Newton didn’t notice Ricardo’s presence so he kept leaning in.
Ricardo stood by the door, watching the scene with folded fists.
November was waiting for Newton to bring his face closer so she’ll get the chance to bite him but he stopped when it was just a little bit before he’ll get to her lips.
“Stop ignoring me, please” he said and let go of her, then he walked out of the lab, striding past Ricardo.
November sighed and till he went out of sight, she stared, thinking about why he actually did that.
Ricardo came closer.
“The president is gone, is the vice here to supervise?” She said, returning to cleaning.
“I can help” he said, picking a napkin too.
“I didn’t ask for it, Ricrapdo” she said.
“Ricrapdo?, Not again please” he said and she smiled.
They started cleaning together but his face wasn’t on the table, it stayed on her as he cleaned.
His hand suddenly hit the glassware holder and some of the wares fell to the ground.
“Silly me” he said and quickly squatted.
He started gathering the broken pieces with his hands but they have him several cuts
November came over and gave him a hit on the shoulder.
“Ouch!” He shouted, looking up
“Stupido” she said and bent beside him.
She took his right hand and saw that four of his fingers were wounded by the glasses.
“I was right when I called you an idiot” she said and pulled him up.
“Easy!, I must not fall!” He said as she dragged him to the cupboard where the first aid box is.
She got it and poured some methyl on it.
“Ah! Ah!, It stings!” He shouted.
She looked at him and shook her head.
“You can’t be sent to war, you’ll surely die even before the war starts” she said and he smiled as she started attaching band aids to the wounds.
“I’m sorry” he said.
“For?” She asked without looking up.
“Everything” he replied and she looked up.
“Almost knocking you down, calling you a Bîtch, sending Binta to lure you out of class, making you fall on your face, locking your shirt, just everything, I’m sorry” he said.
“Why is everyone saying sorry today” she muttered.
“Huh?” He said.
“I’ll think about it” she replied.
“How long do I have to wait?” He asked.
“Four months?” She said.
“I didn’t ask you to be my girlfriend, I only asked for forgiveness” he said .
“So you think forgiveness is so easy to give, that’s why you find it cool to behave like a jackass” she said.
“No no…I don’t mean it that way, ok I’ll wait” he replied.
“It’s ok, we’re cool, just stop behaving like an asswipe already” she said.
“We’re cool?, Like friends?” Ricardo asked happily.
“Maybe” she replied and he smiled, trying to hug her but she glared and he stepped back.
He waited till she was done with the cleaning and they left the lab together .
“Do you like strawberries?” He asked as they walked.
“Strawberries?, Yes!, Yes I… I mean no” she said, realizing she was too fast.
“Got you, you blurted it already” Ricardo smiled.
“Wh@tëver” she replied.
“But now that I think about it, it’s been long since I ate it” she said and he stopped walking
“Should we go get them?”
“Where?”
“The grocery store” he winked.
“I’m in” she replied and they started walking fast out of the block.
Bora and Poppy suddenly crossed their way and they had to stop.
“Why didn’t you dress like a girl again?, Already tired of it?, It doesn’t suit you anyways” Bora said.
“Says a girl who fainted last night, I saw how you passed out Bîtch” November smiled.
“I chocked on something, not because of you” Bora said quickly.
“Oh you chocked on a d_1ck?, It’s understandable since it’s your daily manna” November replied and Ricardo laughed lightly behind her.
“Yes, without d_1cks we’re nothing” Poppy replied and November laughed.
“Wow!, You’re really dumber than you look, are you always so dumb or do you only go extra when I’m around?” She said.
“What!” Poppy said.
“Yes, the village called. They’d like their idiot back, you better start going” November replied and Ricardo laugh again.
“I found out who your dad is already, surprised?” Bora smiled.
“Are you planning to f*ck my man?, I know he’s handsome but nah, he’d rather flog your @$$ and tell you how stupid you are” November replied.
“He’s the secretary to the governor, Newton’s dad” Bora said again.
“So?, Are you planning to tell the governor to fire him?” November said and came closer.
“Mr governor owes me his life, let’s see if he’ll listen to a lowlife like you” she said to Bora’s face and smiled.
“I told you to get roll on the other day, you still stink , even worse” November fanned her nose with her hand and left.
“Sorry!” Ricardo said and followed her.
“What did she just do?, She’s not scared of me?, I don’t freak her?” Bora said unbelievably.
“Who the hell is she!!!” Poppy shouted.

November gave the girls a call and told then to go ahead to the hostel so she went groceries shopping with Ricardo.
She ate strawberries as they threw the things they want into their shopping basket.
“Wanna get some cackleberries?” Ricardo asked, throwing some packaged marinated chicken into his basket.
“What’s that?” November asked, facing him.
“You don’t know what cackleberry means?” He asked.
“If you’re planning to tease me then don’t tell me the meaning” she replied and he smiled.
“Eggs” she said.
“Eggs?”
“Yes, you can check your dictionary when you get back” he replied.
“Wow!, Our Ricardo is so brainy” she touched his hair and he blushed.
“You just blushed!” She said and he laughed, turning away from her.
“d@mn, she’s seducing me” he whispered to himself.
She got eggs in her basket and he did the same then they went to the counter to pay.
The lady at the counter was all over him, trying to get his attention by all means.
He gave her his card .
“For the two of us” he said.
“No I’ll pay for mine” November quickly said, wanting to bring out her card too but she couldn’t find it.
“Shoot” she muttered.
“I’ll pay November” Ricardo insisted.
“No I’ll rather return the things I got” she replied and tried riding the basket back to the shelves but he stood on the way.
“We’re friends now, right?” He said.
“Yes but…
“I’ll pay” he interrupted and after their things got rang up, the bills were deducted from Ricardo’s card and their things were parked.
“Care to have my number?, I’m available tonight” the lady said and November giggled, eating from her strawberry.
‘Some ladies makes it hard to be a lady, talk of one shameless slut’ she muttered.
“What did you just say?” The lady replied, seems like she heard.
“Oh her ears function well but her brain is dead” November muttered again.
“How dare you talk to me that way!” The lady glared.
“Should I handle her?” Ricardo asked silently.
“No, let her come for me” November replied and Ricardo smiled.
“You can’t talk anymore?, Huh?, Call me a slut again you daughter of a whore!” The lady said hotly and that made November’s blood boil.
“Show her why you’re called November” Ricardo said.
“Say that again” November said to the lady.
“Daughter of a whore!, Your mum is a whore!” The lady replied boldly and November dipped her hands into the shopping nylon
She got six eggs at once and threw it all at her face and body.
“F*ck” Ricardo laughed as it all broke on her.
The contents poured on the ground and when she stepped on them, she slipped and fell heavily on her face.
The other attendants came rushing and when they tried to attack them too, Ricardo joined her and they both threw eggs at them, almost blinding them with it.
November carried the bag of flour and threw it at them.
It bursted on their faces and the whole place became messy.
Police sirens sounded outside and November faced Ricardo.
“Run!” She said and they both dashed out of the mall through the other door.
“Do we really need to run!” Ricardo asked as they ran down the road.
“No wait and let them capture you @$$hOle!” She replied and he added to his pace.
They ran till the police sirens died down.
“Your car!” She said, referring to the car they left at the store.
“I can always get another” he replied.
“Lucky you” she said as they stopped a taxi which took them back to the hostel.
