleep with him and act like every thing is alright?

She had already laid on her bed, ready to sleep when she heard voices like whispers from the outside.
She tip toed quietly to the door so as not to wake the other maids. She leaned her left ear to the door, to get a clear hearing of what they were talking about.
” Come, let’s go somewhere more hidden. Someone might be eves dropping.” Said the first speaker.
They walked away, making it impossible for Theodora to hear what they are about to talk.
Quietly, she sneaked out of the room, following the direction the voices went.
” I think here is better.” Said the same voice. ” His highness has brought up the idea of sending some men to mountain Everest by tomorrow before sun rise. He said his instincts aren’t at rest. He wants to know how long the beast has to be freed. ”
” I doubt those men will survive the ice. Look, we can not risk a hundreds of armies just for a beast. ” Said the other.
” I know. I thought as much too but what can we do? He wants to be sure because he doesn’t want the beast to hinder his coronation. If possible, he’d have it dead if it’s time was near.”
” I think it will be better if he holds the coronation the sooner. History has made us know that mount everest isn’t an ordinary place, those men to be sent might not even get there before they die, so what’s the point? ”
” You have a point to this. I will discuss this with his highness by tomorrow, we’ll see what he says about it. ”
” Please do so. I still find it difficult to bear the United State’s weather, how explainable will the Mount be? ”
Theodora quietly tip toed back to the room, shutting the door behind her. ” You should be asleep and not wandering around.” Said a voice, but the room was dark that she couldn’t see who it was talking.
” I… I went… I mean, yeah. I went to the toilet.” She stammered.
” Thank your stars you weren’t caught. You should be on bed or they find out that you sneaked out. ” Said the girl.
” Yeah, of course. ” She went to her bed, covering her body with her blanket.
Why would he risk so many life just for nothing? Why does he desperately want the beast dead? She thought.

The alarm rang, causing every maids to wake up. Theodora felt so lazy to stand, she has never woken up this early before.
They divided themselves into groups. First group was to enter the bathroom before the other groups.
As Theodora folded her work dress, holding it in her hand, waiting for her turn, a girl stood beside her.
” I know you heard something last night.” She said.
Theodora looked at her.” Were you following me? ” She asked.
” No, but I doubt you did go to the toilet. ”
” Of course, I did. What ever it is you wanna hear, I think you have to find it out yourself because I didn’t hear anything. ” She defended.
Who knows if she was a spy or what, trying to make her leak the truth, ending both her and the two men from last night in trouble.
The girl smirked. ” Don’t try lying to me, it’s all over your face.”
” Then get your answers from there. Cos my mouth isn’t saying what it doesn’t know. ”
