“What are you planning Max?” Another guy Jason asked
“I will challenge Lucifer to a gambling game if he loses I will stab him to death,” Jade replied smirking
“Are you high? You and I know that Lucifer never misses, he will never lose,” Jason who happens to be his brother said
Max and Jason are the sons of Lord Robert, a dangerous Mafia lord who was killed by Lucifer, since then Jade the eldest son vowed to avenge his father’s death
He is Lucifer’s enemy and he is trying anything possible to bring Lucifer down but none of his plans worked
“I know what am doing Jason! So are you with me or against me?” Max asked staring at his brother
“Am not with you, even father wasn’t able to defeat Lucifer, is it you that can defeat him?” Jason asked and he smirked
“Watch me,” Max said and left

Natalie was left alone since Lucifer and his sister were talking about business with the Don and Masters
She was so bored and tired, she don’t even know why they bring her along, she was still looking around when a lady walked up to her
“Hey, you’re Lucifer’s Bride right?” The lady said and she nodded
“Yeah, am Natalie and you,” she offered a handshake
“Iris, Lord Max’s wife,” She replied gently and shook Natalie’s hand
Natalie stared at her confusedly
“Lord Max is the person that hosts this meeting,” Iris added
“Oh, I understand better now,” Natalie replied
“Hope you’re not having a hard time with Lucifer? He can be unpredictable sometimes and don’t ever get pregnant for your good,” Iris said and Natalie shook her head negatively
“Am doing just fine,” she replied
“What did you mean by I shouldn’t get pregnant? Aren’t couples supposed to have kids?” Natalie known asked, she was confused
“Because I have heard so many things about him, Lucifer can be dangerous and he doesn’t have a heart, so always use protection or take pills for your good,” Iris replied, confusing her more
Natalie raises a brow
“But what did he have to do with pregnancy? What will happen if I become pregnant?” Natalie asked curiously
“Because he….” That was Interrupted by a maid
“Sorry to interrupt,” the maid said gently
She placed a tray with ÇOçktails in their front and gave Natalie a strawberry ÇOçktail while Iris was given a blueberry
“I don’t like blueberry,” Iris said after the maid left
“Here, you can have mine,” Natalie replied, they switched drinks
Natalie kept hers on the table beside her while Iris drank half of hers, shortly she started feeling hotness in her stomach
Iris made to ignore it but the hotness was too much, Iris hold her tummy tightly and let out a scream
“Argh!!” She screamed, her breathing quickened and a wipe of sweat dropped from her face
“Iris, are you okay?” Natalie asked, she touched Iris’s shoulder and her temperature was very high
Iris made to talk but the pain in her stomach was too much, she stood up and take a step forward then she suddenly falls. her mouth covered with blood
Natalie couldn’t believe her eyes, the drink they gave her was poisoned. But By who? Who did she offend in here? Does that mean that she would have been dead?
Natalie couldn’t move as she watch Iris who was laying lifelessly on the floor, she was lost staring at Iris when a guard grabbed her hand, dragging her to where only he knows
She was too shocked to say a word, who did she offend? Who wants her dead? Why her of all people? So she could have been the one laying lifelessly down there if not for Iris
“You killed my wife,” Max said staring angrily at her
The guards pushed her down and she’s falls hurting her knees
“You just broke the code and death will be paid with death,” Max yelled, he was filled with rage
She opened her mouth to talk but no word comes, she looked around for Lucifer but he was nowhere to be found, even his sister was nowhere
She was left all by herself, the person standing before her looks like a tiger ready to devour
“Am talking to you,” Max yelled and slapped her hard across the face giving her a cut on her lip
She falls and tears came rolling down
“What did she do to you? You break the rules by and killed her,” Max yelled and grabbed her hair roughly pulling her up, he then slapped her with the back of his palm and she falls again
Her mouth was covered with blood, and she couldn’t shout or talk. Only tears were rolling down from her eyes
Max went to her and grabbed her neck then he pinned her on the wall choking her, She started hitting his hand but he tighten his grip
“Is this how am going to die? I did nothing wrong instead they were the ones trying to kill me,” Natalie wondered
Her eyes turned red, and endless tears were streaming down, she couldn’t breathe and she might die at anytime
Max tightened his grip on her neck, his nails pairing with her skin
“How dare you kill my wife!” Max yelled and Made to slap her again but a strong hand blocked it
“How dare you dare her!!!” Came the cold voice of……
