” What’s happening here?” She glared at the twins who had been smiling from ear to ear
” Aren’t you gonna let your guest in?” Kylie asked entering the house
” Oh, yeah!! Please come in ” she ushered him him
” Thanks..” Ryan said, walking into the house
” I like this guy, even though he’s rich and cute, he didn’t see her home as trash.. Kylie whispered to her sister
” I don’t even know who to vote for.. Jeffrey my sweetheart or Ryan the cute guy I just met?” Kira sighed, seating next to Violet
” You didn’t tell me you were coming and you didn’t call too ” Violet said
” I don’t know why I came either ” he replied
” Huh? ” Violet and the girls said at once
” I mean… I came because I wanted us to study for the competition ” he said quickly
” And How did you find my place?”
” I tracked your location with my phone..” he replied
” He’s so cute..” Kylie whispered to Kira
” I know right, But Why isn’t he smiling?” Kira whispered back
” Maybe he becomes ugly when he smiles” Kylie whispered
” That’s understandable though “. Kira nodded her head in agreement
” But I thought you never wanted us to…. nevermind ” Violet laughed awkwardly
” I will get you some refreshments then ” she stood up
” Bye Violet, Mom would be so mad if she sees us outside, we only came to show him your home” Kira said, standing up too
” What?!! Why now? You both can’t leave!! ” Violet gritted out inaudible while glaring at them
” Do I make you uncomfortable?” Ryan asked
” Uncomfortable? Of course not ” she laughed awkwardly glaring at the twins once more
” It’s nice meeting you ” Kira did a little bow
” Same ” Ryan smiled briefly and Kira choked on her saliva and started coughing non-stop
She suddenly went to him cupped his face into her hands while he just stared at her with widened eyes and a confused expression
” Do that once more please… Smile for me ” she said, blinking continuously while her sister facepalm herself
” Kira what are you doing? That’s Violet’s guest” Kylie whispered yelled but right now her sister wasn’t hearing anything as she stared at Ryan dreamingly
Kylie and Violet successfully pulled her away from him after a while before dragging her out of the house
” Did I just found love? Am I in love?” Kira asked, placing her hands on her chest
” No, you’re hungry ” Kylie hit her head hard, bringing her back to reality
” Ouch, why would you do that?” Kira whined
” Is that how you were supposed to behave in front of a guest?” Kylie scolded
” it’s not my fault too… he’s just to handsome….. I vote for him with all my heart”
” You’re a bad friend..” Kylie said
” Why? I Didn’t asked Violet to reject Jeff or did I?” Kira rolled her eyes as they walked back to their home
” Those mosquitoes..” Violet ruffled her hair before turning to Ryan
” I’m very sorry about that…” she said and he nodded slowly
” I’ll get you something” she said and entered the kitchen
She came back seconds later with a plate on snacks which she placed infront of him
” Is this you?” He asked, showing her a picture frame which was with him and her eyes widened
It was a picture her grandma had taken of her when she was just two. She had ice cream all over her face and her expression in the photo was kinda funny
” How did you get that?” She said and made to take it from him but he raised it up
” I’m not done looking at it ” he said, raising it even higher
” No, not this one ” she jumped up, stumbling on her legs and was about falling but he was quick to catch her
A gasp escaped Violet’s mouth at their closeness. She looked up at him, locking gaze with him. They both kept staring at each other, none of them ready to break the eye contact
” Ahem..” they heard someone clear their throats
They both faced the direction immediately
” Grandma..” Violet took few steps away from him
” You’re back ” she walked to her grandma, collecting the bag of groceries from her
” Good evening ma’am “.. Ryan bowed
” Oh my, how are you?” Granny Pamela walked up to him, pulling him into a hug which he reciprocated slowly
” What brought this good looking lad to our home?” Granny Pamela asked pulling him to a seat
“We’re supposed to represent our school in a competition tomorrow and I came here so we could study together since she came to my place yesterday”
” Is that so?” Granny Pamela smiled and he nodded
” You made dinner?” She turned to Violet who stood not far from them
” Yes grandma. I did some dishes”
” You two should eat something, I’ll be in my room. I’m so tired and need to rest” her granny said, walking into her room
” I had set the table before you came…. If you don’t mind, you can join me” Violet said, walking to the dining table while he followed behind .
They both sat opposite each other but none of them could look at the other
The atmosphere was awkward and uncomfortable between them
” I.. ” they both said at the Same time
” You go first..” they said again and silence followed after
” Let’s just eat..” Violet said and he nodded awkwardly, picking up his spoon
