Chapter 40
★An abandoned building★
“Why did we bring her here?” Chloe asked, pulling the unconscious Nirvana into the building
“I need to get rid of her.. she is the reason Desmond doesn’t look at me” Rachel smirk
“you mean Jasmine? But you once told me she’s a twin.. what if we got Nirvana and not Jasmine?” Halle asked
“The fact they have the same face is their problem to bear… I don’t care who it is cause I’m ready to make her pay” Rachel said with an evil smile
.
“Hey, Wake up” Rachel said pouring water on Nirvana’s face
She opened her eyes slowly and looked around the unfamiliar environment
“Where am I?” She asked still looking around
“I’m supposed to be home.. what the hell am I doing here?” She face Rachel
” Wow, we got Nirvana the arrogant Bîtch” Rachel laughed
“Wait, did you kidnap me? You even tied me up” Nirvana burst into laughter
Rachel and her crew stared at her in confusion as she laughed loudly
She laughed so hard that tears threatened to leave her eyes
“Seriously? You kidnapped me” she asked again trying to get on Rachel’s nerves
“Let me see how long you can laugh” Rachel said and collected the bat from Chloe
She proceeded towards Nirvana and gave her a countless slaps until her nose started bleeding
“Loser” Nirvana spat on her face
“Is this all you can do? Why don’t untie my hands and face me as a girl? You caward” She added and it was followed by another slap
“I’m not stupid darling..I’m not ready to lose my pretty face. Yeah, you’re strong so this is all I can do” Rachel replied taking a step back
I need to record this as evidence…. Nirvana thought and tried removing her phone from her back pocket but her phone wasn’t there
“Looking for this?” Rachel said showing her the phone
“What if we get caught?” Halle asked
“You don’t need to worry.. she’s dying soon and no one will find out. Even if they do, my dad can protect us” Rachel said assured
“Why did you kidnap me?” Nirvana spoke up
“Are you asking me that?” Rachel scoff
” Aren’t I suppose to atleast know why I’m being held captive? ”
“Stop playing dumb.. you are the reason Desmond doesn’t even look at me and I must get rid of you if I want to have him all to Myself”
Desmond again? Why does everyone want him?..I need to get on her nerves… Nirvana thought then smirk
“Desmond can never be yours” She sn!gg@ed.. “he was mine from the start.. even if I die now, he still won’t love you”
She smirk when she noticed the angry expression on Rachel’s face and she was glad her plans were working perfectly
“What did you just say?” Rachel asked already pissed off
“Girls, let’s deal with her” She commanded and immediately, Chloe, Halle and Stephanie each took a bat and started hitting her mercilessly
She groan in pain as the bat made contact with her skin. She was becoming Weak and was already half paralyzed. She couldn’t fight back because she was d@mn tired
“She’s going to die” Halle yelled
Chloe and Stephanie stopped hitting her
Halle placed a finger close to her nose to see if she was still breathing but she wasn’t
“Is she dead?”Halle staggered lightly
“What do you mean? Rachel frown and squatted Infront of the unconscious Nirvana. She felt her pulse but didn’t feel anything and her eyes widdened
“Quick, Let’s go” she ordered and they all left the building

“Someone pls help me” Nirvana cried. Her voice was faint that it could hardly be heard
“Help me” she cried again as she crawled on her belly. She was covered completely with blood
That moment she didn’t know what to do, she couldn’t even stand on her feet
“I regret coming to this hell hole. Mom, dad I wanna go back to our home in the states,,, no one loves me here like Aliya ever did” she cried weakly
“Desmond I need you” she said in her mind as she opened her eyes lightly
“I need to text dad” She said again reaching out for her phone
She kept crawling on her belly while wincing in pain as she proceeded to where her phone was lying on the ground. She stretch her hands with great difficulty before she could get her phone
? Dad.. I’m sorry, sorry for making you worried…
She sent and immediately lost consciousness

“Jasmine” Gabriel called walking into Jasmine’s room
“I think your sister is in trouble” he said
“Trouble? Why would she be in trouble?” Jasmine asked
“She has no enemy at school..so why would anyone do anything to her” she said
“The only enemy she has now is me” Jasmine muttered inaudibly
“Don’t you think we should call the police?” Gabriel asked
“C’mon dad.. I believe she is fine or probably she went to her boyfriend’s place” she replied
“Its 10pm already Jasmine.. why are you like this? Moreover, she didn’t tell me she had a boyfriend” Gabriel said
“Of course she won’t because she’s not a kid.. and dad, if you have no other thing to say please leave my room” Jasmine said
“What?” Gabriel asked, surprised
“I said leave my room” she repeated and her dad shook his head before walking out of her room
He had been a good father to Jasmine but he didn’t understand her sudden change of attitude..

★Desmond’s mansion★
“I will be back” Desmond stood on his feet
“Where are you off too?”Michael asked but he kept mute
“At least tell me something” he pouted
“Nirvana is in trouble and she needs me now” Desmond said and disappeared
“She must have called him” Michael smile and lean back on the couch waiting for Desmond’s return

Desmond landed in the building and his eyes trailed round it till they landed on Nirvana
“Nirvana?” He called moved closer to her
“Nirva.. he called again but got no response..
He knelt Infront of her and turn her to himself such that he could see her face
His eyes widdened at the bruises on her body. She was completely covered in her own blood
“Nirvana?” He called again fearfully
He felt her pulse but she had none and his heart skip beats instantly but he still didn’t wanna believe his instincts
He place two fingers close to her neck to feel her heart beats but what he discovered made his heart sink
Her skin color had started to change and her face was already pale
“It’s my fault” he said as tears threatened to leave his eyes
“I’m sorry Nirva.. I promise to hurt the one that hurt you” he said and carried her in a bridal style before appearing in his mansion with her in his hands
“What happened to her?”Michael asked immediately he sighted them
“I’ll explain later but right now I need to heal her before she dies a second time” he replied as he carried her upstairs and laid her on his bed
He sat beside her and started using his powers on her
“Stay with me pls… Desmond cried as he used his powers on her but it wasn’t working
“You need to wake up Sera.. You can’t die yet..I know I was late… I heard everything but I just kept mute. I was waiting for you to call me first..I didn’t wanna be a busy body and make you even mad at me.. I’m sorry..” he cried and cut his palm open trying to use his blood on her but it still wasn’t working
“You’re playing a prank on me right? You’re mad at me so you decided to prank me right? Huh? Yes that’s it, it’s all a trick… you can’t leave me, stand up and tell me it’s all a trick… Stand up Nirvana” he yelled as tears trickle down his cheeks
“Just wake up okay?” He screamed and the house shook greatly
Michael quickly ran to Desmond’s room when he heard him screamed
“What’s wrong?” Michael asked, confused
“I tried using my powers on her but she isn’t waking up”
“She must not die Mich… Desmond cried and Michael just stared at him, dumfounded
That was the first time he’ll ever see Desmond that pathetic
“Let’s try combining our powers” Michael said and Desmond nodded quickly
Michael sat opposite him and they both used their powers on her but she still wasn’t waking up.
“Let’s ask Lord Stone for help me” Michael suggested
“He wouldn’t help her,,,, he doesn’t want to see me and he will be happy if Sera dies again”
“Why” Michael asked
“Because of our cruel fate” he replied
“Let’s no loose focus, let’s try it again” he added and Michael nodded
They closed their eyes more firmly, holding Nirvana’s hands each.
They tried again but she wasn’t coming back…..
★McAdams mansion★
Jasmine was busy on her phone when she suddenly started feeling pain
She didn’t know exactly where the pain was coming from. Her phone fell from her hand and she held her head tightly
The pain became unbearable with every second that passed
“Arggh..Dad” She screamed in pain and Gabriel quickly ran to her room
“What’s wrong Jasmine? Look at me” Gabriel asked fearfully
” It’s hurts dad” she cried
“Where?” Gabriel asked
” Moleukesseoyo { I don’t know} she replied
“Let’s get you to the hospital” Gabriel said fearfully
“Dad,,, I..she couldn’t complete her statement when she lost consciousness
