The goons we’re still pointing their guns at the doctor and nurses. They were so silent that those outside won’t suspect anything.
Darrell walked inside. “ is the doctor out”she asked Ariel
“ no, I wonder what holding him in there “ Ariel replied. Darrell eyed Gwen who was busy picking her nails. Darrell walked to the door of the room.
She raised her roes to see inside through a tiny glass design on the door.
“Ariel, come and see” she whispered and Ariel rushed there.
“ how did they get in there” Ariel said shocked
“ this is more serious than we thought, something bad is going to happen if we don’t act fast “.
“I will call the corps” Ariel said taking her phone.
Gwendoline got hint of what was happening and slowly sneaked out. Darrell turned
“ where’s Gwen “ she asked
“ that traitor has escaped “ Ariel replied and Darrell ran outside. She saw Gwen running and she chased her.
Darrell grabbed Gwen by the wrist. “ you think you can escape, you will pay for your sins” Darrell said and slapped her
“ please let me go, I was just obeying someone’s orders” Gwen pleaded
The corps arrived in their car. Gwendoline knew she was doomed, she pushed Darrell and ran to cross the road
A car hit her and she fell.
Khalil was d@mn worried. “ have you found them” he asked the corps “ no, but we are close to them now “
Gideon Mansion
Gideon read the papers in his hands and chuckled. “ you want me to transfer my properties to you, you are so childish “
“ I knew you told Alex about the tape incidence, you are just a fool” Gideon continued
“ I R@PED Cali if you want to know, you disgust me Gideon, you are always trying to be the best and I h@të you for that
You always take every thing I want, you my position as the captain of the football club back then in high school
You took Cali away from me, you took the award that was supposed to be mine at the grammies
I h@të you for that, I h@të you” Lawrence snarled
“A jealous heart never gets what they want, I didn’t take anything from you, I worked for it and got it” Gideon said
“ that’s why I want to kill you” Lawrence said pressing Gideons neck.
“ stop that, you will kill him” Ella said trying to take his hands away
“ if you kill him, how will he sign the papers, sign fast and stop wasting our time” Ariel said
Liam and Clarrisa entered the house through the back door.
They walked quietly and peeped downstairs. Liam hurriedly brought out his phone and called the corps.

Khalil quickly untied Patricia, she hugged him tightly, sobbing on his shoulders. “ its okay baby, am here now” Khalil said patting her back gently.
The corps had already taken the goons away. “ did they hurt you” he asked and she shook her head.
“ let’s go home” he said
Hospital **
The corps surrounded the hospital and the goons we’re also arrested the doctor commenced treatment and Darrell was relieved
Gwendoline died instantly after she was hit by the car and her body was taken to the mortuary.
Gideon Mansion
Gideon picked the pen to sign the papers when the door burst open. “ if you move, I shoot” a corps said
Lawrence picked his gun and shot at Gideon who smartly ducked the bullet. Gideon kicked his hand and the gun fell.
A female corps shot Lawrence on his leg. “ please am innocent, he forced me here” Ella said in tears
“Hey, tiny shut your mouth before I shut it up for you” the officer said. They we’re arrested and taken away.
“ thank you so much” Gideon said and hugged Liam. “ its alright “ liam replied
“ thanks too” Gideon said and also hugged Clarrisa.
“ let’s rush to the hospital “ liam said and they entered the car. Gideon kept praying that Stephanie would be safe.

“Sorry, we tried all we can to save the child but we couldn’t “ the doctor said
“ Stephanie?? “ Gideon asked with a cracked voice
“ she is fine, she is sleeping “ he replied “ can we see her now” Liam asked
“ yes, but one after the other” the doctor replied
Gideon nodded sadly his eyes we’re red and he was trying to hold back the tears.
Gideon walked into the room and sat on the chair beside the bed. Her bump had disappeared.
He held her hand and kissed it.
“ I wish this was just a dream” he muttered.
Stephanie slowly opened her eyes. She looked around her. “ what am I doing here” she asked and tried to sit up.
Gideon helped her, she remembered passing out in the room and the blood she saw
* did I give birth to my child*
She touched her stomach and couldn’t feel anything there . she felt empty.
“ where is my baby” she asked
“ how are you doing love” Gideon asked trying to divert her attention.
“ where is he, I can’t feel him anymore or did I give birth” she asked with a smiling, hoping that she had given birth to her cute little prince or princess
But she rembered that its not up to nine months yet…..
“ the baby… Is gone” he said and the smile vanished from her face
“ No!!!!, this can’t happen” she screamed and jumped down from the bed.
“ cupcake be careful “ Gideon said trying to hold her.
“ just tell me you are joking, my baby is still here right? “ she asked with rears rolling down her cheeks
Gideon fisted his hands and let out the tears he had holding back. He was deeply hurt and seeing Stephanie in this state hurts him more.
