Chapter twenty-nine

“Lord Cyrus, did you see the both of them? Are they doing fine?”, Emily, ruby and Liam asked curiously.
“They are well, you don’t have to worry. We have to stop talking about them, they are not coming back here.”, He said and went to his room.
“There is no use worrying about them, they won’t remember me anyway, it’s better I stop seeing them.”

Harley woke up all sweaty, this was the third time, she was having a nightmare of some academy and a particular guy.
She wondered what was happening and who the guy was.
The necklace on her neck was on his neck but later, it disappeared from his neck.
“Could it be that he gave me this necklace?”
“But who is he to be and why do I have the necklace?”
“You will be late for school.”, Granny said and she stood up.

“Why do you look so pale?”, Harley’s friend with short hair asked.
“You haven’t been looking fine since yesterday.”, The long haired added.
“Do you know any academy called shang chi?”, She asked.
“Wait why? It is the supernaturals, those with superpowers.”, They replied.
“Then why I am dreaming of that place? Why does it look like I am connected to that place? What is happening to me?”, Harley asked ruffling her hair.
“You don’t superpower or do you?”
“Of course I don’t, I don’t know why I keep thinking of that place. Give me the address of the place.”, She asked.
“You plan on going there? You won’t be allowed to enter if you are not their kind.”
“I have to find out something.”, She replied.

Harley collected the address from her friends and after school, she found herself on the way to the academy.
From the gate, she knew how tight the security would be then she decided to go through the fence.
She sneaked into the place as if she has lived here.
She found herself going to the hall and everyone’s eyes landed on her.
She looked around confused, why were they looking at her like that.
“Harley!”, Ruby called as she ran towards us, then Emily and Liam joined.
“Do you remember now?”, They asked but she remained mute.
“She won’t remember anything, don’t waste your time and get back to training. Ryder see her off.”, Cyrus said and left but that was when Harley set her on him and slowly everything started coming back.
She started remembering everything from her first day here at shang chi academy till the last day when she was poisoned.
“I remember.”, She whispered but Emily heard.
“Do you remember? What are our names?”, She asked.
“Emily … Ruby and Liam.”, She replied.
“What is my power?”, Ruby asked happily.
“You read memories.”, She replied and they hugged her tightly.
“What about me?”, Liam asked.
“You can communicate to Ghosts.”, She replied.
“How is this possible?”, The superiors asked themselves.
“Why did I lose my memory? How come I am okay? I don’t feel my powers anymore, why did I leave the academy?”, Harley kept on throwing questions at them with tears in her eyes.
“I think lord Cyrus is the best person to answer this question, he is in his room.”
Harley again went through the window which scared Cyrus.
“What are you doing here? You are not supposed to be here.”, He yelled.
“I remember everything.”, She said in tears.
“That is not what I am asking you … Wait what? You can remember everything but how come?”, He asked as he went to touch her hand to see if he was dreaming.
“I don’t know — I just set my eyes on you and I started remembering everything.”, She said.
“What happened to me Cyrus? What happened? Was I not sick? What about to me? Why did I leave this academy?”, She asked with tears in her eyes.
“Hailey I missed you so much, I was scared that you will totally forget about me.”, He said as tears rolled down his eyes. He just couldn’t control the emotions he was feeling.
“Hailey? You were the only one who calls me that but one of my school mate called me Hailey.”, She stated.
“It was me.”, He replied and she was about to say something but he just shut her with a kiss.
“How come you remember everything? You are not supposed to remember.”, He said.
“You want me to forget about all our memories and everything that happened?”
“It’s not that — it is a long story.”, He replied.
“How have you been? Where is Alex?”, She asked but he didn’t say a word.
She gasped immediately.
“Don’t tell me that he …. He didn’t survive it — If only he didn’t use all of his strength to heal me, he also got tortured all because he wanted to save me, he tried to get me out and because he kept your body. I didn’t expect him not to survive it, he was really good to me.”, She said as she teared up.
Cyrus couldn’t help but to chuckle. His dramatic girlfriend is back.
“Alex is alive, he isn’t dead.”, He said and she gasped then replaced it with a frown.
“You should have told me first, I thought he was dead.”, She said with a big frown.
“You didn’t ask if he was dead or not, you just concluded.”, He replied and she rolled her eyes.
“Where is he then? Isn’t he here?”
“He is with his family and just like you, he doesn’t remember me or this academy. He is the one my godmothers h@të so much, I doubt if he will recover his memories.”, Cyrus said sadly.
“Lord Cyrus Alex is in the hall.”, Ryder said and both Cyrus and Harley rushed out.
“Alex.”, Harley couldn’t hide her excited when she quickly rushed to hug him.
Cyrus looked at him curiously and hoped he would really remember.
He wants Alex back into his life.
Alex looked around confused and his eyes settled on Cyrus.
“What are you people doing to me? I don’t know how I got here, I was on my way to get a job.”, He said and everyone’s excitement disappeared especially Cyrus, Harley and Emily.
