Henderson rushed to her, she was almost on her knees when he caught her. She cried on his shoulders. It’s supposed to be a happy night for her.
“What’s the …” He paused and remember his words. “It’s every woman’s dream to see her child, get married some day”
“Am sorry I didn’t mean it that way” He apologized. “No, it’s okay. It’y life. Filled with pain. But am glad you wiped out that pain and my greatest fear, because I know that some day he will come for me” She muttered, he quickly understand that she’s talking Grayson.
“Am here for you. No one will come after you. Don’t forget that we’re in the same ship”
“We both lost our parents to him. And am sure that your parents will be happy wherever they are right now. Seeing the smile on your face makes them happy.
But the tears on your face makes them sad and troubled. Same goes to me, so let’s be happy
Thirty minutes later, they left the restaurant, they arrive at home, she quickly freshen up. She headed to bed, she wasn’t sleeping.
Henderson finished up his work and lay down with her. He curved his hand on her waist, making her glance at him.
“You’re still sad” He muttered and kissed her bare back. “Stop..” She muttered and closed her eyes.
“You don’t me to touch you” He replied.
“I didn’t say that. I wanna be alone” She muttered and sniffed.
“You’ve been crying all these while. I can’t leave you alone” He replied, she didn’t say anything but remain in that position. He repeated the kiss on her bare back.
“I understand how you feel. I promise that i will never leave you and i won’t let anything happen to you” He muttered, she turned glaring at him.
“I love you Amelia, please don’t tell that you wanna be alone. I understand how you feel. I feel the same, but i can’t let it take over me” He muttered. She hugged him, while the tears continued flowing from her eyes.
“Stop crying babe, you know that i don’t like seeing you cry. It hurts me” He muttered and pat her back.
She stop crying and Henderson pat her until she slept off while resting her head on his chest. He thought about his parents and how he lost them, same day. He quickly waved it off.
NEXT MORNING
They return to the palace and Amelia was very happy, she was staring at her engagement ring when he came into her room. He stood there for two minutes, she didn’t notice his presence.
Of course a lot of things were going through her mind. She has finally gotten her man, she knows what she went through in this palace..
He cleared his throat making her look at his direction. He nodded and walked closer to her.
“Are you just coming?” She asked, glaring at him. She stood up and gave him a warm hug.
“Hmm! I’ve been standing here for the past two minutes” He replied. “Seriously?” She questioned.
“Yes, princess Amelia” He replied and broke the hug. He went to the window and she followed him.
“Are you mad at me?” She asked, he glanced at her and then to the window.
“For not observing your presence”.
“Nah! You were having a good time.” He replied. “Am sorry….” She apologized.
“It’s a good day. And i love the fresh air” He muttered, while at the clouds and some trees around the palace.
“Amelia..” He called. “Yes” She replied, wondering why he called her.
“I love you and i can’t stop saying it. You’ve made my life completely happy and you made me a good fianceé and a good father and king too”
“But am scared” He paused, staring at her. She took his hand and muttered, “Today i make a promise that i won’t leave you, for any reason. I promise i will be by your side when you need me the most. And i will forever love and worship you my lord. I will be your queen, we will rule Rome together” She muttered and kissed him, passionately.

Henderson broke the good news to his councils and they were happy about it. They were happy on the moves made by the king. They celebrated and king Henderson promise that she will be his queen.
After the celebration, the other councils left. It’s was Henderson and his prime minister that was in the court room. Jefferson has been a minister when Henderson’s father king Harry was alive.
“You never told me that she still alive” Jefferson said.
“Why should I tell you?” Henderson asked, with a fixed gaze.
“The late King’s mother was kidnapped you didn’t care about it. We rescue her, you didn’t bother to come check on her” Henderson half yelled.
“I’m sorry your royal majesty, I wasn’t aware that, her majesty was kidnapped” Jefferson said.
“Now you know.” Henderson said and stood up. Jefferson stood up too, he bow to him as he walked out.
Jefferson went to the queen and greeted her, he apologized for not coming to see her and explained to her that he wasn’t aware of what happened.
Saanvi was in her room, when the king walked in. She greeted him politely and usher him a sit, which thanked her and sat down.
“I heard about your engagement to the princess” She muttered, before he could open up to tell her.
“Yeah! That’s the reason why am here” He replied. “Ah! I know. Good luck” She muttered.
“I hope you are not having any problems” He muttered. “Am good, i was on my way to a restaurant and getting tired of the palace food” She muttered, pissed off.
“Oh! You can tell the maids to prepare something else for you. If you don’t like what is served on the table”.
“Oh com’on I don’t want to stress the maids. Besides am not their boss” She muttered.
“It doesn’t matter” He replied. “Alright, but i have to go now. Am seriously hungry” She said and stood up. Henderson was about to leave when, she asked him about someone.
“What about Amelia” She asked, with a little concern. “She’s fine” He replied.
“Alright, take care. I have to leave now” She muttered. Henderson nods and left her room, he was on his way when she walked passed him and waved at him. He waved back and smiled.
A lot of things were going through his mind, for the first she’s asking of Amelia. He returned to the room, but didn’t tell Amelia that Saanvi asked if her.
Maya and Ethan came to the palace to celebrate with them. Henderson told him about the good news. Maya was angry with Amelia, because she didn’t broke the good news to her.
“Am sorry best” Amelia said. “Hm! Okay. We’re Besties, so am not mad at you anymore”
“But com’on tell me. Did you know that he was gonna get you engaged?” She muttered.
“No. I was surprised, when he went on his knees. And i saw him holding a ring. And do you know the most wonderful part, He’s councils are aware that we’re engaged..
Am so happy. I can’t wait to rule the entire Rome with him. Waking up with him by my side”
“Hey! He’s always there when you wakes up”
“Not all times. Sometimes I don’t find him on his bed.”
“And make love to him. In a very comfortable way..oh goodness. Am being naughty right”
“Yeah. You’ve changed a lot”
“Yeah, that’s because I got a naughty man. Am not to be blamed at all” She muttered, staring at Maya. Who was nodding her head.
“Oh! Seriously…” Maya said. “Com’on be protective for once.. You know me very much, am not like this” Amelia said and wink at her.
“Let’s take a walk out of the palace” Amelia said. “What?” Maya yelled, with a fixed gaze.
“Com’on it’s not gonna take much time. Just a walk. For my baby. Huh?”
“Com’on please..” Amelia plead. “Alright, you’ve always been a pain on my little @$$” Maya muttered, Amelia laughed, Maya joined her.
