KING’S CHAMBER**
Adelaide keep humming some sounds to herself as she walked round the chamber,sometimes she will sit down,then lay on the couch,she would stare out of the window and then walk. It’s been hours already and it’s getting close to evening and yet the king wasn’t back.
It was so boring and too quiet,she just wondered why the king would give such order. Minutes ago,a maid brought her food,she hasn’t touched it yet.
Her tummy suddenly made a noise,she sighed and walked to the dinning. She sat down and opened the food
She smiled and took the chopsticks,she started eating and silly her was imagining the king beside her while they eat together.
She suddenly remembered how she had ate the King’s food all in the name of tasting,she laughed out loud and hit her head
“Adelaide,you’re so embarrassing.” She said with her mouth full
After some minutes,she was done eating. She left the dinning again and continue pacing,soon she was feeling drowsy. She gently laid on the couch and closed her eyes to take a nap.

MARKET**
“Wait here” Amara said to the two maids behind her as they approached the jewelry shop
She stopped in front of the jewelry shop and the woman smiled at her
“Do you remember me?” Amara asked calmly
“Of course my lady” The old woman replied and Amara smiled
“Then,do you remember the young man who also came here at the same time with me? The handsome young man” Amara tried to describe
The woman shook her head
“I don’t think I remember”
“You can’t?? He was here….”
“Looking for me?” Liam asked from the back and Amara turned immediately
“Oh….Liam” she muttered and bite her lips
“I can see you’re looking for me” Liam smiled
“No I wasn’t” Amara immediately said
“He’s the one you’re looking for right? Seeing his face now,I remember he was also here” The old woman said
Liam smiled and turned to Amara
“Okay,let’s say I was looking for you. I was just curious,it’s nothing” Amara said
“I know” Liam nodded
“You said you live outside Suidan So I guess you’re not really familiar with this place right?” Amara asked
“You’re right” Liam said and Jimmy’s eyes widened
“Then,do you mind taking a walk with me? I will return the favor by showing you some places” Amara said
“Sure,I would love that” Liam smiled
Amara looked at Jimmy
“Oh,he’s my little brother” Liam immediately said and Jimmy coughed, earning a glare from Liam
“We can go without him….” Liam muttered
“Brother,remember you don’t know the way back to the palace,so I have to follow you” Jimmy said softly and Liam bite his lips
“Oh that’s right,let him follow us closely” Amara smiled and started walking
Liam faced Jimmy with a frown
“I will kill you,trust me” He said before following Amara
Jimmy chuckled and also went after them,walking with the maids and making sure he kept his distance from him
“He’s so handsome”
“They are brothers,so hot”
He could hear the maids whispering
‘Maids are headaches’ He said inwardly and shook his head

SUIDAN PALACE**
Esmeralda entered Matilda’s suite and met her with lady Dooley,the royal beads weaver.
“I think this would fit me perfectly” Matilda smiled taking one made in form of a crown
“Sure my lady” Lady Dooley said and Placed it on Matilda’s head
“Wow,you look so beautiful mistress” Dooley said and Matilda smiled
“I will take it” She said
“I’m sure the king won’t be able to take his eyes off once he set his eyes on you mistress” Dooley said
‘Exactly what I want,only me. Just me alone’ Matilda said inwardly
Soon Dooley left
“What do you want?” Matilda asked Esmeralda as she checked herself out in the mirror countless times
“My lady,do you know Adelaide is in the King’s chamber?” She asked
Matilda immediately turned
“Even in the King’s absence?” She asked
“Yes my lady” Esmeralda replied and Matilda scoffed
“That witch” She muttered and dropped the bead and walked out of her suite immediately
Esmeralda smiled and followed her
They got to the King’s chamber and as usual,the guards allowed her in while Esmeralda stayed outside
Matilda entered,her anger grew more the moment she set her eyes on Adelaide who was fast asleep.
“Hey!!” She yelled and immediately Adelaide opened her eyes
She gasped as she saw Matilda’s angry face,she immediately sprang up in fear
“What are you doing here in the King’s absence?” Matilda asked with dangerous glare
“My lady,it was the King’s order” Adelaide muttered in a low voice
“You can leave” Matilda said
“But…….I can’t…” Adelaide muttered and almost immediately a slap landed on her face
“How dare you talk back!” Matilda yelled angrily
“I’m sorry” Adelaide bite her lip
“Get lost!”
Adelaide sniffed in her tears and bowed shortly before taking a step forward to walk out but at that moment,King Lucian Came in
“What’s happening here?” He asked,looking at Adelaide whose face was buried on the floor
“My King….” Matilda called
“Look up” King Lucian ordered Adelaide,ignoring Matilda’s voice
Adelaide sniffed and raised her head up,her eyes are filled with tears and her left cheek was red compared to her white skin
Lucian faced Matilda
“What did you do to her?” He asked coldly
“I met her here in your absence….”
“She told you it was my order right?” King Lucian cut her off
“I…..”
“Even with that,you still went ahead to hit her?? When did you become like that?”
“My king,it’s not what you’re thinking. Let me explain”
“You can go” King Lucian said
Adelaide bowed immediately and made to leave
“Where are you going? I’m talking to her not you” Lucian said and Adelaide was surprised,including Matilda
“My king??” She called
“I said you should leave” he snapped
“Yes….your majesty” Matilda muttered and walked out
King Lucian moved closer to Adelaide and she immediately wiped her tears
“Why did you allow her slap you?” He asked with concern in his eyes
“But..she’s your mistress” Adelaide mumbled
“So what? She has no right to hit you no matter who she is,so stop acting weak in front of her because she’s my mistress” Lucian said
“Does it hurt?” He asked,staring at her cheek
Adelaide shook her head
“I’m fine” she said and looked at him,they both maintained the eye contact for some minutes until she broke it
“Do you need me to do anything? Should I prepare your bath? You must be tired…” She touched his forehead
“Seems like you are….” She stopped when Lucian touched her cheek
She swallowed and stood still
“Don’t worry about me,other maids will do that” King Lucian said and dropped his hand
“I thought I will be the only one for you” Adelaide muttered and he smiled
“Really?”
She nodded
“Then I’m giving you a break because I kept you in here all day,you are free to leave” King Lucian said and Adelaide smiled
“Thank you my king” She bowed and slowly walked out
