EVENING, 6:30PM***
Hailey shut her computer and arranged the table. After doing that, she carried her bag and stood up from the chair. She was already done with the day’s work.
Charles came out of the office and walked past her without exchanging words with her.
Somehow, she felt hurt by his actions. She shook the thought off and walked to the elevator.
“I don’t have to bother about him,” she mumbled to herself.
Before she could get to the elevator, Charles had already entered and the door had already closed so she had no other choice but to wait and take another one.

Charles came out of the company and met Jace waiting for him beside his(Charles) car.
He walked to him.
“Why are you here? Why didn’t you come inside?” He asked.
“I knew you were gonna be out soon,” Jace said.
“Are you less busy now?” He asked.
“Why?”
“Let’s go to the club, it’s been a long time since we had fun, isn’t it?”
Charles was about to refuse when he saw Hailey coming out of the company.
“Yea. Let’s go, it’s been long since I Füçk some bítches” he said loudly, making sure Hailey heard him.
Hailey stopped walking when she heard that. She glanced at their direction.
“It’s your secretary,” Jace said when he sighted Hailey.
He was about to calm her when Hailey walked away.
“What’s wrong? Did something happen between the both of you?” He asked.
Charles smirked.
“Let’s go,” he said.
They both entered the car the driver drove off with Charles’ bodyguards driving behind them.
“So, tell me about last night,” Jace said.
“Nothing happened,” Charles said.
“Are you kidding me?” Jace asked in disbelief.
“I’m not”
“Wow! That’s surprising. You didn’t Füçked her?” He asked.
Chase glared at him.
“Don’t talk about Hailey in that manner” he warned.
“She’s no Bîtch” he said.
“Wait… I was only kidding, okay? You don’t have to look at me that way” Jace laughed. He just loves teasing his friend.
“How’s the trip gonna be? You shouldn’t have chosen someone else but you chose your secretary. Is there something behind it?” He asked.
Charles shook his head.
“Just shut your mouth” he muttered.
Jace laughed
After driving for minutes, the car stopped at Jace’s house and he looked at Charles with a confused expression.
“What are we doing at my house?” He asked.
“You really need a lot of rest, don’t you?” Charles asked.
“Don’t worry, just go and sleep,” he said.
“Aren’t we going to the club?” Jace asked.
Charles chuckled. He just said that because of Hailey, he has no intention of going to the club or Füçking any girls.
“Not anymore” he opened the car door and shoved Jace out of the car.
“Bye buddy, see you in three days time” he winked.
He closed the car and the car zoomed off instantly.
Jace’s mouth was wide open, he couldn’t even close it.

KELSO, BROOKLYN’S RESIDENCE***
Hailey was in her bedroom lying on the bed, she just finished having her shower.
Her mind went to Charles and Jace’s discussion and she bit her lips.
“Is he really going to the club?” She asked herself.
The image of Charles kissing and caressing another girl filled her mind and she slapped herself twice.
“Gosh, just what’s wrong with me? Why am I thinking this way?” She groaned.
The door opened and Jaime popped his head inside.
“Are you busy?” He asked.
“Didn’t you learn how to knock?” Hailey asked.
Jaime smiled sheepishly and entered the room.
“Don’t you have something to say to me?” He asked.
“Like what?”
“Last night. I saw you” he wiggled his brow teasingly.
“What are you saying?”
“We saw you kissing that young man outside,” he said.
“Wh… What?!”
“Mom and Dad were there. Gosh, that must have been so embarrassing” Jaime shook his head.
Hailey couldn’t believe her ears. They saw her?
“Is he your boyfriend? Tell me, who’s he? Is he handsome like me? No, I bet I’m much more handsome than him” Jaime said.
“Get out!” Hailey screamed.
“What? I’m not goi…”
Before he could finish his word, Hailey stood up and dragged him out of the room.
“Mom, Hailey is gonna kill me!” Jaime shouted as Hailey threw him out of the room.
“Don’t ever come into my room again” she warned. She closed the door and threw herself on the bed, burning her face on the pillow.
They saw her? Including her Dad??
There was a knock on the door and Hailey groaned in frustration.
“Jaime, get lost or I’m gonna kill you!” She shouted.
“Are you both at it again?” She heard her mom’s voice.
She quickly got up from the bed, her cheeks red in embarrassment. She couldn’t believe her mom saw her and Charles yesterday.
“Hi, mom,” she muttered awkwardly.
“You left early today, I didn’t even get the chance to speak with you,” Leah said.
She sat on the bed and Hailey sat beside her.
“I’m sorry, I was late,” she said.
“It’s fine. That young man of yesterday, who’s he to you?” She asked.
Hailey bit her lips.
“You don’t have to be shy, you’re old enough to have a boyfriend,” she said.
Hailey looked at her.
“All your life, you’ve been working yourself out making sure we’re never lacking. You never had time for yourself, you don’t even have any friends, you don’t have any boy….”
“Mom…”
“I’m only telling the truth. You’re alone, Hailey. It’s high time to give a chance for love, you need to enjoy yourself and know what it feels to be loved” Leah said.
“And that young man, he seems to be the right person for you. He helped us to pay our debt to Marco and…”
“What are you saying? Charles did what?” Hailey asked.
“The young man I told you who paid our debt was him. He seems to be a nice person”
Leah’s voice sounded far to Hailey’s ear as she tried to put what she just heard together.
Charles paid her parents’ debt? How? How did he know their house?.
How did he know about that?
“My baby, I want the best for you. So please, do what you know is right” Leah concluded.
“And tomorrow, I’m gonna pack some food so you can give it to him before you leave for your trip. Goodnight, Hailey” Leah pecked her forehead before leaving the room.
Hailey laid on the bed and hugged the pillow to herself.
She didn’t know what to feel at that moment? Angry or mixed feelings?

NEXT DAY***
Hailey was already ready for the trip, her luggages was packed already.
“Here, give it to him and send my regards to him” Leah said as she handed a lunchbox to her.
“Is there really a need for this?” Hailey asked.
“Yea, sure”
Hailey sighs.
“Be careful there okay? I’m really gonna miss you” Sebastian said.
“I’ll be back in no time, Dad”
They heard a horn outside.
“Seems the driver is here, bye Hailey”
“Bye!” Hailey pecked their cheeks respectively and waved at them.
She carried her bag and dragged her traveling bag with her other hand.
When she got out of the house, her heart was already beating fast with the hope of seeing Charles again.
The car door opened and to her disappointment, Lewis came out of the car.
“Boss asked me to pick you up, he’s waiting at the airport,” Lewis said.
Hailey felt sad. Was he avoiding her?
She should be the one angry at him, not the other way round!.
