THRONE ROOM**
The king was seated on the throne while the chiefs seated on the chairs on the two sides
“You have something to discuss with me,why are you all quiet?” King Lucian asked
“That’s true your majesty” one of them said
“We only have two things to discuss with you and it involves the princess and you your majesty” he bowed
“What happened to the princess? I don’t think she’s been out of the palace for some days now or am I wrong?” King Lucian asked
“It’s an old trouble your majesty”
“According to the owner of the brothel,the last time the princess visited,she had left without dropping any pounds from the numbers of wines she had”
“In addition,she destroyed some and even slapped her when she tried to speak”
“The princess is really an handful your highness,but we were pleased when we heard she’s finally locked up”
“Who gave such annoying comment?? The princess locked up? Why would she be locked up when she committed no deadly crime?” King Lucian snapped and they all kept quiet
“I will send some people to clear the debts at the brothel and you should make sure you’re not part of those spreading fake news about her being locked up” He ordered
“We are sorry your majesty” The chiefs chorused
“What’s the other one?” King Lucian asked and they all kept quiet,talking to each other with their eyes
“I won’t get angry,speak up” King Lucian said
“Your majesty…..You’re Twenty eight”
“Yes??”
“According to the royal laws,a king should always have a queen by his side,no matter what……”
“I know where you’re going,and you can’t say I had no Queens at all” King Lucian cut in
“We understand,your majesty. We just want you to at least give it another try,we are sure it will work out this time. A heir should be produced….”
“Who said I’m dying soon?” Lucian asked
“What?!! Who would dare to say that?? We don’t mean it that way your majesty!”
King Lucian sighed
“If you’re not wishing me a sudden death,then skip talking about producing a heir. I never said I wasn’t going to have a queen,I’m still young” He said
“We know,that’s why we have some recommendations for you”
“Not again….I’m listening” King Lucian muttered
“Lady Yasmin,we heard you two are quite close….”
“I just said stop listening to rumors,who said we are close? We are not,take her out of the list” The king scoffed
“Then we have only one option now,it’s princess Liliana from Shalan kingdom”
King Lucian sighed
“I will have to think about it first before giving you a feedback” he said
“We will definitely wait your majesty!” They bowed
All of a sudden a woman rushed in,she was in tears as she immediately fell in front of the king, shocking everyone.
Carl entered and bowed
“I apologize for this,I tried chasing her away but she was adamant” he said as the woman kept on crying out loudly
“Woman,what happened?” King Lucian asked
“My king!!!! Please help!! My daughter is dying,,she’s dying!!!” She broke into more tears
“Is she sick?” King Lucian asked
“Yes my king…and I have no money to get her treated. Please help me,I don’t mind becoming a slave in the palace,please save my daughter” the woman cried and the chiefs sighed
King Lucian looked at Carl
“Take her away and get the royal physician on your way to her house to take care of her daughter” he said
“Yes your majesty” Carl said
“Oh my king!!! Thank you so much!! I will never forget this,,,,,I will never!!” The woman cried
“Let some maids take some food with you also” King Lucian said and the woman gasped before falling back on her knees
“May you live long!!! Thank you!!!” She cried
“It’s okay,you should return back to your daughter immediately,wipe your tears”
She got up and wiped her tears,she bowed before going out with Carl.

Court lady Maggie was walking with a bag in her hand when suddenly Adelaide ran to her and took the bag from her
“You will get tired if you do it all alone,where are we going?” Adelaide asked and the court lady smiled
“The grain field” She replied
“Wow,there’s a grain field in the palace!” Adelaide said out loudly
There was silence as they kept on walking until the large field came to view with some people dressed in sack clothes working hardly,both men and women. Some guards watching them
“They are slaves” The court lady said as if she was listening to her thoughts
“Slaves?” Adelaide asked,not taking her eyes from the people still working
“Yes,they are the captives from our attackers in the previous wars. Fortunately,Suidan warriors never loses a battle,after every fight,the people are held captive and brought to the palace. They work on the grain field which the king give to the citizens every full moon,especially to the family who lost their loved ones during the war….” the court maid explained
“Whoa,the king is so cool” Adelaide muttered
“Of course he is,He’s the best king Suidan will ever wish for. Even though he’s young,He’s intelligent and powerful” Court lady smiled
“How old is he?”
“Our King Was crowned at the age of twenty two and now he’s twenty eight”
“Wow,so cool” Adelaide nodded
“We are here to give the slaves some food,they need to eat to gain more strength,right?”
“Sure,court lady” Adelaide smiled and immediately the court lady called them
Adelaide helped her with distributing the food and water

KITCHEN**
Adelaide let out a loud groan as she finished a whole jug of water,it really took them a lot of time before they left the field. But she really had alot of fun also,she get to know more about the palace and the king especially,thanks to the court lady
“I’m so tired” She mumbled and itch her hair as she walked out of the kitchen
Just then,Esmeralda rushed to her,panting heavily
“What’s wrong?” Adelaide asked
“It’s Eleanor,she’s really sick and running some dangerous temperature” Esmeralda said and Adelaide’s eyes widened
“What?! Where is she??” She asked and tried running off but Esmeralda pulled her back
“We tried to get the royal physician but he was sent on an errand,so Eleanor told me you are good in mixing herbs right?”
“Oh yes,that’s right. But how do I get that? Won’t it be too late going to the market from here?” Adelaide asked worriedly
“You don’t have to go to the market,the palace garden is filled with different herbs you might want….”
“Then show me”
“Come with me”

GARDEN**
“Here….” Esmeralda said when they got to the garden
“Wow” Adelaide muttered at the enchanting look of the garden
It was filled with beautiful flowers,trees and fruits
“I will go back to check her,please hurry up” Esmeralda said
Adelaide nodded and watched as Esmeralda went.
She started going into the garden
“Ginseng leaf would be the perfect choice” She said to herself as she began searching
“Found you!” She said loudly when her eyes met with the herb leaf she’s looking for.
She immediately bent and started plucking the leaves
She was still there when suddenly a heavy plank of wood landed on her head hardly,immediately she fell on the ground unconsciously and her head began bleeding.
