Rowen shivered when he saw Lucy’s finger shake.
He ran to her and kept her close to his arms.
“Lu…Lucy?” He cried.
“Tell me,,, Why” She whispered, breathlessly.
“Huh?”
“Why…why did you do that? Don’t you love me anymore? Why did you have to cheat? Why?” She asked, crying now.
“I…I’m sorry but…I- He sniffed, loudly.
“I guess it too late. I’ve to tell you everything…” He shaked his head.
“I’ve a twin. His name is Rowan(This name sounds just like Rowen)”
“Huh?”
“Its an A…Not a E. Rowan. People always complained why our parents made us bear homophonic names. We looked so much alike” He said.
“You always told you me you were a twin but I didn’t believe. Cause, you never made me see him plus you didn’t show me any pictures”
“Our pictures were at my grandparents place before a wild fire broke out. It destroyed the whole pictures. When I always asked Rowan to meet with our family, he always complained, saying he was busy”
She nodded, giving him a gesture to continue.
“He fell in love at first sight,,,,
★ FLASH BACK ★
“Hey!! Hey!! What are you doing? Are you crazy? Why…why would you wanna kíll yourself!” Rowan growled.
He was looking at the back of a lady who was at the edge of the rooftop.
Seems she wanna commit suícide.
“Stop! Don’t…fall, please!,, whoever you are, you have a reason to live. At least, for the sake of people around you!”
“People around me? I’ve got no one now” She muttered, still not turning to him.
“I don’t understand?”
“My grandma…my last family died. And,,, I never knew she was actually sick. First, it was her eyes getting blurry and dark. Then, suffering from tensed migraines. Now, she’s gone? She’s my only family!!”
“Wait,,, wait. I understand. I do…but,,, you need to chill and think about it”
“What’s there to think about? I’ve no one” She muttered and turned to him.
Immediately, his eyes met with her face, he heard hus heart beat loud and fast.
“Hey,,, don’t worry. You’ve me now”
“Huh?”
“I said you have me. I’m Rowan Stones. You are?”
“Tasha…I’m Tasha Luke”
He smiled and slowly walked to her, then drew her arm forward. She fell from the edge and landed on his body which collided hard on the floor.
“You alright?” He asked with a low groan.
“I’m fine…No, I’m not fine” She started crying again.
He quickly sat down and hugged her close.
“Don’t worry, I’ll be here for you, I promise”
“Do you wanna come with me? To my place?” He asked.
She looked at him, sniffed and nodded.

Days past, and they grew so fond of each other. Long story short, They fell in love.
A WEEK LATER**
“I think I’m pregnant” Tasha said.
“What??” Rowan widened his eyes.
Tasha laughed.
“I’m not sure. Its cause you cvmmed inside me so..I might get pregnant. I was even on my ovulation cycle then”
“I’ll be glad if you even got pregnant. Cause, I wanna marry you…like right now?”
“What! Really?”
“Why not? I love you so much Tasha” He smiled.
“Me too. I love you so so much” She giggled and they hugged warmly.
THAT NIGHT**
A JEWELRY STORE**
“Here you go sir. The ring has been packaged in the box. I assure you,,, your girlfriend or fiancé will love it” The attendant said.
“Thank you” Rowan smiled.
He suddenly remembered something.
“Please, do you know where I can get to a pharmacy store from here?” He asked, keeping the box inside his pocket.
PHARMACY STORE**
“Here you go sir” The pharmacy attendant said, and packaging the pregnancy test inside the paper bag.
“Thank you” He smiled.
“Swipe my card” He added and handed his debit card to her.

Rowan slowly walked through the dark serene alleyway. It was the shortest cut to his home. His phone suddenly rang.
He checked it and smiled.
“Rowen? What’s up?” He asked.
“I think its time” Rowen said.
“What do you mean?” Rowan asked.
“To introduce our families, of course. My wife doesn’t believe that I’m a twin. I also need to meet this Tasha of yours” Rowen giggled.
“Sure. Let’s make it tomor-
*Scrreeee!*
It was the abrupt sound of a car which had hit him.
A loud thud sound followed after that.
“Hello? Rowan?? Rowan!! You alright?? F*ck. Where are you? Ill be there! Tell me,,, where the f*ck are you??”
Rowen suddenly heard a familiar voice and he stood still, his mind blank.
“Excuse me?” It was Lucy quavering voice.
She walked to Rowan whose body was on the floor. She gasped seeing his body in a mess of blood.
His face was awful looking, with deep scratches, bloódy wounds and blisters. He was hardly recognizeable.
“Excuse me? Can…can you please wake up?” She slowly walked to him.
She bent down and checked his pulse.
“No…” She cried, and took her bloody hands to her mouth.
He was de@d.
She got up and slowly took steps back.
“I was drunk. That’s what I will tell Rowen. I…was drunk. Its not my fault…No” She stuttered and finally dashed out.
Rowen who was still hearing this, allowed his misty eyes bring out tears.
AT THE HOSPITAL**
DAYS LATER**
“She’s the Tasha?” Rowen asked.
The doctor nodded.
“When she heard about the accident. She was about to commit suícide but she was saved”
Rowen sighed and took out the jewelry box he saw in his twin’s pocket before incinerating him.
He looked at it and sighed again.
The doctor and Rowen took glances at a weak Tasha who laid on the bed.
“Shes pregnant” The doctor suddenly said.
“Wh…at?” Rowen stuttered.
“She doesn’t know yet. If she thinks and worry too much. A miscarriage might happen to her. Her mind is so restless. Its triggerring her health”
“What can I do? I don’t want her poor baby to die” He shivered.
The doctor sighed.
“Can you stand as your twin for a while…and stay with her for the main time”
“I can’t. No. I’ve a wife”
The doctor walked closer. He was actually the twin’s bestfriend.
“You know your wife caused her own husband-to-be death. She even told you a lie, saying she drunkingly hit him when she didn’t even drink?”
“Keep shut” Rowen warned.
“At least, for Tasha’s baby. Stay with her. If she gives birth, Tell her everything. If she wants to díe, Its fine. Just for her baby”
“Gosh!!! So, what’s next?”
“You should keep an eye on her in case she tries doing something to herself again. Also, keeping her closer will make her not suspect you’re a twin. You will know her movements and motives”
“Hmm??”
“To do that, make her your secretary”
“What!!”
“You’ve no choice”
“My workers know I’m married”
“Then, plead with them to play along. Tell them your twin diéd and she isn’t aware. You’re just doing this for the baby. Beg them to keep it a secret. Tasha will feel better again for a few months. Let her just feel happiness again…for a short while”
Rowen breathed deeply and tears fell down his eyes. He looked at Tasha.
“What am I gonna do? Its getting complicated”
★ END OF FLASHBACK ★
Lucy gasped, tears flowing down.
“Chill, okay?” Rowen muttered, sadly.
“I’m sorry” She weakly said.
“Actually, I wasn’t drunk that day. What happened was….
★ FLASHBACK ★
Lucy was happily driving that day when she noticed her vision was suddenly blurry.
She couldn’t see a d@mn thing.
That was the first time it was happening. She used to notice pains in his eyes but since it wasn’t that consistent, she ignored it totally.
“What happening? Why…why can’t I
see a thing??” She stammered.
She stepped on the car brakes but noting happened. The brakes failed.
“What happening! This can’t be happening!! Please!!” She cried.
She was driving any how now. She was really scared and tension allowed her not to think straight.
Before she could know what was happening, she hit something or maybe somebody.
Her head hit the steering wheel and she whimpered. She slowly took her face up and she saw that her vision was back to normal but…
Someone was on the floor, maybe de@d or at the brink of de@th.
“No…Please, no. Please, whoever you are. stay alive. I’ll save you” She thought and ran out.
★ END OF FLASHBACK ★
“I suffer from amblyopia but I couldn’t tell you. We actually couldn’t tell each other anything in our marriage. We were trying to keep our perfect family firm and strong but we weren’t actually perfect” Lucy said, with teary voice.
“I guess, this is the end, Rowen. I’m sorry for kîlling your twin and his girlfriend. I’m…I’m so sorry” She cried.
Rowen held her close, crying too.
“Take care of Darren” She whispered in his ears.
“I love you, my perfect husband” She whispered and diéd finally.
“No oo oo!!” He screamed, crying, still holding her close to his body.
10 MINUTES LATER**
All the côrpses were taken away and discarded as usual.
Eunice walked to the 4 with a smile.
“Congratulations, You all have won. You 4. Rowen. Leah. Helen and Fat Joe” She clapped looking at the furious and sad faces around her.
“Why are you doing this!!” He growled.
“You wanted me to help your commany? I made it so. You’ve played well, Rowen” Mr Harrisburg came into view, suddenly.
“It was fun, no doubt” He added with a smile.
“It was fun?? You watched us diéd and it was fun?? What’s so fun there? We lost our family!! Friends!! Loved ones…So, why-
“Get them our of here” Harrisburg grinned and left.
“Yes sir” Eunice bowed and signalled to the game conductors who came forward and grabbed them.
“Now, let’s get you out of here, should we?”Euince smirked.

“So, we were in the ship, all this while? Helen asked, as the boat which they were in, flowed gently.
“This is really a game of survival of the fittest” Rowen muttered.
“It was tragic indeed” Leah cried.
Suddenly, the huge ship which was at the far end of the sea exploded.
“What just happened???” Rowen widened his eyes.
Fat Joe smirked.
“I did that. I ain’t a game engineer for nothing. I’ve been creating a bomb in there for days. It finally worked. Nice” He said.
“Wow. I guess they didn’t survive the game we set up for them” Helen clenched her fist.
“This is the end? Leah looked at them.
“Hmm…Let’s go back to where we belong. Home” Rowen said, weakly and a loud jamming sound erupted, then the scene darkened immediately.

Please. You guys can continue this story if you want in your mind. You can make it happy too. This is the end here. Can’t go on, swears. I’m getting writer’s block already and I’ve only few engagement plus too much ghost members in this story so I need to stop now. Ignore all plot holes if you don’t mind.
This story is really dark and a tragedic one, no doubt. We have to come across this kind of story once a while so nobody should bash or throw shades at me.
