THE NEXT DAY***
FERNANDO’S ROOM***
“Boss, you called for me” Alex said.
“I need you to watch over Valerie from now on, I feel like she’s in a danger” Fernando said.
“A danger? What do you mean?” Alex asked.
“Will you do what I ask of you first?” Fernando raised his brow.
“Of course, Boss. But, what if Boss lady ask why I’m guarding her, what should I tell her?”
“Just tell her I ask you to”
“Okay, Boss”
“Make sure she’s in no danger or else you’ll lose your head, trust me” Fernando warned.
Alex shuddered. He surely meant what he said.
“I’m going to protect her with my life, Boss” Alex placed his hand on his chest.
“You can go” Fernando said. Alex bowed before going out of the room.
Right now, he doesn’t even trust himself anymore. A part of him wants to grow a family with Valerie and their baby, while the other part of him is scared. It’s scared of what the future has for the both of them.

CAMILA’S ROOM***
“What are you talking about?” Valerie asked puzzled.
“I’m your bodyguard from now on, Boss lady” Alex smiled.
Valerie chuckled.
“That isn’t funny” she laughed.
“It’s not a joke, Boss assigned me to be your bodyguard” Alex said.
Valerie stopped laughing immediately she heard that.
“What? Am I a kid or something? Go back and tell him I don’t need a bodyguard, I can’t take care of myself”
“If I were you, I wouldn’t do this” Alex mumbled.
“I have no choice, I’m your bodyguard from now” Alex said.
Camila popped her head outside before joing them.
“A bodyguard or what am I hearing?” Camila asked.
“Exactly what you just heard” Alex rolled his eyes.
“Well, go back and tell him I’m with Camila. She’s gonna protect me, right?” Valerie faced Camila.
“Sure, I’m much of a fighter that you” Camila smiled proudly referring to Alex.
“But in my dreams” She quickly added, the smile wiping off her lips completely.
“Huh? What are you saying? You’ll protect me, remember?” Valerie asked.
Camila nudged her to stare ahead of her.
“What?” She faced her front and she was surprised to see Fernando staring directly at her.
“Boss, I was only kidding. I didn’t mean to say that” Camila quickly said.
“You have no choice Val, Alex is your protector henceforth” Fernando said.
Valerie rolled her eyes.
“I told you not to talk to me, didn’t I?”
“Stop being stubborn, it ain’t gonna do you any good” Alex said.
“Well… I don’t need a bodyguard or a protector, wh@tëver way you call it. I can protect myself, Mister” she glared at Fernando.
Alex and Camila exchanged glances. Camila slowly entered the room, unaware to Valerie and Alex walked away.
“In what way?”
“Camila is he…” Valerie turned to her side to see an empty air.
“That betrayal” she gritted.
“If you keep doing this, I won’t have no other choice than to get rid of the baby in your belly” Fernando said.
Valerie gasped, she quickly placed her hand round her stomach, as though she’s protecting the foetus inside her.
“You bastard!” She shot
“So, do as I say, Val. I’m in a deep Sh|t as it is now” Fernando said.
Valerie sighed
“Can you just tell me what’s going on with you? I’m your woman and I’m carrying your baby. Don’t I deserve to know what’s wrong with you?” She asked.
She moved closer to him and held his hand.
“Let me share your pain with you, Ferdie. You don’t have to keep it all to yourself” she muttered.
“You’re not alone, you have me and you have… Our baby” she took his hand and placed it on her stomach.
Fernando looked at her eyes and melted instantly. All what he can see there was pure love, Concern and deep affection.
He lost his control immediately and pulled her to him, claiming her lips in a deep kiss.
He made up his mind to abort the baby inside her but not anymore, he’s going to face wh@tëver the future has for him. He’s going to make sure he defeat his enemies, for his woman and for their baby.
One thing he discovered now is, Valerie is surely his weakness. The urge to live suddenly overwhelmed him, to live forever with her and their unborn child.

Andres dragged a guy to a bush, outside the clan and threw him to the floor roughly.
“Why are you doing this?” The guy asked.
“You love your family, don’t you?” Andres asked.
“I love them with my life, so?”
Andres brought out his phone and played a video.
The guy’s eyes widened when he saw his mother, wife and his children tied to a chair, begging for release.
“What did you do to my family?” He yelled. He stood up and tried to attack Andres, Andres punched his stomach.
The guy groaned and fell to his knees.
“If you don’t do what I ask of you, then consider your family dead” Andres threatened.
“What do you want from me?” The guy groaned.
“Well… It’s so simple. I want you to make a video of you right now, confessing that you’re the spy in the clan” Andres said.
The guy quickly looked at him.
“What? I can’t do that, Boss is gonna kill me” he shook his head.
“Then, should I order your family to be killed?” Andres asked.
“What? No, no, don’t do that” the guy begged.
“Then, will you do it?”
“I…. I’ll do it, but promise me I’ll be safe too”
“Sure, that isn’t a big deal” Andres smiled.
“Where’s your phone?” He asked and the guy handed it to him.
“Make a video of yourself now” Andres ordered.
“Andres….”
“Manuel, trust me you’ll be fine”
Manuel nodded his head and unlocked his phone.
“What should I say?” He asked.
“Confess that you’re a spy sent from Arturo, tell him you had to do it since he threatened to kill your family” Andres said.
“Arturo?”
“Do it now or your family will have to pay for it”
“I’ll do it, don’t hurt them” Manuel whispered.
He quickly started a video:
“Boss, I… I want to apologize for being a betrayal first. I just couldn’t put up with it anymore, you’ve being good to me to be betrayed this way. I’m a spy, a spy sent by Arturo. It wasn’t intentional, he held my family hostage and threatened to kill them if I didn’t do his wish. I had no choice” Manuel broke down in tears. This was against his will, how could he say something he didn’t do?
“I wanted to save my family, I didn’t had a choice then. I’m really sorry, I’m telling you this so you can save my family from the bad people. I’m so sorry, Boss” he ended the video.
Andres smiled and collected the phone from him.
“You did well. What’s your password?” He asked.
“Guadalupe” he said. That’s his wife’s name.
“Good”
“I’m safe now, right? You won’t kill them, right?” Manuel asked.
“Well… I can’t assure you that” Andres quickly brought out a gun from his pocket and shot him on his head.
“Enjoy your life in hell” he smirked before going out of the bush.
He inserted the gun into his pocket, he put on a charming smiled, pretending as if nothing happened just now.
“This should fool Fernando enough” he mumbled to himself.
