NEXT MORNING★ HOSPITAL.
Joshua was still sleeping and David was outside having a talk with his mother while Carly was Inside watching him, waiting for him to wake up.
“No mom, I can’t tell you Joshua needs to rest now” David sighed.
“I’m only asking for his house address, it’s not too much is it?” Evelyn complained from the phone and David sighed again.
“Mom Joshua wasn’t in good shape yesterday, it was so hard to put him to sleep and if I call you, you’ll wake him up. Why don’t you just let him wake up first!” David complained with a pout.
Carly who was watching him from the window sighed and took her face back to Joshua.
She almost gasped when she saw his eyes open.
“Joshua, you’re awake” she muttered but Joshua just took his gaze up to the ceiling.
Carly smiled and stood up.
“Your brother must be so happy!! I will go call him just wait!!” She smiled and rushed out of Joshua’s ward already.
“David, Joshua is..” she was shouting when she got out but immediately clamped her lips together when she saw that David was still on the phone.
David looked at her and she cleared her throat.
“Joshua is awake” she whispered, pointing at Joshua’s ward.
David nodded and put his attention back to his phone.
“Oh, the rice I’m cooking is burning, bye mum, will talk to you later” he hung up without waiting for her reply.
“You said Joshua is alive, let’s go” he said and Carly nodded.
They both rushed back into Joshua’s ward
“Brother” David took the small stool opposite him and took Joshua’s hand.
“Brother I’m so glad that you’re awake, I was Füçking worried about you, I almost cried when I saw you hang yourself, why did you do that huh!?” David scolded.
A teardrop came out of Joshua’s eyes and rolled over to the direction of his ears.
“Hey why are you crying?” Carly took the other seat.
“I’m done for, I’ve lost everything I worked so hard for just like that” he muttered.
“Says who? Brother you still have us. Me, mum and baby sis” David replied and Carly looked at him.
“Yes I know that but how will I protect you two, when I’m so useless now. David, if anyone recognizes you as my brother then you’re done for too, you’ll be criticized and you’ll be over and you Carly, if anyone knows you’re part of me then you’ll suffer. Don’t you two get it!” Joshua snapped painfully.
“No, we don’t get anything! Why are you pushing us away!?” David almost yelled.
“I’m not pushing you guys away, I’m just stating a fact, I’m as good as dead now” Joshua sniffed.
“I can’t take this” David muttered and stood up then stormed out while Carly wiped her tears and moved closer to him.
“Joshua” she called but his gaze was still on the ceiling.
She brought her hands to his face and wiped the tears that were coming out of his eyes.
“You’re a good guy and people are just missing that. You don’t have to care about the company that just abandoned you, you have me and David and besides I’m sure that they are other companies looking for a guy like you, so please don’t let this news get to you and bring you down”
“You asked me to be your kids sis and you were gonna commit suicide and leave me alone, what kind of big brother acts that way!” She cried to him.
Joshua shut his eyes tight and turned to face her, he brought his hands to her face and wiped her tears.
“Don’t cry anymore, I won’t do it again” he said softly.
“You sure?” Carly asked slowly and he nodded with a forced smile.
“I did that because I was in too much pain and at that point, I thought only death could take my life. At that point I sat on the ground and thought to myself of what I had done to deserve it” he muttered and turned to face her completely.
His eyes were misty.
“I really loved her, Carly, and I know I was a womanizer and a playboy in the past. I’ve dated girls and dumped them and I’ve gotten criticized for it many times but I didn’t care” he shook his head and took his gaze back to the ceiling.
“And then one day I was called to shoot a film and I saw her, she was going to be the female lead. Carly you won’t believe if I tell you how crazy my heart went just at the sight of her” he muttered, remembering the past.
Carly just bit her lips as she listened.
“I asked myself countlessly why I was feeling this way, was it because she was scared of me and didn’t throw herself on me like other girls. When I asked her out, I was so scared, I didn’t expect her to say yes, I didn’t expect that she did like me too and I thought she would end up like the other girls I’ve met but deep down inside me, I can feel that it was different with her. For the first time I really loved someone” he muttered and Carly cleared her throat.
Then Joshua let out a sardonic smile.
“Her friend didn’t like me, her friend would always warn her about me. She was scared that she’ll wake up one day and find me cheating on her but I convinced her millions of times that I’d never do that. I told her that I was real but she kept investing in me, she didn’t trust me, she couldn’t trust me!” He folded his fist.
He breathed and continued.
“My childhood friend was drunk that night in the club and kissed me but she came and assumed that I was cheating on her, I tried explaining but she called it quits and darn I was in pain, so much pain. At first I felt like I deserved it because I’ve done this to other girls but in about two weeks time, she changed, she wanted to destroy me, she was hell-bent in destroying me”
“I didn’t know how she did it but all my fans went to her side. I was left with nothing, my friends, my close friends thought I cheated, one even h@tëd me to the core” he chuckled and continued.
“Slowly by slowly, she was turning to someone I didn’t know, she was changing physically, her career went up to an incredible high level, she surpassed me and she kept using my name to do so. She just wanted to destroy me and guess what?” He asked dryly.
“What?” Carly asked.
Joshua turned to face her with a lifeless look in his eyes.
“She did, I’m all ruined now” he replied in a lost tone.
A teardrop fell from Carly’s eyes and she moved her head to his chest and placed it there.
“Just calm down, please don’t think too much about this, just calm down okay?” She rubbed his chest slowly.
“You’ll be fine, it’s good as you told me” she whispered.

SYDNEY’S PLACE.
She kept staring at her contact that had “Bunny” written on it, she has been doing that for a while now.
“Hey Livy” the door opened and Sydney stepped in with a takeaway in her hands.
Olivia immediately turned off her phone and hid it at her back.
“Sorry I was too lazy to cook so I went to give you some steak out” Sydney placed the takeaway on the table and began taking off her coats.
“Thank you” Olivia smiled and stood up, she walked closer to the table but paused and looked back at Sydney.
“What?” Sydney asked.
“Can I borrow your phone for a little while, mine is acting weird and I don’t know why?” She asked and Sydney shrugged.
“If you want it, it’s charging beside my laptop. I’ll be in the bathroom, I really need to pee” Sydney replied and rushed to the restroom.
Olivia went to Sydney’s reading table and took her phone. She went to the call section and breathed before dialing a number and calling, waiting for it to pick.
