“Hope the cops didn’t touch you or harmed you?”
“No, I’m fine… They didn’t”

“Alright, but why were you arrested in the first place?”
“I was accused wrongly and got me arrested but when they found out I was innocent, they had me released”
He lied.

A happy smile curved out of her lips. She stood up from her office chair and rushed to hug Ethan surprisedly.
Ethan hugged him back slowly.
“Now, I can say you are truly okay”
She said.
“Wow.. you are worried about me? ”
He asked.
“Yeah, I was… But am glad you are okay”

She replied. Ethan looked at her face.

Lauren shut his mouth with her middle finger.
“It’s not what you think, am only doing this cos I can’t watch and lose my best employee of Linde Plc so far”
She said and walked back to her office chair.

Ethan asked as he smiled.

He asked looking straight at her face. He held her chin to make her look straight at him.
Lauren tries to avoid eye contact with him but it’s unavoidable. Ethan kept a straight face with her. He could see the love in her eyes.
