❤Tracy’s Pov?
I checked the time for the umpteenth time, it’s getting late already.
“Can you drive a little faster?” I said to the driver
I’ll just show up at Derrick’s house so it won’t seems as if I’m ignoring him or something. After all, he was the first person to ever defend me in BHS and he us a great friend too.
My phone rang, it’s Tyler. Should I pick it up? what should I tell him?
I picked the call on the last ring
“Tracy” he called with worry giving way to his word
“Where are you?” he asked
“I’m on my way home,I’ll be back soon” I replied
“Are you okay? should I come pick you up?”
I shook my head negatively as if he could see me
“I’m fine, see you soon” I rushed on my words hanging up immediately
“We are here,ma’am” The driver said screeching the car to a halt
I paid him the fare before alighting from the cab. I stared at the house in front of me, not bad.
I ranged the doorbell and waited for a while but I got no reply. Is his condition that worse?
I pushed the door open and went in

“Derrick” I called out closing the door behind me
“Hello.. Anybody home” I said again more loudly
Just the Derrick cane out from a place I presume to be the kitchen with a cup of coffee in his hand
“Tracy” he said with a surprised expression
He obviously did not expect me but that’s what friends do right? they are always there for each other having each others back.
I scanned him from head to toe he doesn’t look like someone who is sick or something but the way he sounded over the phone
“Are you okay?” I managed to ask
“I’m fine,I didn’t even know you were gonna come. Thanks for coming, please have your seat” he said with a bright smile
“Is anything wrong? you sounded sick”
“I wanted your attention which I got,I need to talk to you” he said gesturing in me to sit down with his hand
Is he seriously kidding me right now? how can he call me for a chat? at this hour?
“I need to go now, we can talk tomorrow” I said and meant to leave but he held my hand
“Please, can’t you stay for an hour?” he said, desires clouding his face
“I can’t stay, I’ll come over tommor, we’ll probably talk better” I said
Our faces were now inches apart. He pulled me to himself, slamming my back on the wall
“I’ve always loved you, why can’t it be me?. Why did you chose him?” He muttered
“Wh..at…do you mean?” I stuttered
“I love you, Tracy”He said leaning close
” Wh… at are.. you.. doing?”
“Let me prove my love to you” he said. I was feeling his breathe on my face
I pushed him away angrily, this is getting to much
“What were you trying to do?” I questioned with anger blazing in my eyes
“Tracy”
“I think I’ve allowed you enough, why will you try to kiss me? I’m someone’s girlfriend for crying out loud!! I like you as a friend not has my boyfriend, is that hard to grab!!?”
“I don’t..
I glared at him before rushing out. I got outside panting heavily, why would Derrick do that? I trusted him..
I sighted Tyler from afar making my eyes widened in shock

” Is this your house?”He asked
“Tyler..” I trailed moving closer
“You said you were coming home, why are you in …..Where is this place?” he said looking at Derrick’s house
Just then Derrick came out
“You came to Derrick? I guess this is your new home” He said , obviously hurt.
“It’s not like that” I said hitting my bottom lips
He faced Derrick before walking away
“Tyler” I called going after him
“Babe” I said back hugging him
“Let go” He said calmly
“I have no intention of coming here, Derrick called me, he said that he needed someone to talk to. I had to come see him… I’m sorry, I was stupid. I should have called you, I should have tod you” I whimpered not letting go of him
“Fine, can you leave me now?” he said
I removed my hands from his waist slowly. He got on his bike and wore his helmet
Is he going to leave me now??
“Aren’t you getting in?” He asked facing me
I smiled hoping on the bike

“Thanks, I won’t do that again”I said with my head on his back, tightening my hold on his waist
” Have not forgiven you yet? It just doesn’t feels right to leave you behind”He said
“I’m sorry” I pouted
I was hoping he will say something but sadly he didn’t. What have I done??

“I’m here” I said with my head bowed
Mom actually called me to her room
“What was that!” she stated
I didn’t even raise my head not to talk of replying her
“Why did you lie to me?”
“I didn’t intend to lie to you but you don’t take no for an answer” I answered
“And you still went ahead to make friends with that girl? your dad’s election is around the corner”
“I’m sorry, Mom. I can’t leave Tracy,she is my only friend”
Mom closed her eyes for a while inhaling hard. What is she gonna do now? send me to the states? remove me from BHS? have me homeschooled?
“Fine, go ahead and be friends with her” Sge said after a while
I stared at her in disbelieve, is she serious?
