The time is unusual today and ticking so slow.
Haliah took glances at the clock and she sighed stamping her feet on the floor showing her impatience.
“Why would Jeff and Kira be put in a different class?! She thought to herself.
A lady stepped in and her aura filled the entire class, without Haliah turning back she knew it’s her mother.
She stopped her leg play and stood up slowly then turned around to face the bitter experience.
” Mother?! She gasped.
“It’s been a while my once fillial daughter” she stated.
Violet closed the door but lady in black is still outside there.
She walked to where Haliah was standing and she pull her in for a hug.
“I should at least do this before turning my back on you…” She disengaged from the hug and said “Just like you did!”
Haliah retreated but her end was stopped by a piled up chair.
“What do you want from me?” She said.
“Wow… Good now you are not pretending anymore or even to apologise to me”
“You deserve no apology mom, I did something right by going against your evil path and I don’t regret it”
“Stupid girl you’ve cut your value so low,I can’t feel that strong aura around you anymore what have you done?”
“I need no evil mom I got rid of it”
“The fact remains the same daughter, you are a demon and will always be”
“No you are wrong”
“What have you turned to Haliah? You betrayed your own blood, your own mother who carried you for months and sacrificed her soul just to save her baby back then.”
She yelled out at her then later reduce the harshness in her tone.
“You’re not at fault, it all started with that hell boy and he’s getting what he deserves”
“Don’t you try to hurt him Mom!” She proclaimed.
“I have no business with him Haliah, his issue is from hell where he deserves.”
“As long as you’re working with that evil woman outside, you’re all demon!”
Violet slapped her right across the face.
“I thought you’re going think through and change because he kidnapped you but I was wrong. I disown you from now on… Now you have no one because I’m coming after you after all this”
“No mama! I have a father”
Violet smirked and approached her closely.
“And did he tell you what he has come to earth to do? To hunt you down and kill you.
I’m the only one that can protect you girl”
Just then Violet’s phone rang and she picked it putting it on speaker.
“What’s the update Ciara?”
?Susan got shot,the hell boy has been shot too,he’s dying today boss.
Haliah’s face went pale on hearing the statement but Violet disconnected the phone immediately.
“Well enough of the chit chat, I’ll come see you often.” She said.
Violet exit her class and Haliah tried to follow but a force pushed her back.
Seems lady in black laced the entrance with a strong seal.
“You can’t hold me back with this” she said.
“For you to break the dark spell of demons then you need to call on your dark side” Lady in black replied her smiling.
“d@mn” she cursed out and took tentative steps back rubbing her hair furiously.
??? DETENTION
was clearly written on the board and a teacher sitting with them.
Jeff and Kira still don’t know how to get out because they’ve not seen Haliah since.
“We should really try to do something” Jeff said.
“But what?” Kira questioned.
Mr.Rob hit his stick on the table and warned them” No chit chat here please, you are to think and reflect on your bad behaviour for landing here in detention class.
They stayed quiet for a while but Jeff whispered to Kira.
“You are just useless, you’ve never for once tried to protect yourself or anyone… You’re a burden. You are a banshee but knows nothing about your abilities”
Jeff’s words struck Kira like dagger and tears filled her eyes.
“Let me tell you a story, Mr.Rob can I tell her a story? It will surely melt her heart”
“Hmm okay” he said.
“No just let me be okay? I’m useless I don’t deserve to roll with you guys”
“If you like listen and if you like don’t.
There was a banshee named Irian, she was a very beautiful maiden but little does she know she was growing to be a fairy spirit.
Anytime she cries, someone dies and her family called her bad luck, witch, all sort of name ignorant of who she really was. Irian was sent out of the house to suffer but one day, she saw a demon looming around her brother’s neck but she wasn’t ready to let him go. She can’t possibly cheat death or fight it so she started wailing and pleading to the extent of crying blood.
Her family thought she’s here again to kill someone so she was stoned to death but she never ran for her life. Her wailings killed the demon and dried it to ashes hence saving her brother’s life but she died.
No one knows about this till date.
Kira who is highly into the story have no choice than to ask a question even in her angry state.
” So how did you know?” she asked teary eyed.
“Because I made it up” he said winking at her.
“Jerk… Always finding a way to bully me right?” she cried out.
“You are clueless, don’t you get my point?” he yelled.
Kira then reckoned it over and she got the message.
“I’m sorry Mr.Rob, I won’t bully my classmates again”
“How is the story connected to what you’re saying? It doesn’t even make sense to be a story. Why was it so sad? Mr.Rob said wiping his tears.
“I feel like singing sir” Kira said crying.
“Keep it low this is detention” He said trying to suppress his tears as well.
Kira started singing a mournful song which changed to a strange Latin language but she has no idea how she was saying it.
The singing intensifies and Mr.Rob started yawning even Jeff.
Kira stood up and walked to the window still singing and when she turned back, the teacher is already fast asleep and Jeff too.
Kira was surprised and happy so she ran to Jeff to wake him up.
“Hold on, I won’t wake him up just like that, though he helped trigger my power but he’s too harsh”
Kira slapped him hard and he jumped up from the chair almost seeing stars.
“What the…. Are those things stars?”
“Yeah it’s already 6:00 idiot… What stars?” she rolled her eyes.
He saw Mr.Rob fast asleep and he knew his plan worked.
“Wow I’m proud of you Kira” he said and hug her.
“Sometimes you scold me and sometimes you make me happy”
“Let’s go kiddo, kill that love bug too, ain’t gon work on me” Jeff rub her hair and grabbed his bag.
Kira grabbed her bag and followed too.
They started checking each classes for Haliah.
