MARKET SQUARE**
“Whoa,why is everywhere more beautiful this night?” Lisa said,grinning ear to ear as they walked together.
Carl was silent all through,he only walked next to her with his sword in his right side.
“Wow,look at that” Lisa pointed at the fish cake shop
“Let’s buy some” She smiled cutely and immediately ran off
Carl sighed and followed her
“How much for one stick?” Lisa asked the seller
“Half a pound” She replied
“Wow,isn’t that too expensive?” Lisa’s eyes widened
“What do you mean? You dress so beautiful but you Can’t afford half a pound?” The woman Snapped and Lisa frowned
Carl looked away trying to control his laughter
“I will buy ten sticks!” Lisa suddenly said out loudly and Carl turned to them in shock
The woman was also shocked
“Ten….ten…ten sticks?” She stuttered and Lisa smiled,fanning herself with her hand
“Yes,ten” She smiled
“Yes My Lady” The woman immediately said and started packing
“She just called me lady because I’m rich” Lisa whispers to Carl and he smiled
“Here my lady” The woman handed the nylon to Lisa and she paid
She left with Carl and started eating as they walk
“You can’t follow me without eating” She said,giving a stick to Carl
“I’m fine” Carl muttered
“Trust me,it’s delicious” Lisa said with her mouth full
Carl sighed and took the stick from him
She suddenly coughed
“Wait here,I will get you water” Carl said and she nodded
Carl walked to a store where water is being sold,he bought the water and returned to Lisa
“Thank you” Lisa smiled and took it from him
“Thief!!!!! Catch them!!!! Thief!!!!” They heard some women’s voice and immediately two men ran past them
Carl’s eyes widened
He immediately turned to Lisa
“My Princess,stay here. I will be right back” He said and without waiting for her response,he ran off after the so called thieves.
One of them looked back and was shocked to see Carl running after them,immediately they increased their pace.
Everyone kept on screaming and running out of the way for them as the men was pushing and destroying things while trying to escape.
Carl suddenly climbed on a roof and continue running after them while watching them down,soon he outrun them and then jumped down right in front of them,they turned and tried running off.
Carl kicked their legs at the same time,they stumbled and fell.
The men stood up at once and brought out a stick ready to fight him,
Carl scoffed and removed his sword from the sheath
The people watching screamed and moved back.
The men’s eyes went wide when they saw the royal stamp on the sword
They fell on their knees immediately
“Please forgive us!!” They cried
“You shouldn’t have steal from old women in the first place” Carl said and returned his sword inside the sheath thinking of what to do to them
“Commander!” Four guards rushed to them and Carl looked up
“Why are you here?” He asked
“The queen ordered us to follow you and the princess” They replied
“Good,take these idiots to the palace and lock them up,don’t say a word to the king,I will do it myself” He said
“Yes commander!” They chorused at once and dragged the two men up
Carl collected the money purse they stole before walking back
? Wow,he’s so amazing
? Is he a prince?
? He’s so handsome!
Carl scoffed as he listened to them,he finally got to Lisa and she immediately ran to him
“Carl! Are you okay? Are you hurt?” She asked worriedly
“I’m fine” He said and turned to the woman whose purse was stolen
“Here” He gave the purse to her and she gasped
“Thank you so much!!” She said
Carl nodded and turned to Lisa
“Let’s go”
Lisa nodded and they walked away

PALACE**
Adelaide groaned as she stretched,fortunately they were able to finish everything
“My king,aren’t we so lucky? We finished them all” She smiled and Lucian nodded
“All thanks to you” he said and Adelaide smiled again
She yawned
“Right,you should go and sleep,you must be tired” King Lucian said
“You should rest too my king” Adelaide said
“Yes I will”
“Good night my king” Adelaide bowed before walking out
King Lucian smiled,checking out the edicts Adelaide wrote,it was perfect. Thanks to her the stress wasn’t too much.
“She’s more useful than I thought” he muttered before standing up
Matilda came in
“Good evening my king” She bowed and walked closer
“Were you in the palace all day?” King Lucian asked
“Yes my king,I didn’t leave my suite today” she smiled and Lucian nodded
“I was about to sleep,let’s talk tomorrow” He said and went in
Matilda bite her lips,good thing she didn’t use the pill today.
She sighed and went out of the chamber

“Thank you Carl,good night” Lisa waved when they got to her suite
Carl bowed shortly and walked away
Lisa smiled and went in,she was shocked to meet Queen Sofia waiting for her
“Mother….”
“Where are you coming from?” Queen Sofia snapped
“Just had a little walk,I went with Carl and trust me I didn’t drink” Lisa smiled and Queen Sofia exhaled

NEXT MORNING★MAIDS QUARTER**
? Have you guys seen the new Guards?
? They are so hot but there was one who look like a complete angel
? I didn’t believe he was a guard,he was too handsome!!
Eleanor smiled as she listened to the maids gossiping among themselves
The angel they are talking about is Kai
She was also surprised when she saw him this morning as one of the new guards for the upcoming Ball night.
Why would he become a guard when he need to return to the academy soon??
She was still thinking when the maids murmurs increased,getting Eleanor’s attention.
She looked up only to see Kai walking
? Goodness!!
? Is he a human?!
? How can he be this handsome??
? Somebody hold me,I’m going to faint
Kai didn’t spare them a glance until he saw Eleanor,he immediately smiled
“Eleana” He called and waved his hand,smiling with his bright eyes
“My name is Eleanor not Eleana” Eleanor scoffed
“It’s the same” He smiled and grabbed her hand
“Come with me”
“Where are we going?”
“I need to talk to you” Kai replied and took her away
? Did you see his smile?!!!!!
? Did he come here to take away our breath??
? He’s too handsome!!
? My poor heart!!
Esmeralda was also staring at Kai from another side,she couldn’t take her eyes from him
‘How can he be so handsome??’
‘Who the h*ll is he to make my heart race this way?’
She touched her chest watching as Kai dragged Eleanor out

“Kai! Where are you taking me to?”
He finally stopped and faced her
“Where’s Adelaide?” Kai asked and Eleanor grinned
“Is it what I’m thinking? Did you come here because of her?” She asked and Kai nodded
“Kai! Are you even serious? How can the son of a rich man become a guard just for love?” She laughed
“This is the least I can do,,,but where is she?”
“Be patient okay? You will see her soon,she’s probably in the king’s Chamber”
“King’s Chamber? For what?” Kai asked immediately
“She’s the king’s maid,bring your voice low” Eleanor roll her eyes
Just then,she sighted Jimmy coming
She immediately smiled and bowed
Jimmy stared at her and then Kai,he ignored her and walked away
‘Seriously? The maids are allowed to date here in the palace? Is that even right?” He scoffed

THE KING’S CHAMBER**
Adelaide watched as the maids wore the king a royal robe,she was standing on one side,as the king’s maid,she will have to stay with him every time.
King Lucian’s eyes went to Adelaide as she was lost in thought
“That’s enough” He suddenly stopped the maids
“You can go,she will do the rest” the king said and Adelaide looked at him in shock
“Yes your majesty” The maids bowed and left at once leaving just Adelaide and King Lucian
“What are you waiting for?” He looked at her
“Ohh…” She immediately moved closer and started helping with the buttons which look expensive to her
She handled it with so much care that King Lucian was forced to smile
‘Is she acting or she’s like this?’ He thought,staring at her pure Face,the flower in her hair last night was still there.
Adelaide got to the last upper button and their eyes met. She looked away
After she was done,she looked at his hair and stood on her toes to arrange it with her hand but she staggered and almost fell
King Lucian immediately grabbed her waist and she released a loud gasp before she swallowed hard
She was crazily shocked,nervous,confused and at the same time she was blushing.
“Are you okay?” Lucian asked,his hand still around her waist
“Yes….yes my king” Adelaide replied and he let go of her,staring at her flushed cheeks.
Adelaide bite her bottom lip trying not to look up
She was finally saved when Carl came in
“I will take my leave now” She immediately bowed
Before Lucian could reply,she already ran out which made him chuckle
“Cute” he muttered
“Thank you your majesty” Carl bowed
“I wasn’t talking to you” King Lucian scoffed

As Adelaide left the king’s chamber,she ran into Kai and her eyes went wide
“Kai?!” She called looking surprised
“Adelaide!” Kai also called excitedly and immediately hugged her tightly,lifting her up in the process
**
King Lucian left the chamber with Carl,but he stopped immediately he saw Kai and Adelaide
“Your majesty?” Carl called
Lucian stared at them for such a long time,especially Kai’s hands around Adelaide’s waist
“Your majes……”
“Who is he?” King Lucian cut Carl off
“He’s one of the new guards your majesty”
“And he’s already following a lady?” He frowned
“I guess they know each other,seeing the way Lady Adelaide is also happy to see him” Carl said and Lucian scoffed
“Call her and tell her to stay in my chamber until I am back” He said and Carl faced him
“But my king,you’re going to take long before returning to the palace….”
“Exactly why I’m saying this,tell her not to step out of there or she will be greatly punished” King Lucian scoffed and walked away leaving Carl in total confusion
