Adelaide started packing all her clothes,not like they are many.
“I will make sure I pass the test and get accepted into the palace no matter what,I’m going to pass” She continue murmuring inwardly until she was done

NEXT MORNING**
Adelaide opened the door and looked left and right,it was still dark and it’s about five. Since the head maid warned her already,she’s not ready to be kicked out.
She tiptoed out of the house with her small bag and ran off
She was still running when she saw Eleanor
“Elean?” She called
“I was on my way to call you,I am going to apply as a maid at the palace” Eleanor smiled
“Really? Does that mean we are both on our way to the palace now?” Adelaide smiled
“Wait,you’re going too? You finally decided to escape from your step mom?” Eleanor asked and Adelaide nodded
“Yes!!” Eleanor pulled her into a hug immediately
“Let’s hurry up,we have no time left”
They both started walking immediately

THE MINISTER’S HOUSE**
“Are you done?? Make sure you pack everything neatly” Yasmin said as she ordered the maids around
She’s the youngest daughter of the minister and she have a great affection toward King Lucian,though she’s quite close to him but Lucian never for once made an advance toward her. That doesn’t stop her from visiting the palace,since she’s always welcomed anytime she’s there
And today is not left out,she’s going to the palace and she’s preparing a gift for the king
“Here my lady” The maids dropped the wrapped gift
“Only two of you will go with me,I don’t want to make him uncomfortable” Yasmin said with red cheeks
“Yes my lady” The maids bowed watching as she continue checking herself out in the mirror,she was looking so beautiful,her long hair is her pride,she believes she has the longest hair in suidan and she’s the most beautiful maiden too
“I’m sure it won’t take him long anymore before he confess his love to me” She said to herself before turning back to the maids
“I’m not going to inform mother and father before leaving,so tell them I am going to visit the king if mother ask for me” She said
“Okay my lady”
“Good…Tiana and Rita,carry the bags,we are going right away” Yasmin said and walked out of the suite
Tiana and Rita immediately followed her

SUIDAN PALACE★MATILDA’S SUITE**
Matilda was sitting down,some maids polishing her finger nails while some doing her legs also.
It was silent until Matilda spoke up
“Why is the palace so lousy today?” She asked
“My lady,new Maids will be accepted into the palace today,they are all having their tests for now” her favorite maid Esmeralda answered
“Really? New maids? Is the king aware of this?” Matilda asked
“I’m not sure my lady” Another maid answered
“Hurry up,I’m going to check them” She said
“Yes my lady”

“Number 102,Adelaide. You have passed your final test” Head Maid Maggie said and Adelaide screamed happily
She jumped excitedly and mistakenly bumped into a body,she fell on her knees and her hand touched the lady’s legs
Immediately the other maids gasped
? It’s lady Yasmin
? She’s definitely in trouble
“Oh no! My lady I’m so sorry,punish me for I have sinned” Adelaide said immediately,her face buried to the ground
The first thing that caught Yasmin’s attention was Adelaide’s hair,she was sure it’s much more longer than her own which stopped on her backside,but Adelaide’s hair was almost the same length down to her knees.
Yasmin’s blood began to boil with anger immediately
“Look up!” She yelled
Adelaide looked up In fear and Yasmin almost lost her breath when she saw the beauty right in front of her
‘Where the h”ll did they get this witch from?’ She said inwardly
“My lady,I’m so sorry….” Before Adelaide could finish,a slap landed on her face and everyone gasped
“How dare you bump into me with that dirty body of yours?! How dare you!” Yasmin yelled
Adelaide broke into tears
“I’m sorry…I didn’t mean to..”
“Shut up! You deserve a better punishment…” Yasmin snapped and tried grabbing Adelaide’s hair.
“Stop” The cold voice said and immediately everyone moved back
Yasmin turned to see Lucian coming with his friend,Liam beside him.
Adelaide’s eyes are already blurry due to the tears but she looked up also and her eyes fell on the king,he wasn’t dressed like last night she saw him. This time,he was only looking simple,no crown,no bracelet or accessories that might make him appear as the king,but still he was looking so handsome and powerful.
She was staring at him even though he never glanced at her,his eyes are on Yasmin
“My King” Yasmin immediately moved closer to him
“That maid shouldn’t be allowed into the palace at all,I almost had an attack just because of her” Yasmin said and Adelaide sniffed,knowing fully well that she wouldn’t make it anymore,the king will definitely throw her out
“I will do that if I want to,you have no right to lay your hands on any palace maid Yasmin,that is disrespectful” King Lucian said and the maids gasped
“But my king….”
“Get up” Lucian said to Adelaide
“Thank you my king” Adelaide immediately stood up and Eleanor hugged her tightly
Yasmin bite her lips feeling embarrassed
And like that,King Lucian and Liam walked out together without taking another glance at Yasmin, leaving everyone in shock that the king supported Adelaide over Yasmin

Somewhere,Matilda and Esmeralda are watching the drama
“My lady,don’t you think it’s really rare and weird that the king took the maid’s side and not lady Yasmin?” Esmeralda asked
“Find out everything about that little witch” Matilda said,glaring at Adelaide angrily
“Sure my lady” Esmeralda smirked
